hey
Suh dude
What about the game and watch
The Wii remote was called a Wiimote, the Nunchuck was an add on that brought an analog stick.
Mr Manly Man yeah i was confused too i was like "i could swear the nunchuck was an accessory"
Mr Manly Man It's called a Wii Remote actually, not a wiimote
Isaac Allen no it was wiimote you are wrong
oisín da bomb No its official name was the Wii Remote.
Isaac Allen its liscenced as a wiimote
I still think the Gamecube start up screen is the best one ever made!
Simple because of the double meaning logo and the clever cube animation making more relevance to the Gamecube name.
RuddsReels idk the Switch set up process is pretty legit lol
Meme
Thats correct
360 is better tbh
I dunno, the One X has a brilliant startup screen.
This is easily the best era for Nintendo fans. Between the 3DS's stellar library and the Switch's bright horizons, the only thing that could hold Nintendo back now is Nintendo.
The best era for them was 8-bit to 16-bit. They dominated. The Switch is more a recovery.
the best era was Wii, when Nintendo just released Masterpiece after Masterpiece, and never looked back.
Psvita is better then the 3ds by a long mile, and PS4 still blows the switch out of the water on it's weakest day
@@AVAL2775 comparing a 5 year old powerhouse of a console
To
A 1.5 year old hybrid is not a fair comparison
@@AVAL2775 Because of what, exactly? I mean I really wanted to play Bloodborne and God of War and Uncharted and The Last of Us... but I probably won't play them again in at least a few years... and by then I'm probably on something new. Mariokart, Smash and even mucking around in Zelda offers me much more replayability. For pure graphics and competitive gaming, I've got a PC though. Saying that to imply I don't need a Ps4 or Xbox One for my AAA games like the Witcher/Cyberpunk 2077 etc.
I hate the fact that people pick on Nintendo for having fewer powerhouse consoles. I don't need intense graphics to play Halo or Mario. And yes it's very nice to look at but sometimes pretty gets in the way of actual gameplay and there's way too much going on in the game. But it's still good to have nice graphics.
That open world zelda wouldn't have been possible without the hardware to power it. More power doesn't necessarily mean more pixels.
ZEmBaNu Nega yeah cause the fan who made that remake doesn't have the rights to it. The game is still up and you can download it for anywhere you want. Nintendo they had to take action since they were making a remake for that same game. You could have stopped the development before that remake was done but they didn't. Also what part of the switch is a gimmick now? The fact that it's portable and a home console at the same time? Cause it does that perfectly in my opinion
ZEmBaNu Nega lol. No he doesnt. There's something called copyright. It affects the company and their sales and they have all rights to bring down that game. Also as i said you can still download the game. It's been in the making for 10 years and nintendo left it without trying to bring it down. When they decided to make an actual remake for the same game they just made him cease development. The game has already been done anyway. I am in no way a "nintendo fanboy" I'm just following logic. You dont think you're being a bit too extremist? They're still one of the few companies that don't use shitty microtransactions. And no amiibos aren't really microtransactions since you're buying an actual nice figure that gives you extra bonuses in some games and can be used multiple times not just once. And the switch has quite a few good games you just havent seen anything other than zelda lol. Mario odyssey was close to being GOTY. I am a pc gamer myself but i enjoy my switch quite a lot
What if you don't want the amiibo?
Dale Stoddard oh you just don't buy it and enjoy the game cause they rarely add anything more than a little bonus
Hearing the game cube start up brings back so many memories.
thebigCW Calm down , gamecube is only 16 years old!
If someone were ~28-30 years old then the Gamecube would have been released at a perfect time for them to have gotten it as a first home console...
awesomegamer919 Nah,those in their late 20s was the perfect time to buy a gamecube whilst those in there early 20s was the perfect time to buy a gamecube IMO!
I feel like, in terms of games, the gamecube was the best console ever. I may have not lived through that era, but bro, Pikmin, smash melee, metroid prime, windwaker, mario sunshine, double dash, luigi's mansion, I would have LOVED to be a nintendo fan during that era.
dannydude 64 same with the ds/wii era
Boy did I love the Gamecube. What a masterpiece.
I can't believe GameCube sold so poorly, that console was everything for me. In my head I would've expected it to have higher sales than the n64
If you pair it with the Gameboy Player it becomes an even more awesome system.
