Good video. thanks for sharing. also good effort for the cripple. it happens and we must try hard to recover. agree with Riggs, odds are it was a cinn but bw do come through. Riggs is also right about calling at wister. less = more. i aspire to let the birds work and decoy too but also find myself pass-shooting more than i should. it's situational really and probably an art form (knowing if the bird will decoy or is simply buzzing by for a look). If you make it back to wister, i will say that pins are awesome decoy birds. multiple passes before they commit and awesome when they do. good luck in 22
Do you guy's get full plum cinnamon's? I hunt in east coast Fl and there is a couple or few that fly into our refuge, crazy. Needles to say i ordered some cinnamon decs lol.
@@GregorOutdoors some of the shots you’re taking are way to high you’re not letting the birds “work” your decoys to get a decoying shot it’s way more rewarding when birds do it the right way
Well, seeing that you are an Outdoor RUclips Channel making videos and wanting to get as many viewers as possible , i would think you would include a location to appeal to hunters that have been or are considering going to a particular Refuge. If you were in a secret honey hole , a private pond etc. naturally you would not give a location

Thank you! Yeah I got to experience the decoy at Kern for the Vet only hunt. Thank you for the words!
That was a cinnamon teal you lost. Not a whole lot of blue wing around here. Good hunt! Sometimes it better not to call as much on that refuge.
What blind was this? Going this weekend to Wister!!!

Haha yes for sure mostly late season from what I’ve experienced. I shot a few last year and have a hen/drake pair at the taxidermist right now!
@@GregorOutdoors Post a video showing your mounts when you get them please?

Yeah the last couple of hunts I’ve really been focusing on making sure the birds are coming into the decoys for closer shots! Appreciate it!!
Is that Wister
Yessir first time. The weather didn’t help much but it was a good time
WHAT REFUGE? WHY THE SECRECY ABOUT A PUBLIC REFUGE?
I wasn’t being secret about anything not sure what your referencing but all you gotta do is ask
