  • I unbox and breakdown the New Berkley Nessie 7. I compare it to the Megabass Magdraft Ayu Twitcher and the Grow Design Works Flag 170. I then take them all to the water and show you the differences in each one. I show you the pros and cons so you can make informed decisions when purchasing. #fishing #bassfishing #largemouthbassfishing #berkley #swimbait #swimbaitfishing #glidebait #fishingvideo #unboxing

    I own all 3 plus 2 other types of magdraft soft swimbaits. The nessie with tungsten strips is fire. Out the box stock its definitely grow designs. For the price definitely Berkley. I have seen trash fisherman catching PBs in my state in January on the Nessie. If the raver hasu or twictcher Sank or had nail weight holes it would be top.. love the honest review regardless of the controversy. The size 5 nessie is no good. I have had 3 fish completely swallow them

      Nice. Yeah I actually ordered a couple 5" Nessies just to see what they looked like and they are on back order. When they come I will just return them, after throwing the seven I'm interested to see the nine. I havent bought the hasu because I dont burn a bait that often. As far as the twitcher I dont mind chopping it like a wakebait Iv caught some Giant smallmouth up north where alot of guys are thowing spooks.

      @@deebz22 I'm in Jersey also! I rarely get to fun fish though Iv been fishing tournaments for the last 5 or 6 years so I dont really get to just go out and target fish because its always practice. Large baits have helped me win thousands of dollars the past few years when I roll them into a tournament day. There are not many that will consistently help you out. A DRT is one of them Iv won alot of money with.

      Curious what you mean with the tungsten strips? Assuming you aren't just talking about putting nail weights in it.
      Anyway cool video, still haven't picked one up but probably will soon. Kind of been hung up on hearing how bad the hook up ratio has been for some people. Don't know until you try I guess.

    I wouldn't expect a $7-$13 lure to perform as well as a $50-$100 bait. The nessie is ok for what it costs, one downside of the nessie is they put so much junk in it so you can hardly get a nail weight in it dead center, the internal harness and the plastic of the stabilizer fin take up to much room inside the actual bait. I would also say don't get the nessie5 because it doesn't like a slow steady retrieve, you can burn it then kill it to let it kick out or chop it like the others but it's so light it stays right under the surface and the body is so tiny that nail weights don't really fit well

    I just got 4 of the 9" nessy's in last week, in golden shiner, couple shad patterns & a perch. I caught a 3 pounder on my second cast & caught 5 more smaller 1-2's Sunday morning in a short 5 hour trip. Only used one bait it's holding up well & not taorn up at all. Glide bait bait is goon down here in southern SC. I definitely wanna try the flag & megabass soft glides still. The nessy swims pretty good but I only played with it one trip so far. I don't have confidence in it as with my other big swimbaits but time will tell. Hopefully I can a bigger bite on it. Idk how it will hold up to a big bass?

    I tried none of these. I live in germany, hard to get hands on those. But the Flag is just waay to expensive for a soft bait since here we are fishing for pike and they gonna shred that thing apart.
    Im planning on buying the magdraft hasu raver tho soon since its more affordable, have you tried that one yet?

    • @Ijustwanttofish2024
      @Ijustwanttofish2024  5 месяцев назад

      No I haven't tried that one yet. If you are fishing for pike im not sure if I would use any of these because the right fish may just destroy the bait. I would stay with hard baits or less expensive plastics.
