After I beat the final room the first time all the pressure was gone and I managed to do it two times in a row twice after. Getting to the moonberry checkpoint took me another 10 final room completions. It's pretty nerve wracking even though it's simple jumps and dashes.
This room was so fun to learn and beat, I spent about 200-250 deaths working on getting here and then beating it in total. To those interested: Do not be afraid of this, it isn't impossible. There are checkpoints going from the start of the farewell checkpoint, the start of the vertical rocks part and then in the room with the death loop and the main room itself too, it is very doable and has great gameplay so I encourage you all to go for it, despite the current Steam clear rate being 0.3% it isn't really as bad as you may think. Good luck all!
Thanks for posting this. I would never be able to do this without assist so... Thanks. My skill ceiling was reached after I beat all the B-sides, and half the C-sides with all normal strawberries collected.
@@prometheus625 well, the dlc did get me to come back and play. Hell even made me get a few more rooms to the next check point so I only have 15? Left. And now I'm stuck on the adv. Movement tech in ch9. I just can't get wavedashing down.
I started Chapter 9 when it dropped after I had completed the first seven B-sides. I guess I'm not really a "hardcore" gamer (finishing the regular game and getting all the strawberries already felt like an accomplishment to me) , but I thought I was going to be able to just power through with enough persistance and patience, like I always did before in this game. But after playing for 14 hours, dying about 7000 times, and getting to maybe 70 % of the level, I just couldn't take it anymore and turned on assist mode for the first time and gave myself invincibility and infinite dashes. I just didn't give a shit anymore and wanted to see how the story played out.
You're correct; I was blind and only realised after watching my runthrough that those springs on the left existed. There's actually several ways to do that last bit (e.g. releasing the jellyfish in place), just don't resort to what I did.
@@ryougishiki_osu8118 I just checked it for myself using variants. Crap, you are correct! That is insane! I just don't know what happens if you die after the golden strawb dettaches.
Oh fuck this. I‘m gonna attempt the C-sides as long as they‘re short screens and I did everything else, but I‘m not even gonna try this one. Gotta know my limit man
the steam achievement was added for it before the update even came out, most likely people just did assist mode with invincibility and unlimited dashes
If you don’t get the moon berry before beating the chapter do you have to play all of chapter 9 (!!!) over again or can you start from the last screen?
I’m so angry, I was messing around in variant mode and I accidentally found the moon berry. Then my dumbass decided to collect it. Now I can’t experience this for myself...
Smh, granny only died once while you died over a thousand times
Multiply that by 45 for me.
Jordan Ang i died like 5000 times
I feel like I died trying to beat this, and you're telling me there was a secret ending demanding even more crazy glider shenanigans?!
*W O W*
The ending is the same either way.
seems like it isn't that much harder and yeah i beat it but I'm going for this ending now
I died over 3k times doing the regular ending. I died like 400 more times trying to do the moon berry

There is also a golden berry that requires you to one shot the entire chapter plus a secret room
This last screen made me feel sick
Wait, wait, wait... there's a respawn at the top of the giant CP room? I died mere 10 pixels away from a live saving checkpoint? DAMN

It’s now 4% on steam, still low, kinda feel like it could be higher but also feel like it shouldn’t be so high at the same time
I might try this when I beat it for my first time

YOU CAN DO THIS! ♥
I didn't even BEAT b side core don't feel bad
SteperOfTheLongEarth it sucks honestly but it’s still doable.

Oh, you beat chapter 9, good. Now do it backwards.
Died 1780 times, huh.
Still better than how I did...

@@NathanG5190 I had 4264 and it took me 11 hours lol
Prometheus Gaming congrats on the clear!!
7 hours 52 mins, 2630 deaths
I had 6 hours with 1766 deaths, i expected a lot more but this is good
The extra moonberry stuff is basically like the usual final room
not that hard, just pretty long
Thanks, used the vid for reference as to what exactly to do in some parts. BTW, Throwing the jellyfish left at 6:06 is easier.

Even tho I didn't play the ending, I already miss granny
I thought the actual final screen was tough
Compared to some of the other stuff, this wasn’t that hard
WOW
There’s Celeste DLC and nobody told me about it!
Was announced back in december and just came out on monday
So, this means you uninstalled Celeste and then didn't got the update automatically? Shame one you! 😉

I got the moon berry but *WHY WOULD I DIE AT **4:40** FOR THIS*
I remember how I died right after the moon berry and had to do it all again
I actually found this accidentally while exploring in assist mode
I just got the moon berry before completing the chapter normally and now the clear time and fewest death records don't exist in my journal.
I did the moon berry segment very differently. I wonder why that one screen requires you to suicide? Is that possible with golden strawberry even?
golden strawberry will detach you and fly to the exit then you can carry it and go on.
(btw there's a more hidden level for golden strawberry only

Madeline: trans icon
I was wondering what flag was next to the pride one!
It may also be referencing Matt as they came out as nonbinary around the time this DLC came out and nonbinary falls within the trans umbrella
