There is just something about need to breathe that makes me want to listen, the more I hear the more I want. Wonderful lyrics, great vocals, always inspiring
Each album is like a book, a song is like a chapter. "Read" the whole album before you really judge, because odds are it will tell a life story. Needtobreathe has written plenty of songs not based on God. The Outsiders, Girl from Tennessee, etc. But this band has gone through SO many stages of life. To the people saying "I wish they would write more Christian music" or "they're not setting a good example", look. No one can set a perfect example, but they set the most real example. Every Christian is going to party once in their lives or love someone deeply or feel like running away or even praise God. So stop complaining. The fact that Needtobreathe keeps it real and writes about everything makes them have no actual genre, but it also is what makes them so lovable. Love the new songs guys! Keep writing your heart out about everything under the sun...

I agree, if NTB put themselves into one "box", how many people would be willing to listen, but by opening up other themes, more people will also discover the meanings behind many of their songs. Keep up the GREAT music! Love you guys!
Outsiders is a reflection on being a Christian.
Not me constantly listening to this and two other songs for the past two years 💀 there’s songs that you think are your favorite until you blare them for hours on end and then they get annoying, but there are those that you can listen to for days, weeks, months, and they never get annoying, they just keep getting better

Yup. I seen them the last 4 times in Houston and once in Nashville Bridgestone Arena and they brought out Carrie Underwood - that was, and I think their best concert ever.

This band is still very up and coming. They are finding theirselves and obviously gaining more success through music like this...positive music. Just because they are Christian, doesnt mean they should revolve around making religious music, that would wreck them in all honesty and it wouldnt gain them many fans other than a portion of people who love music about God and Jesus.
I enjoy their new music as it is positive, meaningful and is modern. Hoping they keep it up. Not hating on their other music, but why should they revolve around strictly religious music when songs like this attract more people?
It annoys me that there are so many religious people giving then hate for not writing about God....they obviously are looking for a larger fan base and its working. Why not listen to their older religious songs rather than expect only more of them?

People need to get it in their heads that they were never a "christian band" of course since they are christians some of that has bleed into their music multiple times either by specifically mentioning God like "Multiplied" or having it be subtle like "Something Beautiful". Either way their music has always had a positive message. They are artists and artists write about what is going on in their life past or current. I think people need to appreciate them for what they are. Yes their sound is changing, but maybe it is because they are changing. And honestly as an artist at the end of the day as long as you are happy with what you are making then that is all that matters. I could ramble more honestly. Like to be honest I would love at least one "christian" song but I still have their old albums I can listen to. No need for repeats. They want to keep growing. And yes it is taking time to get used to the new sound but they have been my one and only favorite band for years so I ain't about to drop them now. They are amazing people.