AyJayG002
GameCube was more towards lil kids , adults and teens had ps2 and Xbox .
AyJayG002
If Nintendo used normal Dvd disks instead of proprietary mini disks, then yes the GC would've sold probably double the N64 sales since it was an amazing system
Wrong, more kids had those consoles dude, i had people in my family buy me, n64, xboxes and ps2's when i was fucking 5.
Zach Hancock You mean that tether to use the GBA with the gamecube? That should've been brought up in this video because for me it was a huge deal.
All the Nintendo consoles are great. But for me growing up in the '80s the original NES was something magical at the time. It's hard to explain the impact it had unless you grew up in that era and experienced it for yourself.
I got an NES in 88 I believe the action pack one and I loved that thing to death, but the SNES blew me away as a kid when it came out. I was like, look at all the colors maaaaaaan.
VvNeo2000vV I know right.Compared to vhs and TV broadcast video games were like the HD of the 80's.
NES to SNES was like 480 to 1080 lol
I loved the nes and snes. Played them a lot same with the n64 because of Zelda and goldeneye. I played GameCube quite a bit but only with friends really. Now my favorite is definitely my switch. I play it more than the PS4 or Xbox one.
SNES master race
The gamecube for me was Nintendo's best console. I have so much memories with it. Playing Mario Party 7, Super Mario Sunshine, Pokemon Gale of Darkness and Colosseum.. just to name a few. I absolutely loved the gamecube.
Juan Robles Nba street vol 2
***** many
I think everyone's favourite Nintendo console is the one they grew up with. I also love the GameCube. I feel like the older consoles get, the more I like them 😂 I guess I just like retro stuff.
The GameCube is by far my favorite! :) I still have mine, and I still play it! :) not as much now since I got the switch. :) but the GameCube will always be in my heart. And MarioKart Double Dash will forever be the best MarioKart game in my opinion! :)
It's also their most underrated console because people at the time though it was geared for children when, oh no, they realized too late that they just missed out on all the excellent titles.
oh H E C K yes . Gameranx is definitely my favorite gaming related channel. I especially love the narration.
Thanks dude!
cade cochran 9/11.was an inside job
even if i watch an IGN video reporting something, I'll watch Gameranx's video because i just love them
Way better than The Know's awkward and obviously reading off the screen behind the camera.
cade cochran yeah, only when falcon is narrating.
N64 will always have the most special place in my heart! Getting a switch once I can afford one though
The Switch is bringing Nintendo back to it's prime! :D
Nintendon't worry about the competition
Bush Plays and Xbox one x
Fidas Trujillo, you mean the Xbox One XXX
Budget Seagull yea
Ellis B
Dude Nintendo doesn't even have that much competition. They're kinda unique when it comes to consistently unique, innovative, fun, and family friendly games.
Jerry Tomas which is why they nintendon't worry about it
One of the best vids yins have done. I lived through most of that stuff and still found myself glued to the screen.
Back in the early 2000s, I read one of the British Nintendo magazines and I discovered that the Japanese company Nintendo was founded in 1889 and their first products were playing cards. I hadn't realised that. I thought the company Nintendo was founded in around the 1970s, 1960s or 1950s.
Anyway I used to have a N64 Game Boy Colour, Game Boy Advance, Nintendo Gamecube, Nintendo DS, Nintendo DSI, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U. Now I have a Nintendo Switch and a mini NES.
Hello from Ireland 🇮🇪
20+ minutes of gameranx? im all in.
You hit the nail on the head when you said that processing power matters a lot less now. If I want great processing power, I'm not going to buy a an Xbox or a Playstation. I'll just buy a computer that can run games even better and let me do all the other things I use my PC for. The Switch is great, because of its flexibility and innovation. That's what people want now.
Gergő Kovács I personally dont give a shit about exclusives, so that isnt an issue for me. I'm content with my Xbox One S and 3DS and PS3
I'm kinda sick of hearing about how everyone wants innovation. First, I'm not entirely convinced its true, even a little bit. What even core Nintendo Fanboys want is MORE games from their favored IP. Would *you* rather have something from the Nintendo Mystery Innovation Bin or a new Mario Kart, Zelda, or Metroid game? Has everyone forgotten how poetically people waxed about Nintendo's innovation with the Wii...and as soon as they ran out of breath they packed the thing off into the closet where it is gathering dust to this day.
