Unfortunately with a fleece so heavy and dense it’s basically impossible to avoid nicking the skin accidentally. The skin will stretch as it’s being pulled by the matted fur, and you can’t see it.
Sweet little boy! I almost cried when he walked in his fresh stall after his haircut and he could see his new friends there cheering him on. He is just the sweetest boy! Thank God for his rescue!💙

@@NYSESTRA There have been several stories of sheep that got lost and had record-breaking fleeces by the time they were recaptured, so you probably did hear about a different sheep that had gotten lost! This one had also.

The wool he had on him could have killed him, how they treated him was very kind , the folds of his skin under that amount of wool is hard to shear without nicking him is near impossible. I have treated hundreds of flystruck sheep over the years, you want to talk pain and suffering look at that then.
Do you think a place that takes care of disabled sheep wouldn’t care for any wounds they inadvertently inflicted or any damaged being lost in the woods may have caused this creature?
@@danielmihajlica look at the beginning of the video - his wool is pulling severely on his neck. Some of the wounds can also be from fly strike (maggots in the wool that start to eat the flesh when they get to it), and other problems from wool that overgrown.

Poor guy! I can’t imagine how heavy all that wool must have been. And restrictive too! I’m really happy Baarack is comfortable and being cared for now.
Why didthey allow the wool to grow so much for viewing and then abusing the poor sheep with all those cuts and bruises can imagine the amount of cuts under the cloth cover

I’m glad that poor thing doesn’t have to carry all of that wool anymore. If they hadn’t rescued him, he may’ve collapsed one day. But, thank god he’s in good hands now. On a side note, he looks so stylish in the outfit he’s wearing at 2:37
So thankful he was rescued. It only took one horrible person to let this happen to him and it hurts my heart. What brings me so much joy and comfortable is seeing all of the people that stepped up to rescue him and give him the love and care he deserves!! There are some shit people in the world, but there are far many good ones.
Sometimes a horrible person is not at the bottom of an incident, no matter how you might like that to be the case. Everyone here is saying that this sheep strayed away from the flock and got lost.

Gates were opened everywhere to try to give the animals the best possible chance to survive, right now RSPCA & others are flying around shooting livestock that are trapped in areas without fresh water, for welfare reasons, but they won't get every single one of them, some will survive but be separated from their flocks & home & will be found many years from now, in conditions like this sheep in the video. No-one wants it, but what's your solution? Please tell the RSPCA right now, what they should be doing to prevent this, since you seem to think you have answers
Accidents and mistakes happen. A gate that the farmer thought was secure could’ve blown open in the wind. There could’ve been a hole in the fence that the people maintaining it didn’t see. Not every accident or mistake is the result of malice.
I thought the same. It’s probably staining, but the guy was really rough with the scissors. There’s several cuts and nicks on the areas that were visible.

My favorite part is when the other sheep came up to greet the poor sheep as it got there, especially the one in the walker. So sweet!

After getting all that heavy wool off, despite it giving her very red sores, she went about her day and ate. I'm glad the sheep was rescued
The sores were from the wool being so heavy and tearing her skin not the clippers.

did you see any wounds? (the worst the shears do is a small nick and the oil in the sheeps bottom coat which is left on soothes any nicks it may get)

@@marieindia8116 lol that's just not very smart response. Whomever the horrid person was allowed them to get loose, which was a blessing for the animals. If they were unable to care for them they should have turned them over to someone who was able to
@@meowedith you don't get it do you! Gonna be lots of these in Australia in the coming years, due to repeated, serious flooding over most of the nation. Gates were opened everywhere to try to give the animals the best possible chance to survive, right now RSPCA & others are flying around shooting livestock that are trapped in areas without fresh water, for welfare reasons, but they won't get every single one of them, some will survive but be separated from their flocks & home & will be found many years from now, in conditions like this sheep in the video. No-one wants it, but what's your solution? Please tell the RSPCA right now, what they should be doing to prevent this, since you seem to think you have answers
Accidents and mistakes happen. A gate that the farmer thought was secure could’ve blown open in the wind. There could’ve been a hole in the fence that the people maintaining it didn’t see. Not every accident or mistake is the result of malice.

Am I the only one who thought the sheep had a gash near it's throat?
That sheep was so overgrown, ill say at least 5 yrs of growth. Sometimes the shearing will knick but not hurt.

I thought the same. It’s probably staining, but the guy was really rough with the scissors. There’s several cuts and nicks on the areas that were visible.
He had gashes all over him.
He did get cut off the throat you can clearly see the scab in the following shots.
