The Libre Knife Fighting System is a brutal and aggressive form of knife combatives that has established over seventy training groups in seventeen countries. Developed with current real-world endemics in mind, and refined with feedback from practitioner's actual bladed altercations, the Libre Knife Fighting System has evolved into one of the most unique and effective knife-based systems in existence.
Founded in 2004, the Libre Knife Fighting System was developed for modern-day threats. This methodology was specifically designed to be utilized in conjunction with the smaller fixed-blades and folding knives that are commonly carried in today's society. The revolutionary new Libre Knife Fighting System "Conceptu" concept-based training method also makes the Libre Knife Flighting approach easily transferrable to improvised weapons.
Simple to learn, intuitive, adaptable, and immediately applicable, the Libre Knife Fighting System has been trained by military, law enforcement, private security professionals, protection teams, and special forces throughtout the United States, Mexico, South East Asia, and Europe. With a global network of instructors and training groups, a catalog of books, DVDs, and digital downloads, as well as the Libre Knife Fighting Guild Initiation Package, this devastating system can now be trained anywhere. I am so happy y'all updated. There needs to be an update to the Website to order the learning packages.
You know, I've been following Libre since it was just a regular blog, and it is great to be witnessing its development. Very well done video!
Absolutely amazing! I've trained in filo martial arts for over 20 years. This is mind blowing. I'm also a student under Ray Floro and he has the reverse grip edged inward.
I was introduced to your content by a former student and I initially dismissed it as “lazy kali”. I have been following since for about 4 years and have to the conclusion that I was mistaken. This is a culmination of your many years of training in fma and putting it into a very real, comprehensive application. Well done and congratulations on your success, Scott.
Great content as always Scott! Appreciate you taking the time to share the longer videos. Thank you!
Nice work, I trained in Atienza, and taught Sayoc kali, we do low-light training, I have to say low light training saved my life
when I experienced an edged weapon encounter when I was dancing in a Salsa club in DC, the guy had a broken long stem glass.
I was able to close the distance and mentally disarmed him, he realized that I wasn't going for his hand feints. I came out of the
situation unscathed.
I really enjoyed this Scott! There is a lot in this video.
Hell yeah, always good when there’s new Libre stuff on yt. Thanks Scott!
Great lesson. Really enjoyed this one.
Always appreciate the knowledge 🙏
The "two guys have a duel" mythical scenario.
Very Nice work Scott. Somehow you just do it with style and elegance.
Very well explained on the philosophy of range, targeting, not opening up one’s self within that range, etc 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This is a refreshing approach to knife defense/fighting. I’m looking forward to reviewing more of your content.
So glad to see this here
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
So very helpful. Thank you for the lesson. 👍🏼
Very helpful video brother. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻
Bro summoning snakes in parcel tongue. 🐍
I came here to say this 😂😂😂
Oh, hey Scott. Thanks for this.
Nice, well thought out tactics!
Merci top vidéos et explications
Outstanding
Nice 👌, thank you
This is an incredible video, ty for sharing🙏🙏⚔⚔🥋🥋🤝🤝💯💯
An excellent overview of the system. It's remarkable to the the refinements made over the years and how Libre has never fallen into the trap of becoming static and unresponsive to the needs of those seeking these skills.
Thanks
I feel like you need a bob. That poor guy😂
awesome, thanks for everything you do Scott!💀🔪🖤🌪️
Interesting.
Seems like Filipino Kali
Good eye. Scott has trained extensively in FMA systems which led to his method.
He started out in the FMA, and like many FMA Practitioner, he created his own streamlined system.
Hi I am krav maga practitioner and came this year to tolpar and libre fighting to improve. libre is based on intuitive and adaptable drills, which philosophy is close to km. Now, km is defense only mainly (unless you go the military way). libre seems more as a preventing system by acting first. also my understanding is libre is using arms at defense time without blocking opponent. my question is : is there a way to connect the dots between the two disciplines? thx
Do you offer live training events to learn Libre Fighting?
Been studying y'all's system but instead of using a pikal I use a push dagger
lol this guy sounds like a water hose “shh shh shhhhhh shhh shh”
So damn fast!
And seminars or schools
anywhere in Texas?
Obviously you don't want to be this close to your attacker but if so you need to develop that speed and timing. Space gives you time if you have long range skills. Develop both then you have opptons.
If you really want us to see and understand what motions you are using, S-L-O-W.....Y-O-U-R.....M-O-T-I-O-N-S.....D-O-W-N. Your speed is impressive in relationship to your attack initiative, but it sucks for your demonstration purposes.
Understood. This one wasn’t meant to be an instructional so much as a demonstration of what Libre Fighting is when it all comes together. For instructional content I post up videos daily on IG that show techniques and principles being demonstrated full speed then broken down step-by-step.
🙌🏽
I have long thought of getting your course but it always seem time of instruction is low compared to cost of DVDs, and you are giving much for free here. I'd rather longer DVDs than fancy packaging. Not discounting me buying the course, but exchange rate is currently high as a Canuck.