I would wager that the Wii has the lowest number sold/hours played ratio of any major console ever. Not because no one played it, LOTS of people bought them and played it...its just those inflated numbers betray it, the ones who weren't committed to the various Nintendo IPs just didn't play it very much, or very long.
Ben switch will follow it's processors. It won't last
swich has the advantage of shining off-season. PS5 and X-box TWO aren't coming anytime soon. So aside from core console gamers the only gaming devices that matter are PC and Switch. Nintendo should work on widening its market with switch. It should reach out to Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, Middle East...
that's what people want and that's why playstation has been outselling the fuck out of nintendo for the last few generations other than wii.
man falcon. this was the best most detailed video of the evoluction of nes consoles wow. im blown away. one of the best gameranx vids to date!!!
Gamecube is my favorite console of all time but absolutely love everything else Nintendo makes because I'm a huge Nintendo fan!
The market crashed - in the US! Many people tend to forget that both the European and the Japanese market were fine.
Blame the RUclips algorithm.
Does that matter? It still saved the American game market.
Yeah, but the US is still BY FAR the largest video game consumer on the planet. Video game sales in the US are normally triple that of Japan and up to 5 times that of all of Europe.
And they're still making Zelda, Pokémon and Mario
Illusionary wall ahead OH MAN I LOVE ZELDA!!
Because if they stopped, it would be a riot.
Give me 5 COD games and ill play for a day
give 5 zelda games and ill play forever
MJ Rinal
Give me a mainstream game that can be played on a portable console and I'm sold for life.
If they stopped making Pokemon my Life would be over.
Nintendo is quality. I honestly never had a issue with a Nintendo product. I have xbox and playstations and there issues more times than not.
Pat Layne Nintendo is better than Sony and Xbox
Usually yes, but this generation they started to slip a bit, for example putting low end joysticks on Joy Cons
Yeah sameee
Sony and Xbox mostly go for graphics and the gamer type of people. Nintendo doesn’t always focus on graphics they make sure the games are fun and easy to play by anyone, from 7 year olds to 70 year olds. And I can definitely agree with quality. I have a Wii that’s literally from the launch in 2006 and it still works perfectly fine. Sure it’s a tiny bit loud but I’ve gotten used to it and actually forget that it’s loud. I also have a switch that is almost a year old now I think and it’s amazing. But don’t get me wrong PlayStation and Xbox Is cool. I just like Nintendo better, it’s fun and a memory maker
D R I F T
GameCube ended up being my favorite overall Nintendo console. Eternal Darkness and Metroid Prime 1 were incredible at release. FZero GX was also great with 4 people and the switch needs an FZero. Great vid.
I love the GameCube and n64. I was born during the transition from n64 to gcn and played both. A lot of my childhood was spent playing them.
Nintendo Switch is killing it right now.
Samus Aran and you're getting a new game
Michael Morales Yessss 💙💙
+Michael Morales 2* new games ;)
Pshhhhh hahaha i love how you guys think your in the console war winning just like PC 😂
Juanito the Great I killed my dog!
awesome video. Great documentary with a lot of cool details.
My NES cartridge slot wore out from switching games and probably using the game genie as well. My dad was able to take it apart, clean it, and get it to read games again. I was so happy and proud of my dad back then.
People love to hate on the Wii u but I have played mine everyday since Smash 4 was released. (can't get enough 1on1 online) I have an Xbox one and a ps4 and still find myself playing the Wii u.
The only reasons why the Wii U didn't sell is because of terrible marketing and because Sony and Microsoft released their consoles too early.
The Wii U had great third party support early on with Assassin's Creed III & IV, Call of Duty Black Ops II & Ghosts, Madden & FIFA 13, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, etc. But poor sales after two years and upcoming new consoles pushed developers away.
But Microsoft and Sony still released the Xbox One and PS4 too early. They weren't a big enough jump in overall quality to warrant a release in 2013. What is the PS4 Pro should have been the base PS4 and what is the One S should be the base XBox One. The Wii U should have had four years as the most powerful console, better marketing would have kept developers on board. Everything that the 360 and PS3 got would have also been released on the Wii U.
Christian Young I'd be playing it everyday but unfortunately my launch gamepads range is diminished, I have to be one foot away. Gotta send it back to Nintendo. If you have a Wii or Wii u send me your friend code.
I don't understand the existence of the ps4 and xbox 1.
there just a pc in a console nowadays.
