  • A subscriber from Poland helped me cut up parts of my Turbo diesel Mercedes engine to fit a massive main injection pump and the CDI is an absolute monster now. We also installed the larger fuel injectors and uploaded a base tune. This was a very conservative tune and I'm stilling running the factory catalyst converter but she's already so much faster. Next up is putting the catless downpipe back on and tuning on the dyno. Stayed tuned!

@@car.gems. doesn't really matter where you are. It can be done anywhere in the world. BS racing has 750hp om648 built in Finland... It doesn't mean it can't be done in US. 1.9 tdi is very popular and there is a ton of custom parts and modding info available. Can't say the same about cdi.
400hp 1.9tdi will have very little stock parts, so we'll be talking about building powerful engine BASED on 1.9tdi. What we're doing here is adding more power to stock motor.

This way you don't lose the heat in the shop or poison your self. You need to use the dryer vent to stop rodents from getting in your shop.

Wish I could pay this guy to come modify my CDI cover and lines, then tune it. I'd happily do the rest.

I've been told that there are more Polish people in Chicago than in Warsaw, Poland. If that's true Marstan should be right at home.

i love this kind of modding. cutting and grinding away to make shit fit that wasn't designed to be there, its so much more satisfying than simple electronic upgrades.
    love the car alex.

VW parts for win? Wow. That like ford parts on BMW. That’s so wrong but works lol. The tiny pulley is hopefully easy to change as it will be turning so much faster. All in all really cool. Thank you for taking us along

Great job, gents!!! Makes me want one of those CDIs with your mods. I would also like to know how the work affects MPG and emissions. Regarding the latter, I'm guessing they are better since the engine is running more efficiently. MPG is likely affected, but maybe not much, if at all... depends on the tuning of the ECU.
Keep up the great work, Alex. Terrific stuff!
    Happy Thanksgiving!!!!
