  • I've played both of the previous Daniel Mullins games, Pony Island & The Hex, but I hear Inscryption is considered the cream-of-the-crop content so far. I just can't wait to see what twisted evil spin has been incorporated into this card-battle like game. I've heard all these games take place within the same universe, so I'll be keeping an eye out for any story/lore connections I can find. I'm SUPER excited for this blind playthrough, and I hope you'll come along with me for the ride.
I really hope you have an awesome time, and if you do, it would be amazing if you'd consider subscribing.
    Thanks,
    Benjamight

Despite ending this ep where you ended last ep it still feels like you made so much progress. I really love the progression/learning system of the game. Even if you fail you'll learn something and come back even better prepared and skilled.
You struggling so much on that tile puzzle hurt so much lol. Hopefully you figure it out next ep because you were on the right track that it's depicting the battle board you just are looking at it the wrong way. I still am surprised how few people realize what the picture frame puzzle is. Here's a small hint. It bares a similarity to the tile puzzle.
You've now met the Stink Bug, very interesting.
Can't wait to see more of this playthrough. You are doing great so far and glad you are loving it so much.

Thanks Palintir - you're right, each episode I feel like I learn so much. New strategies, new abilities, new board game mechanics... there's so much here. I have recorded 1 more episode so far, which I'll be editing soon. I won't drop any spoilers as to what all happens, but it's a very exciting episode if you ask me. :-)

You can use squirrels as a living shield, it's sometimes better than to take the damage yourself.

Love this series so far! It's always so fun getting to see someone experience this game for the first time. Just a tip, I'm pretty sure if you scroll up on the mouse wheel while you're selecting cards and stuff, you can see your current deck. Can't wait to see the rest of the game!

Thank you GoblinReviews, appreciate the feedback & tip. I figure how to look at the deck by pushing 'up' on the keyboard in a future episode, but I didn't know about the wheel option... I'll be sure to remember that, thank you.

Watching you try to solve the tile puzzle was painful! You were so close solving it but were looking at it from the wrong angle!

Yes, death is definitely a part of this game. Although, all things considered, you made it very far on your first run. After finishing the whole game I replayed it to try beating it deathless, then I found out they put in a fail-safe incase you get too far too early. What the community has lovingly named the Eight Fucking Bears encounter, during boss fights it puts bears in every lane, and bears for his next move, so yes, 8 bears. Also should mention all the bears have the sigil that blocks flying creatures so it's very hard to cheese it. The way i did it was luckily having scissors and an OP card that could kill him in one turn in my hand.
Don't worry about making mistakes and stuff, it's part of the learning process, and the more you learn the more fun it becomes to break his game with cool strategies. One time i made a 7 health 7 damage death card that costed only 1 blood. If I may ask, where in the game are you at the moment? I know these come out ages earlier for members and in the schedule I think I saw it go straight up to part 9

I can't really say how far I am without dropping spoilers, but I'll let you know I've gotten WAY better at the game from where I am here. Solve many puzzles and had a really good time working my way through these encounters. :-)
Oh, and I finally pronounce Sigil correctly...lol.

@@BenjamightGaming I know there's a certain point that feels pretty jarring, like to the point where a few people I know quit the game outright because of it, not gonna spoil anything just in case but considering you're 9 parts in which is roughly like 9 hours of play time I assume you know what part I'm referring to. How do you like it? Incase you DID reach it already, that is...

    • @BenjamightGaming
      @BenjamightGaming  3 месяца назад +1

Hmmmmm... I'm not sure. I had a couple moments that were a bit challenging, but nothing that came close to making me quit - perhaps my tolerance for big pain-points has grown since Doom Eternal & Mirror's Edge...lol. ;-)

@@BenjamightGaming Wasn't a difficulty thing, just felt like a big change of pace, and y'know... People don't like change. Some also say it feels like a dip in quality compared to the rest of the game. I feel like its one of the most thought through parts though.

Ah, it's not a true Benjamight playthrough until the viewers are yelling at their screens as you overthink a puzzle 🤣 Let us simply say that the game has _already_ taught you all the rules you need to know.
During the Prospector fight, you made some more bad assumptions that almost proved your downfall, yet you prevailed once again!
There's at least one more object in the cabin that you keep moving past without paying attention to.

It's always fun to see someone slowly get better at the game, especially when they don't have a lot of experience with card games. But I would lie if I said I didn't have some moments where I would almost want to scream in disbelief at certain plays. ^^
I also love how, without fail, everyone I've watched so far seems to have way more problems than they should have with the very first of the board puzzles. Everyone either immensely overthinks it or just immediately starts to brute force all of them for no reason and it's quite hilarious.
Also wonder how many more episodes it'll take until you stop putting down your squirrels without using them for anything or when you'll stop drawing from your deck instead of from the squirrel pile when you have no squirrels in your hand at the moment. Was quite funny every time it happened.

@@BenjamightGaming that's good to hear. And even if not the game is so well designed it makes sure pretty much everyone is able to get through this sooner or later, which you already kinda picked up on in this episode.

The tile puzzle is supposed to represent the board . You kinda overthink it a lot .
Now that bones are added into the mix , battles are gonna get more interesting .
The death cards are a really cool aspect to the game . The original canonically died .
