If your machine has a feed drop lever, it will be on the lower part of the machines perimeter. It will be either in the back, behind the feed mechanism, or in the front on the right side. Your instruction manual will help with that, if you have one.
My bobbin shell is not reaching the highest point ( I believe you call it a hook, I’m talking about the half moon on the left hand side) how can I fix this.
I have a janome SUV1122 and I just don’t know what I’m doing wrong with this machine everytime I go to use it the needle is always getting jammed and most the time breaks … no matter how many times I change the needle or re thread it still gets jammed! I’m not sure if you can help me with this but if you can thanks very much
Look for burrs and scratches on your shuttle hook. That’s almost always the problem when those issues occur. I have a video on that. Polish the scratches out and that may eliminate the problem.
Hi i. Have singer 247 its picking up the thread both for the straight stitch and zig zig yet its not sewing no thread at all on either sides of cloth. Kindly help.

Hello, how are you? I have a sewing machine from the brand FINESSE and it is zig zag but the zig zag is not working, I have been trying for a long time and I can't find a solution, I don't know if I can send the photos to be able to help me.
I believe it’s made in Poland at the same factory that made the Singer Stylist in the seventies. It’s a good little machine if the composite components are still intact. If the zig zag cam is on the cam stack and is turning, the problem could be that the needle bar plunger needs oil. You will find it located on the needle bar about half way up on the right side of the needle bar. Oil that mechanism and work the needle bar left and right.( make sure that the zig zag width is set at its widest) If the needle bar is in the right side of the swing, it should move left and right if you move it manually.
@@brownr749 the long groove on the needle will be facing to the front. The flat side of the needle will be facing away from you. (To the rear) I’m assuming we are talking about a front load machine, where the bobbin case snaps in from the front., or drops in, in front of the needle.
@@brownr749 you load the bobbin turning counterclockwise. Slide the thread in the notch at the 5:00 position and pull it to the left under the flat tension spring and leave it laying to the left with about six inches of the thread extended. After you thread the needle, put the upper thread to the rear with your left hand and turn the hand wheel towards you with your right hand. When you turn the hand wheel towards you it will pick up the bobbin thread. Put both threads to the rear and lower the presser foot onto the fabric. Hold both threads to the rear tightly until the machine has sewn a couple stitches. That will keep the machine from jamming. Good luck. 🍀
Can’t thank you enough!! Finally a video that clearly shows everything as you explain. I can stop beating my head against a brick wall now 🎉😁

I have a brothers lx3014 the needle willl not pick up the bobbin thread .
Most likely the needle is bent or not installed properly. Turn it around and see if that helps. If it doesn’t, it may be out of time. 😎👍🏼
Hi i. Have singer 247 its picking up the thread both for the straight stitch and zig zig yet its not sewing no thread at all on either sides of cloth. Kindly help.
Needle in backward?
Wrong needle?
Bent needle?
Sewing on woven fabric with incorrect needle?
Broken upper bevel gear?
Hook timing off?
Oversized thread?
Threaded improperly?
Or something else?
😎👍🏼

Replace the needle with a brand new one and place it all the way up to the stop point being sure that the flat side is to the rear.