And everything is always sold out when I look at the site.
🗡️👍🔥
What about the homie with a gun?
How much Piper knife is infused into your system good sir?
Piper knife?
I think more than just a bit. I'm South African. We excel at underhand. Blade toward the body. It's brutal to see in real life.
less than you may think.
Покруче Сигала будет 😊😊😊
Thrusting end it quickly, slashing doesnt.
Óculos de proteção para treino com facas.
Люди учатся не защищаться, а убивать.
After YEARS of training w brutal resistance,,, different scenario,,,surface & element conditions,,, practicing after a grueling work out session & being physically drained,,,in light & heavy clothing,,, you'd be surprised what works & what doesn't. Most,,,not all schools are teaching fantasy & make believe & setting their students up for a visit to the hospital or morgue. The realities of knife engagement & all types of violence must be completely & fully accepted into your heart,,,w the the conviction you are going to meet violence w a stronger & greater violence. Half commitment is no commitment & ends in defeat. You have to instantly turn on that Murder Mode switch,,,if that reality ever stares you in the face. Some people cannot seem to grasp or accept that,,,& settle for a fairy tale.
Knives are scary as shit. I’ve never personally had one used on me but I’ve seen firsthand one used on a friend and people fully don’t get it.
He was stabbed 11 times with a five inch blade during a fight when he was standing up for his girlfriend after some scumbag made crazy comments about her.
He won the fight. Nobody even knew a knife was involved til after. Then he slumped over on a car bleeding like shit.
If you have a knife as I do often to use as a tool, don’t pull that shit unless you are going to be ready to maim and kill. I use knives as a woodworker and they’re not nice as weapons. Effective but awful. If you’re not ready to gush somebody out don’t bother.
For me i don’t even think of them as weapons because I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t use it due to no training in that situation. I wouldn’t even pull my knives unless I felt like if I don’t I’m for sure gonna die. Otherwise I’ll try to just fight it out rather than bring that element in.
@@keircampbell9374 When I was young my Old Man told me when he gave me my first knife,,,"" Son this isn't a toy,,,this comes w responsibility. "" "" Don't flash it,,,EVER!!! "" Then as I was older he said "" What's the most dangerous knife in the world ? "" I said a machete. "" "" Nope "" was his response. It went on & on before he said to me. "" Son,,,it's the one you don't see coming. "" That resonated deep. He then says "" When you pull it,,,you use it. "" But when you use it,,,end it . "" "" Never let it fall from your hand. "" "" You had better be willing to give & take,,,& remember everything or nothing. "" Those words stuck w me. Yes it's a brutal,,,harsh,,, humbling,,, unpredictable,,,scary & permanent reality. I don't believe anybody really wants that reality check,,,but there are some people out there who's willing to walk that gauntlet & do whatever is necessary to survive. I hope you never do,,,but if it's the case my friend,,,trade a cut for a kill. It's better tried by twelve than carried by six. 🙏
@@SOG-xb4qh yup. Scumbag stabbed my friend and was wrong but he proved it. He was losing a fight, snuck the blade out and almost killed my buddy
Obviously your father’s talking about far more honourable behaviour than that, but the combat tactic applied worked frighteningly well.
@@keircampbell9374 My Father lived that life & I've had a few experience's myself. But in Truth,,, there's no Honor in the streets these days only reality. Violence can only be overcome by a stronger and greater violence.
Help me out…. why in the world is your off hand always coming back to the upper portion of your strong arm? Like, what the f*
it helps to stop the forward momentum if the strike to allow for a faster retraction while covering the heart an lungs to protect them from a possible counter. This also elevated the left shoulder to help protect the left carotid artery. As we all know, striking is also when you are most vulnerable to being hit. This movement allows you to take the most dangerous counter shots on the shoulder and arm rather than the heart, lungs and neck - while minimizing the time you are exposed.
Thanks for taking the time to help me understand. Appreciate it.
Don't get a frontal posture, don't "present" your heart as a target. Put your left foot back. Like this your heart will be less reachable and if you're right-handed, you'll have a distance advantage. One stone two birds.
Looks like a clone of James Keating's method.
Went to the website, but it's bunk. Everything is "sold out" and site doesn't seem to be managed. Too bad, you're loss.
In the process of getting things restocked now. We recently launched a new training package and its development and release took up a tremendous amount of time and energy. Now that the rush of that release is winding down we are starting to work on restocking everything else.
His site is good but you just hit at a bad time. He's a one man unit and can only do so much.
Completely theoretical
Then you probably never kill nobody in your life
It don't happen that way believe me
Why? Your channel has nothing to counter your argument???
I hope I never have to find out I thought the video was useful
and your costumer target is.......who?
We work with various military, special forces, law enforcement, and protection groups around the world. We also work with combatives practitioners, martial artists, FMA practitioners, and civilians (people living in dangerous places - including women who are at a size disadvantage to those who would prey on them.
thanks for the answer@@LibreFighting
Just found your channel, i love it 😅. It's something that I've always been interested in, thanks
