    Really appreciate your ethical approach to duck hunting. I started my 75th year hunting ducks yesterday. I'm 80 now so am not able to go more than 4 times a week now and all we have here are woodies and an occasional mallard but I still enjoy seeing and hearing them as much as I ever have. It's refreshing to know that there is at least one guy who does it right and respects the resource. Keep it up!

    Wow! Heck of a hunt, Matt. Fantastic shooting too.
    Thanks for staying true to your roots and not doing huge group hunts like most RUclipsrs. I think I speak for many that we love the emphasis you put on nature. Never change that mindset.

    I always watch your videos. The way you hunt is the way duck hunting should be. I was born and raised in arkansas. I have hunted them for more than sixty years. Ive seen some unbelievable hunts, and a damn lot of them. Still do today but the quality is going away. Many reasons. The weather, the mass number of hunters that are willing, have the time, the equipment, the time off and the money to watch the internet, get on on x and cover the duck area up. Not to mention, mud motors. I cant blame anyone, if i had had them when i was young, i would have used them also!! I have had many awesome hunts, by myself over the years. Treasure them, and i think you do. You really put out some good content. Thx

    That sound of the drake Mallard is music to my ears, its just to sad down here in Louisiana where I used to hunt you can not buy a Mallard duck there used to be thousands of birds in the Atchafalaya swamp where we hunted dang its hard to find a Wood duck any more, just don't know what happen down here,I guess the patterns changed and it just never got back right again I don't even buy a duck stamp any more not worth the time or the money,I truely miss the good ole days.Thanks for the video Matt it brings back memories of what it used to be like where we hunted at.

    • @NoslerPartition
      @NoslerPartition Месяц назад

      Yes!!! They have a great close range pattern and in my opinion you really can’t beat them for close range bird hunting. When you get out to range though they are not as good. However they are also extremely light and a dream to shoot, they point and come up great! I have a 20 gauge SBE 3, I’ve heard the 28 gauge version is great too, I’m a sub-gauge guy for life.

    • @HighPrairieSportsmen
      @HighPrairieSportsmen  Месяц назад +1

      Really depends on your hunting style. For close up, decoying setups, it works great. For pass shooting or longer shot scenarios, not so much. I'd also highly recommend using either bismuth or tungsten with it.
