I paid to have my cabin filter changed. I opened the glove box today and it wouldn't shut. This video showed me how to get to the air filter area. The cover plate had fallen off, preventing the glove box from closing. Thanks for the video. Now I know how to easily change it myself.

My mother had a small mouse come in through the cabin air and made a nest on top of the air filter. I was able to do this for the cost of the $10 filter! No cost but cookies from my mom.

Every 6 months I would change it
I recently just changed mine but I’m having trouble having it close, it doesn’t lock once I push it back up it drops back down, anything I can do about that ?

my mom's so f-ed up and a hoarder that I changed hers, took out a shit ton of stuff from the compartment first, and took it out, changed it, snapped the door shut, put the glove box back into the normal position, showed the dirty one to her, (which was filthy as hell) and she had the audacity to make a comment that maybe it could be cleaned out because the other side looked fine? it didn't look fine and the whole thing was a dark ass gray where it wasn't clogged with leaves, dirt and feathers. I flew off the handle and told her I was already saving her a ton of money by doing it.
Oh yea! You saved her couple hundred and time also!

Done in less than 2 minutes. Pretty much the same any newer vehicle
The hook at 0:35 seems redundant since the two side tabs hold the box up, what's that for? It seems the only thing it does is hold the box up when the tabs are disengaged. That only happens when you swap out the filter
So hard to put it back in !
Lol line up one side first, you should be good to go
It allows the glovebox to open more slowly instead of just abruptly coming down. Just like soft close or slow close hinges.
How often should this be change ?
Depending on how much you drive. I recommend every 10,000 miles
