  • My two secret baits are the Berkley PowerBait four inch power worm and the Strike King KVD Dream shot. These are two of my favorite baits to catch bass anywhere. I go into detail on where to find them and how to get the fish in the boat.

Thats awesome to hear. My goal is to put videos out that make people better. I always use a 3000 or 4000 size reel. Iv tried the 2500 and the spools are too small for me and you can have some twisting issues on larger fish. The larger spool the further the cast and you have more control over the fish.

Dream shot catches absolutely everything. LMB, SMB, walleye, pike, crappie etc etc ..best drop shot worm , the xzone slammer is pretty decent too..but there’s just something about all strike king caffeine products - they’re great and get but. Caffeine shad, swim’n caffeine shad which is a paddle tail but throwing it weightlesss, on a 5/0 Mustad KVD grip pin keeper. Something about that very subtle paddle tail weightless on the fall gets hammered by BIG (3-5lb)smallmouth on my river they absolutely love the caffeine shad and dream shot probably because of the leeches and Logperch, goby..the strike king half shell does work too man.

!00% I agree with everything you said. I was actually catching bedding fish over the weekend with the half shell because it is smaller and easier to get a hook in them when they are just trying to move the bait around. Thanks for the comment, great info.

It's like being able to micro glide or jerk a small finesse bait. Mojo Rigged finesse baits will work well when the Dropshot does not. It's a really natural looking fry presentation in comparison.

@@gregc2621 It was around 16.5 per day for first and second they were really close. I had close to 15 per day so I was a bit off but still way happy. I had an area pretty much to myself fishing hard cover wich is my strength. They were fishing an area I went through at high tide and I knew it was the worst tide to go through there because I have fished it many times in the past. I never got bit and thats the tricky thing about tidal water, they may be there but you may be there at the wrong tide.
