  • I compare the Berkley Cullshad 6, 6th sense Hangover, Bass Mafia Daingerous, and the Spro Megalajohn 6 to the megabass magdraft. I break down the strengths and weaknesses of each bait. I retrieve the baits at different speeds on the water. I give an on the water demonstration so you can make informed purchases. #fishing #bassfishing #largemouthbassfishing #livescope #smallmouth #berkley #bassmafia #6thsense #basslures #megabass

    Everyone hates on the daingerous because they think it's a ripoff and the same bait. They aren't the same and it's not a replacement, it compliments the OG so well, paired with the magdraft they're the only 2 you'll need. The OG is king when fishing mid column at that perfect retrieve, and the daingerous is king when you want to slow down or speed up. The cullshads were a let down, the first ones that came out you can't even fish without adding a couple of weights in the slots and even then, it was more sensitive to speed than the magdraft and the replacement cullshads I got swam just as bad. I didn't even think about buying a hangover because I already saw some videos of how they swim.

    I got rid of all my magdrafts in exchange for the Daingerous swimbait. Reason being, the daingerous fits my style far better when working fast or slow without hindering its actions. Secondly, I personally love Chris story behind making the Daingerous. Yes I’m fully aware it looks like the OG but it has far better characteristics that the OG could never have. I’m not a one retrieve speed type of guy so the OG ain’t it for me.

      Yeah I am interested in taking it out when the water warms up. I didnt watch anything before I made this video but last night a video popped up in my feed and I decided to watch it. Ben was going over each one and he talked about the slow sink having less weight in the head and having a unique action. Thats the one I bought not knowing anything. • @Ijustwanttofish2024
      @Ijustwanttofish2024  5 месяцев назад

      From what I can tell you seem to be right. I'm assuming the sixth sense marketing machine sold them to a lot of people that may be new to swim baiting. That's all good but they may be frustrated. I don't watch it all but it seems like Ben is trying his best to help people use the bait. I could see (and say in the video) there is something to the bait, but you have to dial in your retrieve. By the way I love your name I have at least 30 Daiwa combos.@@Daiwa_Is_King

    The hangover actually has done me fairly well and the mag draft . I noticed the heavy on the hangover compared to slow sink it takes hair to get adjusted. Think the fish 3/10.5ish in ky gave me little confidence in it colder water temps 45-55 ..the msg draft hard to beat. Nice video I haven’t tried the bass mafia yet ..u pointed out good things there on the head up difference to the the exact my concern was the magnet . Wish it was already glued in. I did notice the smell off the hangovers ..I think it draws fish well and in ky a lot guys aren’t chucking bigger swimmer ls as much so it’s something different ..I think they’re differently more of a situational bet here!!! Big pre spawners down to 15inchers munch the mag draft and hangover I noticed

    Alot of people fish swimbaits/soft plastics with a lack of knowledge of how to fine tune em. You can fish em however you want if you know how to tune them to your style of fishing. Tight Lines & Be Safe 💪

    • @Ijustwanttofish2024
      @Ijustwanttofish2024  6 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I would agree with you. There is a bit of a learning curve because every bait is a bit different. That being said the bass mafia is a perfect beginner bait. Really just cast and wind.

    • @aggietommyjones
      @aggietommyjones 6 месяцев назад +2

      I’m not arguing but why would you spend more money on a bait you have to tune and play with? Not only does it seem safer to go with a bait you don’t have to play with, it’s a better financial decision.
      And while I do get that it’s fun for a lot of us to try out tackle, $30 to try out a swim bait seems like a little much when there’s cheaper options that work better out of the package. $30 is $30 and at that price point, having a handful of 3-4 different baits each max would definitely suit most people’s needs as far as different styles of fishing more than having 1 of 20 different baits that cost more.

    • @Ijustwanttofish2024
      @Ijustwanttofish2024  6 месяцев назад

      i think most people share your view. Alot of guys just like to tinker. One example ill share for myself is I use a japanese swimbait that always needs a nailweight. I take the time to do this because the profile and look is unique and catches giant bags. These baits in the video are all real similar and I get your point. @@aggietommyjones

    • @aggietommyjones
      @aggietommyjones 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@Ijustwanttofish2024 yeah I guess time wise I just don’t have the time to tinker. Or maybe I just don’t have the money to buy enough I would want to tinker with. I’m just a system type guy. I’d have a handful of sb’s like the zaldaingerous one that I could fish fast. A handful of Magdrafts (I like the freestyle where I am) to just be my workhorses, and then maybe a wide wobbling one that I could slow down. If I had to tinker, I might play with weights to change sink rate but as long as it was systemized, I’d like that. Just different ideology.
      But then again, I’m also the guy who only carries plastics in GP or B&B/junebug and will carry 5-10 different shapes max. 👍🏼

      Thats a great question. All those baits were brand new to me that day but the megabass. The megabass skips great. I honestly dont know about the others, but after I made the video I was thinking the same thing!

      Im assuming the bass mafia skips good because Chris designed it.

    the con to this test is, this is a cold water test and these baits will peform much different in higher temp water. you should retest them when the water hits at least 55. that water looks like its in the 30's lol.

      The water was 50, but I see your point. Most people will start throwing these baits in 55-60 degree water so I was not that far off. Thanks for the comment!

      @@Ijustwanttofish2024 looked colder, I start throwing them around 52 degrees or so, rising sun is soft enough to use in colder temps. Best of luck to you.
      PS 8" cullshad does not run well at all so far, maybe this summer that will change. rubber is to stiff imo. rolls all over the place right now. current temps being 55 to 60 depending on body of water in WA.

      Thanks Chris. My pleasure. To be honest I was surprised in the bait because I was thinking mag draft. Like I said I really didn't have any negatives. Good job on making the bait, I can tell you put your time in. I'm doing some other comparisons right now and unfortunately some companies just make bad copies. Thanks for the comment.
