Ok, I love this guy 😆. This recipe looked so good, and his reactions at the end were prefect. I gotta start watching Cook's Country again. It's been a while. I want to make this recipe!
Wow!!! I’m so glad you posted this video. I’m an American expat living in France and nothing like this exists here. I’m used to go to our favorite Asian restaurant near Boston and get these all the time, and I miss them so much. Now I can make my own!
If you prep the zucchini first you can drain the zucchini with a bit of salt in a colander for about half an hour, squeeze it in a clean towel as the last step. as you are getting everything else ready, this way less liquid in the batter. Nice dish, will save to my library and make some soon. Thanks!!
and might I add ive been watching this show since the 90s (i think) and this is the FIRST time I've EVER seen a man of color featured. its about time! I LOVE diversity in America, its the real America. Good job C'sC!
In South Asia the flour used is of chickpeas. Other vegetables like sliced potatoes, onions, green chili, cauliflower florets are also added. It is a popular snacking item.
These will somewhat fill in for the pakoras I have been craving. I have the ingredients except for the seltzer water. Is there something I can add to the batter to help substitute for that?
Just cooked these and they were indeed delicious. I took the liberties with the veggies. I had sweet potato and fresh corn on hand so I use those and they were absolutely delicious. One downside of this is it really demands a lot of oil. I experimented with how much oil and they basically need to be as deep as they are in the video. Otherwise, they don’t crisp up. it was a little smoky, but it was delicious
Excellent tutorial - well presented. Where can we see more of this person? Question: Although no doubt delicious, frying negates the purpose of eating vegetables. Can these be made healthier by cooking them in an air fryer?
Hi, Asking ATK - how about almond flour. Have you tested this substitute yet? I’m trying to avoid APF now. I think I’ll try this but want to hear from the folks that try variation recipes 50+ times. I love this channel!
Just in case they don't answer you, they'd probably respond with their own gf flour recipe. They have a really good gf cookbook! Not sure if they've posted the recipe though. From someone who has been gf for years, I'd stay away from almond flour because it would be stodgy and have a sweet weird flavor. There's an asian brand of gf tempura that would probably work well (found at most grocery chains in the US).
The recipe for this is behind a pay wall! A very expensive pay wall. They are asking for $45.00 for 12 months for access to moblie websites for recipes, tips and such. I don't know about you but I'm NOT PAYING for any recipe that I can easily get for free off RUclips or the internet for free at any time of the day whenever I want. I'm disliking this video for putting the recipe behind a pay wall. I enjoyed the video and thought it was well done. But putting a common recipe behind a pay wall is just unnecessary.
I really enjoyed the presentation by Lawman. This recipe looks so delicious, can't wait to make my own. 😋
More from this gentleman, please. I like his style!

Those look great! I can’t wait to put my own spin on that recipe!
Like your teaching skills😊👏. Thank you for this recipe.
Fritters are most commonly used recipe of India. But in India we called it pakoda. And usually we cook these fritters with gram flour.
Great recipe ! Love the accompanying sauce ! 😊
Looks delicious! I love fried vegetables

Can’t wait to make these fritters. I love how SIMPLE it is.
Delicious! Thanks Lawman!
I am so trying this tonight!!! Yumm
Hello Mr. Johnson, great recipe!
Thanks for adding actual captions for the Deaf.
These will somewhat fill in for the pakoras I have been craving. I have the ingredients except for the seltzer water. Is there something I can add to the batter to help substitute for that?
That looks good. Thank you. Amen
Great tips. Look forward to more from Lawman.
That looks fantastic. Thanks for the upload.
They sound yummie!
Mouth watering! Will make!

Good job dude and tasty recipe could be used with many different sauces
Can you bake these instead of deep frying?
What a nice recipe! It's really amazing 😀
This looks delicious!
In India and Pakistan, we call these pakoda. They’re quite good.
Pakoda do you mean pakoras
Great recipe. 👍 😋
I love making fritters and will definitely try your batter. looks delicious!
Great information!!
Curious can one use any type of flour? Like almond or panko?
Thank you
Love this,great crispness and flavor!
This reminds me of the vegetable version of Korean yachaejoen
at the end he said "they are SO good!"
at the end I said "and you are SO cute!"
Yummy! 😋
Absolutely delicious!
These are delicious. Couldn't stop eating them.
Love it! Going to try this :) thank you for sharing again… new subscriber here 🥰😁
Omg these look awesome
Could this be done in an air fryer?
What's salsa that you added?
A bit over-fried, light golden brown looks more appealing! Truly Golden Brown, not Dark Brown though! 😁
Great idea ,too many veggies not being used in my fridge and they aren't that inexpensive anymore
YUM!!! Thanks!
ATK, LOOKS LIKE POTOTO LATKIES, but is many veggies, nice, I’ll have to try this. THANKS 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Fantastic!!!
Love it!!!!
Those would be great in a roast beef sandwich.

What’s the name of the liquid again?
The Indians have vegetable pakora recipes that you can make in the air fryer with fewer ingredients, fewer steps and a better tasting fritter.
Yes Yes yes.
Oh hell ya!
Looks great! It would be nice if recipes would note when Gluten Free flour can be substituted for AP flour.
What is Seltzer?
Carbonated water
unflavored bubbly water (it can come flavored but for this, obviously regular seltzer works best)
These would be great in a sandwich
Not my idea but these would be great with sour cream and applesauce on the side, ymmm!
If you add salt to the veg half an hour before cooking most of the moister comes out. You then squeeze and use them.
Of all the things that ATK makes that people go clamoring to, the black dude gets to make vegetable fritters. Are you kidding me??!! 😅😅😅😅😅
Please drain and leach the water from the zucchini
first. I agree with Rio DJeNIRO. Too much water will mess these fritters up.
They look burnt lol. I still can't wait to try them😋
👍
Like this!!!!!
In my country we call this "Bakwan" LOL
🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Yumfoo
tempura batter
Bakwan dari barat
In awhile crocodile.
Then look good, but I think you accidentally dropped the zero from 10 cloves of garlic.
This is simply called Veg Pakoda in India🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Is this the first non-white male featured ion America's Test Kitchen? #progress
It looks like he snuck in after hours to make s video he couldn’t get permission for! Great video
Let's talk like adults, "crisp vegetable fritters." What's wrong with that?

You add a raw garlic puree inside before you fry it, better you use the thick paper for the hot fritters
