    Extremely kind of you to take the time to reply to a complete stranger.... You are a gentleman.
    I did some gravel riding summer 2023. I cycled, among other routes, the Green Velo trail, in Poland. Fantastic riding/camping. I highly recommend it.

    Tim nice holiday ride! On the Finger Lakes ride try to swim the in the waterfalls pool at Treman State Park, The Black Diamond Trail from Cass Park, Ithaca to Taughannock Falls is very scenic. The best sunsets are seen going West from the East, otherwise you will be riding in the afternoon shadows and hard to see. There are waterfalls and gorges everywhere. The Erie Canal is not far from the North end of the Lakes either.

    Hi again Tim.
    I saw on your profile that you are a professional photographer. I hope you don't mind me asking you the following question.
    I'm a bicycle tour guy, not yet tried bike packing, maybe I'm old school, but I tour with a 4 pannier set up. I've never made a RUclips video, or any video actually, but I would like to. Would you mind recommending a quality camera for a beginner, but would also work for me when I get more experience. I'm not talking about an action camera, but I do want to get one of those too.
    Hopefully, Neil.

    • @TimFitzwater
      @TimFitzwater  6 месяцев назад

      If the four pannier set up works for you there is no reason to change it. I've done a couple of off-road(bikepacking) tours and I probably wouldn't do it with my low rider panniers again - but I will be using them on the road this summer.
      Action cam recommendations are easy - always get the latest GoPro.
      When it comes to a "quality camera for a beginner" are you thinking more for stills or video or a bit of both?
      I often ride with a Canon R8 on my back. It is really great because it is reasonably small but with a big amazing sensor. I use it with smaller, cheaper lenses but it can also mount my pro lenses if needed.
