That show didn't get as mainstream as The Cosby Show did.

I love this list. As a woman who has a deeper raspier voice. I am self-conscious of my voice. Especially being mistaken for a man or transgender woman over the phone and in person many times in the past. It's good to see that these women didn't let their unique voices stop them. I have PCOS and it affected my voice during puberty. I didn't realize until my 29th birthday two years ago how deep my voice was. My grandmother called me for my birthday and I put her on speaker and I heard my own voice for the first time in years. When I talk I sound different in my own ears.

I know what it's like to have a distinct voice. Let me tell you a story...
When I was little, I visited one of my uncles. He had some friends over, and he introduced me to them. Struggling to be social, I could only say "Hello" in a low voice. Afterwards, I went home (conveniently next door).
Years later, my uncle tells me about that day. After I had left, his friends asked him, "Does she always talk like that?" He told them that in any foreign country, it would take anyone else at least a couple of weeks to pick up the accent. I, however, only need one day.