Nintendo's consoles actually try to revolutionize gaming.
Nintendo and Valve are like the Albert Einsteins in Gaming
Midna78 How many people actually watched that press event? I'd guess more casual gamers (the majority) did not. Outside of Cartoon Network, Disney and Nickleodeon, how many times did you see an advertisement for the Wii U on TV? For two years, how much of Wii U's marketing was only centered around the game pad? Whoever was in charge of marketing the Wii U in America should have been fired.
Christian Young I don't have a Wii U but if I did have one I would basically use it as a Smash 4 machine. That game is pretty darn awesome. I could play that for hours and I would not be bored
Gameranx is an OG. Only 1 ad on a 23 minute video.
Iknowmyabds5 ikr
Iknowmyabds5 unlike clickbaiters who put 6 ads in a 10 minute video
Nintendo has honestly been a huge part of my life, I have every one of their consoles! But my question is: what are they gonna do after the switch? They can't just make another hybrid console, because it would be too similar to the switch, but I also think people would miss having a hand held and home console all in one. It seems like they've reached a dead it. But of course that's what I said about the Wii, and they've made 2 amazing consoles since then.
Damien Green uh since when was the Wii u amazing?
Also the switch an underpowered tablet
UndertaleSkeleBros Graphics < Gameplay
Well next step is. VR with motion controls in an extreme way in all honesty. 😂
They are going to make a smartphone with good controllers. Or good controllers that run on the current smartphone hardware. That can be attached and detached from the phone just like the switch. I like the switch but its too big to be a true portable for me. The games I play on the go are not the same games I like to play on a huge tv. When the time comes, hardware will be small and powerful enough to run AAA games on a smartphone sized device. So you will just either wireless connect to the large display or dock it. And be able to play the same games on the go, with the small screen on the device if you like. But I need my portable console to be portable, not an ipad with controllers. More like an Iphone with hardware controllers. Heck, by that time you might be able to have a cost effective projector attached to the micro console. If nintendo made a smart phone console, I would buy it.
@@AVAL2775 The Switch is an overpowered tablet that is fully capable of running some amazing games. Breath of the Wild is probably the most beautiful game to date, and it was on that "underpowered tablet."
This video must have took so long to make and edit, you guys did a great job
The Gamecube controller is the most comfortable and logical controller to date. Tapping A+B in Resident Evil 4 just felt so right!
AuGZA That C button/joystick hybrid absolutely sucked though. I remember playing a friend's copy of Halo on Xbox and coming home and buying Timesplitters and realizing how much worse it was. That was it's only major fault as a controller.
felt like that I just watched a Nintendo documentary
well you did...
It wasn't complete. Disappointing

NES and SNES was my favorite 👍
I like the GameCube

Great video. I grew with the NES (well, an MSX really) and all these last years I've been hoping Nintendo reach the glory of the SNES again. Now I think that was a whimsical thought and I am simply happy to look forward to what the Switch will bring to us. ^_^
I have never seen games as a trend I've ways seen games as a passion
cunning leader5 Exactly! Games is/should be about having fun, new, interesting, cooperative, competitive, educational, scary, life changing, narrative, beautiful, and amazing experiences. Whether that’s alone or with friends and/or family, not what currently trending on Twitter, RUclips, or.
i see you as a king prawn ready to peel.
This is the side of gaming that's fading unfortunately 😕 It sounds cliché to bring this up at this point but gaming really is just becoming about micro transactions and monetization over quality, concise experiences. If only all developers looked at games the way you do.
the switch is going to sell big time
With Monster Hunter and Pokemon, that's already a give in
Aidan Perry it's not getting Monster Hunter for now. Maybe after the release of World but idk
Optimus prime Rib if I could actually buy one without its price being inflated to all hell
Would make more money if super smash was playable
David Munoz Itd be a really stupid decision for Capcom to alienate the MH/Japan portable fans, so there will be a Switch MH hopefully.
This is one of the best made videos on RUclips I've seen.
The best era for Nintendo for me personally is the DS and Wii era. It seemed like everyone had a wii and a Ds. You could talk to any kid in the school and they’d say they have one. It was huge. And I loved it.
It took me years to even realize that the Wii remote is basically a wireless NES controller rotated... What an idiot I am...
my eyes are opened
Agreed.
