I was a corrections officer for 30 years. During that time plenty of officers were stabbed by inmates. And of course, plenty more inmates were also stabbed by other inmates. But I have learned a lot from you. Luckily, I have never been injured on that job. I'm interested in learning from you because it appears our country is experiencing some problems with criminal ambushes. I want to be able to spot trouble or danger on the street. I appreciate your emphasis on being aware of your situation. I hope you help many people stay alive in our deteriorating society.

Finally, someone that understands how to use a blade effectively! Practical realistic knife fights are not like Hollywood movies, the knife is rarely ever seen, or held for prolonged standoffs. They are meant to be used as a one time deploy method, for multiple stabs, or a single throw. You display perfect examples of true blade tactics. Also, I agree with your backup system of a second push dagger, very rare to see. And your cross draw makes sense for that blade. Only way to get that out of your hand is to ask politely! Overall, great performance! I'm glad someone understands real tactics, and is teaching to better our awareness and response to our environment, so many people are led like dumb sheep, and half the time asleep to what is going on around them. We have gotten dangerously lazy and ignorant as a society! Comfortable with our luxuries, we take life for granted.

You make some very good points and lots of common sense tactics, my only disagreement is with throwing your knife. If you throw away your weapon and your opponent doesn't die or you can't run away fast enough you now have no weapon and your opponent does.

    • @TRIBE-13
      @TRIBE-13  Год назад +2

Thank your appreciation. Normally the intro part is a collage from various other videos and is cut from the context. I recommend to you if you want to understand better the concept, to watch other videos from my list that are touching this subject. Combat knife throwing can be used in exceptional situations. Combat knife throwing technique’s can be use in short distance from the target, for creating the time and space to deploy a secondary weapon, to evade or apply other tactics.
Why is happening in close distance?
Because is very hard to hit a target that has unpredictable movements from a big distance.
Combat Knife throwing is not spectacular, the goal is to be efficient.
The Hollywood industry was creating a false idea about combat knife throwing. Of course that is existing the probability that the knife throw that you perform in close range can kill the target by the main function is to incapacitated it and create the time and distance that you need to deploy the secondary weapon.
Tactical Combat System is using deadly force and is design for life or death situations in which you must protect your life, family or the ones around. A simple example: Paris few years ago, a terrorist enter in a church and begin to stab and kill the people. In this kind of situation you need to eliminate the target for saving the others.
The most important thing is to be able to identify a potential threat, than to be fast enough to deploy your weapon in time, and after to be precise in your strike( this is applying also in fire weapons) all this by moving from the x (danger zone).
The knife throwing is used only in exceptional situations, multiple attackers and ALWAYS only when you have a secondary weapon to not remain with empty hands. I also recommend to watch more recent videos because always the strategy and tactics of a good system must evolve. Best regards and stay safe!

New sub, nice content. I'm fortunate to have had an Arnis instructor who valued the traditional artform but taught it from a combatives mindset similar to how it was before the artform was developed to disguise training during occupation. It was also mixed with various other martial forms to have a well rounded combat system where the goal was to end the fight. Movement was another emphasis, not just getting off the oppoments centerline but subtley positioning offline in normal life (partnof situational awareness) should something happen to give a tad more time to help offset your own OODA loop. One thing I'd add to your mention of using your thumb inline with the blade for some strikes is the biomechanics of how our brains are wired to naturally know where our fingertips are pointing, which allows for greater accuracy in strikes like you said using that method (similar to how training pistol reloads using your index finger pointing to the top front of the magazine increases success while not looking and especially under stress).
I'll be looking for the other vids in this series to watch next. 👍

Hey bud, nice video. I see your channel has a lot of potential.
A tip to help you out, you can use time chapters in the description to create easy to access video chapter in the video.
    e.g.
    00:00-00:45 introduction
    00:46 - 01:35 Safety pointers
    01:35 - 01:55 Basooka techiqnues.
This really helps break longer videos into easy-to-navigate sections for your viewers. It can be done just by editing to the description as above even with videos you have already posted
    Keep up the good work👍💪.

It's like in martial arts - even if some repeated exercises initally seem like a waste of time they are building "muscle memory" (like in "Karate Kd" : put the jacket on, put it off...) so in real situation you're reacting almost wihout thinking
