  • This was my first solo bikepacking trips of the season. The weather was perfect and my campsite was beautiful. It took me nearly five hours of cycling and 60 kilometres to make it to my site. I did some camping, cooking, fishing and so sleeping on this trip. It was a great adventure.
    Thanks for watching, I always appreciate it.

    Beautiful video. It looked like a spectacular ride, such nice scenery. The tent looks good, not too big but big enough. I still like my MSR tent, but that was expensive. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

      Thanks Sabrina. It was a good trip. I was hoping to wait until later in the fall to go with the changing of the leaves but I couldn't wait. The tent is good, I was happy with it. The MSR tents are nice, very light.

    Buttered chicken hmm lovely.
    I always take a homemade frozen curry with me for that first nights meal.
    It really does taste amazing after a day in the saddle. Washed down with a couple of beers.

    Wow that was a beautiful spot. Buttered chicken sounds like a great camping meal. I’ll borrow that one too. I enjoyed my few days at Fitzroy. Hoping to get back there before they close. The tent I bought was a bit big and difficult to put up myself. I like the look of your new tent . Easier to deal with but not to cramped. Beautiful video. Thanks.❤️🇨🇦

      Thanks Laura, I hope you had a good trip at Fitzroy. Getting the right size tent is a tough one. This new tent seems to be a perfect size. I don't like the small ones as I like to relax in the tent, it wasn't too big either.

      @DavidNorthFilms  Год назад

      Thanks Chris, I like the Aeropress, it makes really good coffee. I bring it on most of my trips but if I am too lazy in the morning I will just make instant coffee. I have the Aeropress Go, I think, and it is small and packs away nicely.

    That butter chicken looked delicious. I make it every once in a while. I use a simmer sauce (in a jar) from Patak’s (brand). They have a few different ones and they’re better than anything I could make from scratch.
    It looked like a nice overnight jaunt.

    • @DavidNorthFilms

      Thanks Alan, ya the butter chicken was good. I normally like to make my food over the fire so I think I will try that next time. The campsite really did smell like butter chicken all night!

    How about the firewood? Never heard the story

    • @DavidNorthFilms
      @DavidNorthFilms  3 месяца назад

      Sorry about that. I'm trying to remember for this specific trip but I made friends with some of the staff at this park and they were kind enough to drop some firewood off to me. You cannot cut down trees or use any fallen trees so you have to purchase wood. Another time at this park a nice couple I was chatting with dropped off wood to my site while I was biking. Most times I do need to carry my own wood, that you can purchase from the camp store. I could go without the fire but I really like a good campfire!

    • @DavidNorthFilms
      @DavidNorthFilms  Год назад +1

      Ya I released the fish. I did have it on video but I drop the slippery little sucker before the water so it was kind of messy. The fish swam away. I had already eaten so no need to eat him...next time!