Dummy
"Now you're playing with power" an ironic quote nowadays
William R.F. You are, but with slightly less
Not slightly. The Wii and WiiU were much much weaker in terms of hardware than the competition, even when compared to mobile hardware that was already available at the time. The WiiU is based on a 1998 architecture which became increasingly more costly to maintain over the years, the PowerPC 750 (Same architecture used in the PowerMac G3, Gamecube and Wii). The Xbox 360's PowerPC 970FX was actually a lot better than that, the WiiU's only advantage over the Xbox 360 was the GPU and nothing else... Only the Switch is more comparable to the current consoles because finally a CISC Nintendo console and with fairly modern ARM architecture. Sure that it could be better with Nvidia's upcoming Tegra X2 but still the ARM Cortex A53 and A57 used on the Switch's Tegra X1 is a LOT better than the PowerPC 750 that Nintendo used on it's consoles for 18 years.
William R.F. More like now you are playing with fun!
You do, the consoles take more and more electricity. Thats why they build nuclear power plants too. :)
I like my Wii U almost as much as my ps4. There’s been a lot of great systems. I also still own a purple game cube. They say there will be no new systems built but time will tell.
Tennessee Charles They just said they liked it almost as much, doesn’t mean they think it’s objectively better or worse.
Love the old cartridge based stuff, nes, snes, n64, gb, gbc, gba. So much personality.

I have massive nostalgia for the Gamecube (I still play mine), as that was the first console I ever bought. It helped me throught several rough years, and you could say saved my life. Windwaker was the first game I got for it, but the GC port of the Dreamcast game Skies of Arcadia is my favourite.
We had a secondhand Genesis (Mega Drive where I live) for about 2 weeks of the holidays, when I was 12, before my dad deliberatly broke it, but I don't count that. (He wanted to be our hero by fixing it but he didn't understand it and broke it completely. He discovered there was a floppy disc in it and removed it, no doubt thinking that simply putting it back would fix it, it didn't)
2001 game cube come back
Real until death YYYES! I love the gamecube, I found mine in my closet in 2017
Timberthewolf ! I guess you could say your GameCube came out of the closet
Deku Pawel well said XD
Real until death played Melee this morning lol
I just started to get into GameCube!
SNES is BY FAR my favorite Nintendo hardware, and I think it represents a high-water mark not only for Nintendo, but for video games in general. That being said, I do plan on getting a Switch, and haven't actually been excited about a Nintendo console since 1996. I like for games to look good, but I demand games to BE good, and that's something that Nintendo has always been good for. Sure, the Switch won't play Far Cry 5 in 4K or something, but I think it's going to have a great library nonetheless.
I haven’t played my Xbox since I got my switch I love playing on the tv, and when lying in bed. Just playing wherever you are and being able to play is great!
"Genisis does what Nintendon't"
Go into a financial crisis and stop making consoles
Grump and milking the sonic franchise
Actually, that was Sega (the company), not the Genesis/Mega Drive. :P
I laughed so hard when I read this comment.
Yeah, it is "Sega does what Nintendon't" . The Mega Drive wasn't the console that led Sega to collapsing. That was the DreamCast.
This is accurate. Nintendon't suck.

Uh...
Nintendo's Gamecube and Wii U consoles were definitive failures. Famicon/NES, SNES, 64 did really well, the Wii outsold everything but the ps2, and the Switch is looking to dominate the market.
Nintendo hasn't always done well. They COULD coast on profits for years though, so there is that.
Gulyus The GameCube didn't sell well but was a phenomenal console.
Gulyus Wii U isn't a failure

Game cube start up is so statsfying. The wii and switch are more for like family friendly game system, that anyone can play, and which it has some really good games.
Great job! I loved watching this video. I now need to find the N64 I found at a pawn shop and plug it back in!! And the Gamecube!! Thanks!!!!!
Xbox and Playstation are more powerful then Nintendo consoles. But Nintendo will always have the best games of all time on it. IMO
Sir Duck tbf the wiiu and switch(console and portable) are as strong as the xbox 1 and PS4

He was referring to Nintendo's home consoles. The Virtual Boy is technically a "portable" console.
wait, Nintendo was a card company? huh
The Icy Gamer Kid Are you like 12 years old.
