    The last time you told me I was wrong (in the BDM Guild in May 2020) it changed my career path to something so successful I couldn't have imagined it. You can tell me I'm wrong anytime you want!

    Philip, I have been following your videos for some time, and I have learned a lot, but this video is really like a slap in the face making me wake up and face that I should better build my routine in favor of my product. Thank you master.

    Thanks for this! Learned a lot, I’m currently starting a new job as a Creative Content Coordinator for a team in Major League Soccer, and when I was on my own I would be very meticulous to detail with content but now I’m having to shift my strategy and be less nit-picky being a part of a professional soccer team.

      @@PhilipVanDusen Haha, thank you, Philip 😁I come from a long line of Tarantulas 🥸But in all seriousness, thank you for this nugget... the timing was perfect and the wake up call we sometimes need. I'm currently designing a course platform and though I know better, found myself in the exact rut you mentioned.

    In a sense you’re right. Yet, all you’re doing is killing the reason for any creator to give a 💩 about their work. The client doesn’t have a clue any longer, the brand manager can’t do anything except with their competitors feeds and the marketplace is over it all. But it’s really sad to see someone who believes volume trumps art. Beyond disappointing.

    • @PhilipVanDusen
      @PhilipVanDusen  3 года назад

      Hey Luke - thanks for your comment. I didn't say that volume trumps art. Nor did I say that creators should not give a sh*t about what they do. What I said was that for an audience to be aware of you on social media you have to show up frequently. It's about brand awareness - and that awareness - and audiences are built with frequency. If you want to focus on posting very infrequently and posting content of high value that takes significant effort to produce - by all means do so. But if people aren't watching for you/your brand regularly, the chances of them missing the post of that masterpiece - when you do post it - are greater. And that is even a greater shame don't you think?

    • @lukerabin5079
      @lukerabin5079 3 года назад

      @@PhilipVanDusen no. It’s not a shame. I just don’t need social media. My work is driven by commissions, it’s rarely ever self generated. I do have personal projects, but they’re rarely for public consumption. So, I guess the truth is, I just refer to not have to deal with a marketplace that doesn’t have taste or connoisseurship, and I’m fortunate in not having to.
