- Every design projects needs to have a design contract. If you want to be sure that you don’t run into trouble, have misunderstandings, or be left hold the (very expensive) ball after something goes wrong in a project - you have to have a terms and conditions contract or freelance design contract. In this video I share 10 things that your design project contract must have in order to protect you and your company from liability in the unlikely event of a problem or disagreement with our client.

What if there was no contract when the project started just by word of mouth. The it is decided to cancel the project?
is it applicable in architectural design too??
For architectural design engagements - yes, but I am sure there are myriad more contact nuances that address engineering and liability in a architectural design contract. Consult an attorney.