They also had a taxi, hotel and etc
yes they did other things other than games back then even i didnt know maybe because im from 1994
The Icy Gamer Kid yes it is a card company almost all the handhelds and consoles have game cards instead of disk’s and I new this when I was like 6 and I’m 10 years old (-_-)
Brah really😑
I feel so old I grew up on all of the systems mentioned in this video except for the Wii u amazing how home gaming has only been around for a little bit never payed attention to how gaming consoles haven't been around that long explains why my dad talks about the glory days at the arcade.
Why does he say gam instead of game?
SharkBitePlayz might be Canadian, eh!
Not me
bought a switch in june 2018, best decision ever.
The gamecube may be my favorite console I've ever played.
Super Mario kart 64 was legendary for my formative years. My entire family battled as if our lives depended on it on a daily basis. That game and console will always have a special place in my heart.
I still have my gamecube with Mario Kart Double Dash and Legend of Zelda windwaker and ocarina of time
eivom Ocarina of time wasn't on the GameCube lol
Qazi Islam it did get released on the GameCube as a part of the windwaker collection. Ocarina of Time got rereleased multiple times with only minor updates (first on the GameCube, then on the wii virtual console, and finally on the 3ds) to its graphics.
Jake Alter No it did not. A port called Ocarina of Time Master Quest did ;) but there was no Ocarina of Time on the GameCube :P
Actually...there was TWO collection discs that contained Ocarina of Time.
The first disc was Ocarina of Time AND OoT Master Quest.
www.gamestop.com/games/the-legend-of-zelda-ocarina-of-time-master-quest/28059
The second disc pair, which is FAR rarer, contained The Legend of Zelda (original), LoZ II The Adventure of Link, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask.
zelda.gamepedia.com/The_Legend_of_Zelda:_Collector%27s_Edition
So yeah...Ocarina of Time has a version that is playable on the N64, the 3ds, and the Gamecube.
Still not the most expensive Gamecube related item - that would be the LoZ/Metroid Prime dual feature. The Box is worth $250. Not the games, the BOX.
www.ebay.com/itm/Legend-of-Zelda-The-Wind-Waker-Metroid-Prime-Combo-Nintendo-GameCube-/182561921870
Qazi Islam Dude look it up there is ocarina of time on the GameCube. I have have it I can sent you a pick. The disc has the original and the hard version master quest.
Do a video on Nintendo handhelds starting from the Game And Watch
My two favorite consoles right now are the Switch for being just something new, different, and just amazing and the Gamecube for being nintendo's most traditional console as well as the many nostalgic memories that I have towards it.
Great vid! I loved the GameCube, it had 2 of my favourite games of all time on it (Metroid Prime and Res Evil 4). I was a huge fan of the N64- that also had one if my all time faves - Occarina of Time. BUT I have to go with the mighty SNES. Super Metroid, Mario World, Mario Kart (still the best one IMO) and A Link to the Past! Gotta love the big N.
I think we need to stop calling videos like this the "evolution of...etc." Evolution implies it always got better. Nothing has been better than the SNES, my guys.

Super interesting. Although one point is that the wii wasn’t the first system to have Dolby pro logic. There’s Nintendo 64 games that have it (both Zelda games on the n64 have it they just don’t use the logo but trust me put it in surround mode and it works with proper panning and direction to the rear channels) and they started using the logo on the GameCube. None of this effects the quality of this excellent video just something I felt compelled to mention because playing ocarina of time in my childhood was my first proper surround sound experience and it still sounds great.
What's funny is that, prior to the Nintendo Switch, I too was saying that the gaming companies need to start working on a tablet like gaming console that can also connect to the TV, since many tablets being sold during that time, at the very least, had a mini-hdmi input, so you could use it w/ your TV (I actually purchased a cheap $100.00 tablet from Walmart, around that time and noticed that it also had a built-in mini-hdmi input.
I could also see that the mobile gaming market was getting more popular, as there were a lot of mobile peripherals being sold, primarily for gaming related purposes (such as the mobile gaming controllers, etc). Therefore, it almost seemed that it would be inevitable and if the gaming hardware companies didn't take notice, they had a major problem.
I think the switch is a revolutionary idea. Something that would has Sony and Microft scratching their heads thinking "why didn't we think of that."
nicholas collins Ps vita was similar to this idea. I’m sure they did think of it. R and D and actually going ahead with the project is another story.

