Remember it well. I was a long shanks skinny teenager, trying to put on weight and muscle. This Bullworker helped to form peanut biceps and some chest tone, but just could not put on any weight. I became bored and impatient and gave the Bullworker away. Some 50 years later I will be gong back to it with the X5 which I also owned. I suppose you can say the Bullworker has been a part of my life and I am looking forward to being reunited with this old friend. Where did all them years go?. Now putting on weight is too easy and getting it off is more difficult.

I really enjoyed watching this. I am also obsessed with the Bullworker. Bought my first one when I was 17 and I’m 62 now and still using them. In fact, I’ve got an X5 supposedly in mint condition in the original packaging on its way for Friday delivery and I’m so excited! They have truly stood the test of time and have done more than anything else to keep me in shape.

Thanks a lot. I still have my Tensolator from the late 1960s, but lost the manual. I was able to recreate it from this video with my phone camera. I think these exercises cover the most muscle groups in an optimal manner, and it can be done very easily. When they make things more complicated, it is not necessarily an improvement.

regards from Germany - like your British humour.
You need the German BW3 the last of the classic and the biggest ever built in same brown colour as yours. The manual is in excellent condition with original workout pics of Gert F. Koelbel the German father of the Bullworker

I collect bullworkers and have the original bullworker 3 still from 1977. I also have another bullworker 3 with green handles(yes bullworker 3) and I have 2 bullworker 2s one is a earlier U.K. model with the light mint green handles and no u s copyright stamp. The other one is the bullworker 2 that was distributed to people's doorsteps in the u s via mail and they had darker green handles with the u s. patent stamped on handle. I also have a n.o.s. lady bullworker with all the literature and box.

That was my first Bullworker purchased in 1977 though I was doing pushups and chin ups at the time.
But that Bullworker gave me that total V shape body
And I was in my mid 20s at the time.
Immediately it worked on most of my body and gained a couple of inches of my chest and arms
Did the gals especially really noticed
So my dating young woman really went up
Thanks to Bullworker for all these gals.
And I use Bullworker nowadays cause I'm old but in great shape
Most people take me for a lot younger
The greatest portable gym machine ever invented

Brings back memories of the one I bought in the early 80s. I sold that one and ‘upgraded’ to the X5, which I later sold as I used weights, latterly body weight exercises.
I recently bought the Bow Basic, ( much to the bewilderment of my wife, who said I shouldn’t have sold the X5!)
Feeling good again after adopting this kind of routine, some of which I don’t think you can replicate in other ways.

How are you finding the bow basic?

    • @Sherlock2022
      @Sherlock2022 Год назад

@@LivingWellTV it seemed much stiffer when I first used it, ie, it was hard to compress at chest level. However, I am getting better at it, (assuming that the spring isn’t yielding more readily). As I have said on another of your videos, wrapping an ISO-Bow around one cable extends the range for such as bicep curls or the split squats. Thanks again.

I always use them for isotonic training, reps first ending with holds and fight the springs pressing as hard as absolutely possible, closing fully on some exercises but keep pressing as hard as possible.
    Works for me.

I have my father's bullworker and it's identical to this one. I always thought it was from the 80s. Now I see I was wrong. And it's in the blue travel case as well 😂

My dad bought me one of these when I was 15 in 1977. Still have it in its original box. Don’t have the literature but I do have the wall chart. Yes, I did fill in the 2 week challenge 😂 My dad also bought me some Spenby chest expanders. Still have those but lost a spring somewhere over the last 45 years.

I have been collecting bullworkers for years never found the women's bullworker or one made by Joe weider.the green handle one is the strongest not tried the new ones dave prouse also known as darth.vader. was the spokesman for the sales and advertising and also was on the courses..gert kobel the inventer. Was a German weight lifter not a gymnast as some said he was 6 ft 3 and 18 stone and from reports a bit of a bully.until he met 6 ft 7. 22 stone dave prouse who put him in his place I bought my first one in 1967.it cost nearly a weeks wages at the time but is still working fine they made things to last in the old days I also have a pair of sandow chest expander handles made in1900.stil use them with new springs not much info on gert kobel all though I saw his house in Spain years ago he made a few more exersisers in Germany but never seen them here keep the vids coming. I just bought a Woman's Bullworker on the US Ebay the other day. It came with the case and wall chart. I was on there today and there were two more but one of them had slack side cables so I'm sure the spring stop inside is broken. I also bought an early model brown handle classic that also had the case and wall chart.
Today I bought a X5 version on Ebay to try out as well.

Also a “Bullworker madman”owning three to date! (The one you have, an X5 & the original “Bow Classic” with just one spring.)
Oh & also an iso Bow!
This should interest you - that guy on the side of the box is Chris Gee who went on to win multiple bodybuilding championships & owned the gym which I used to train at.
He is still around - became a local policeman in Norwich & am told he now looks as if he has eaten all the pies! 😂😂

It's amazing how many born again bullworker users there are. I'm 59 and had one in the early 80s. I progressed to weight training for rugby and fitness. Recently I bought an old Bullworker at a church sale because rugby has left me with back and shoulder pain. They're still great for training and using the bw takes me back to my teens.

The weider model had hollow handles which made it better for curling the inventer gert kobel sold the company.after making about a million pounds from sales world wide it was based on a spring exersiser sold in the USA back in the 1920s.if I.remember Henry Cooper Barry mcguiggen Peter Shilton all advertised it the bullworker company held contests for the best improvement I sent my pic of and won but they would not use my pic because I had tatoos which were no no back in the 60s but I got another bullworker with a carrying case and a vest not sure if kobel is still alive must check I had a chart some where with the spring power of the different models will try and find it for you bob

These are the best models, the new ones are over priced, the bow is too small and the classic is cumbersome, the changing springs feature is a gimmick, definitely would stick with the original model, and the iso7x which is a knock off is pretty good and you can get a new in the box model for 20 bucks, I purchased a case of 4 years ago for 40 bucks and they are well made