What day should you marry your NES.... Wednesday. No okay how about this one, I'd like to make a Zelda pun but I wouldn't tri and force it on to someone. Okay I'll just leave.
KaiTheNinja 😂
You made my day! Thanks!
i have some of the greatest memories with the super NES (at my friends place) and the N64 (which i owned). I only owned 3-4 games but boy i had the time of my life and played them for hundreds of hours.
Switch for me! Hope you do a update version of this in 10 years!
I want a Nintendo switch. I used to be all Nintendo. Had a nes Snes n64 then switched to Xbox Xbox 360 Xbox one. Bought a Wii U just after the switch LOVE THE WII U. That's how I rock breath of the wild, on the Wii U looks amazing. Herd the Wii U runs it better than the switch as the switch version is essentially a Wii U port. But still nobody has any switches for sale here. Also they're quite expensive at $400 in Canada. I'll stick with my 3ds and Wii U as I am slowly experiencing all the great games the Wii U has.
wiiu was great systemm
Buy it from GameStop or eBay for less than $200

Switch runs breath of the Wild at 900p at the dock and 720p on handheld, switch runs better even on the handheld mode
I live in Canada and I found a used Switch with Zelda breath of the wild (BOTW) for 275$ CA

COULD YOU PLEASE DO NINTENDO PORTABLE CONSOLES! please. thx
p.s i loved this video
I have very fond memories of SNES, N64, and GameCube era of games. Kinda skipped over the Wii and WiiU besides playing mario party/kart on the Wii. But over all Nintendo never failed in my eyes as they had the same drawback as other companies for their consoles/games. Glad to see they are innovating more and more.
While I have a lot of love for a lot of Nintendo devices (in particular, Gamecube, 3DS, and Super Nintendo were amazing systems that I really enjoyed), Switch is probably my favorite Nintendo system to date. The concept really works for me. I love being able to play on the TV or on the go. This is one of the things I loved about the PSP and Vita. On top of that, the UI, while a bit lacking in features, is ultra fast and games come on a cart instead of a disc which is preferable for me.
It also has a ton of games and is getting a ton more. While many of the games are ports, many of the games I wanted to get elsewhere but missed out on, so they're new to me. On top of that, it's getting a ton of limited releases and English Asian versions of games, which is something I used to get a lot of on Vita.
At this point, about 90% of the games I'm getting are on Switch now. Not because the Switch is the most powerful hardware or the online is the best, because neither of those things are true, but because the hardware concept and execution is solid and many of the games are interesting. Sure, a lot of the games are ports, but many of those ports are games I missed elsewhere, only have a digital version of, or want a portable version of. But on top of that, many of the games are new titles that I just want to get a portable version of and there's also quite a bit of exclusives, most of which are right down my alley.
The NES wasnt Nintendo's first console it was actually the "nintendo color TV game"
you should make videos about other companies console history too
Vasilis Luf check out their channel they do.
eh
Wouldn't really be much for other currently mainstream video game companies (Sony and Microsoft). I'm pretty sure all Microsoft has no handhelds and only 4 versions of the Xbox. Sony has a bit more, but not enough to cover more than 5 minutes unless they stretch it out a lot more than necessary.
They have
Ridiculous Nintendo fanboy comment. "Mainstream console"...yeah, of course. Sony and Microsoft simply serve a *much* bigger group of *different* gamers, unlike Nintendo who just make the same IPs over and over again for decades. Thus more sold consoles on almost every console generation.
SNES Marked my childhood. Lived in Mexico at that time, we received it as a gift from an Aunt with Mario All Star. I can still remember that unforgivable smell as we opened it. 90's Golden era
The old days. I remember the GCN and the Wii. 2 very awesome consoles.
Any one still have a wii in 2019?
Me
Yup

Nintendo HEROS NEVER DIE
1:30 woah. it’s weird seeing an ad for an NES at target lmao
The original NES was my first console that I got around 1990 or 1991 which was also around the time I was just getting into kindergarten or elementary school. I got the Super Nintendo a couple years ago because my mom was the best. The Wii is latest Nintendo system I've ever owned and is also the first Nintendo system I bought myself. My brother has a Wii U but I never played it and I honestly forgot the Switch is a thing now, mostly because I've never seen it personally but I'll look into it. These days I'm more of a PlayStation gamer and have been since the late original PS days and early PS2 days. I also play games on computer but mostly Final Fantasy XIV specifically.
