Those protestors saying people shouldn't visit Fiona are unaware of how people friendly sheep can be! Fiona is sweet, curious, and starved of affection. She needs visitors! The farm will manage it so she isn't overwhelmed and gets to just be a sheep with her new herd. ❤
Number one, they don’t actually know animals. Most farm animals are social, and don’t care whether they’re hanging out with a pig, a sheep, a cow, or even a human being. But maybe more importantly, if they’re trying to protect animals, and perhaps get them more humanely treated, and not eaten quite as often, then they should want the general public to have close contact with animals and keep the pressure on farms to treat them humanely. Anyway, nice job shearers!
it's not the ewes you've gotta worry about it's the rams had a particularly unruly one called Reuben that liked to climb into windows about a half story up from ground level and sitting on couches mafia style and ramming things.
They don’t care about Fiona. If they did, they would be concerned about the amount of hair that was growing in the issues that it was causing her because of the matting. They just wanted that opportunity to get attention.
Fiona’s temperament is exactly what needs to be passed on to future generations. Such a calm, trusting sheep. She knew instinctively that the men were there to help her. Cammie, great job on your 1st old school shearing! Fiona looks really good.

Clearing out sheds on a derelict small holding we bought, we found antuque hand shears, and also an iron push-along potato / seeding "pram", and an old Welsh oven (iron pot and lid). Seeing these old skills in use is great, and good to see Fiona getting in the groove too.

Aye them protesters would be away at lunch time , so busy to head off to plant trees , rewild urban areas , lift litter , help their neighbours in times of need ,do their bit to feed the world and make the world a better place , and all fueled by avocado ,pulses and coconut milk. Well done team , great job on the shearing.
Us to gooders in rural and remote Wales are mainly meat eaters, live stock owning, and organic vegetable growing. Yet we still make time to plant trees, tend "wild areas" on our own land, snd pick up tourist and sea rubbish on beaches. We are too busy to stage demos and drink soy latte (even if such was sold locally).

Sheep summer grazing sometimes get lost in the steep mountains of Norway's west coast. Farmers know all their animals however, so do search parties. Over the decades one or two sheep have been thought lost. Eighter from falling down, off cliffs, or killed by eagles... Fortunately these animals have been rescued in the end. Once by the aid of a helicopter, I think to remember. Leaving the eagles to feed on fish... Love from Oslo 😊❤
Cammy, you did such an amazing job shearing Fiona. Making sure she was comforted the whole time. She completely trusted you. Fantastic hand shear job & great to leave her in her undies - not naked! Cammie you are so gentle & caring & I love the way you talk to the sheep & explain what you’re doing. The rescue clip was great - my favourite bit was her nibbling at the grass through the hole in the bag on the way up! Beautiful temperament. Greetings from S Australia
Her feet do look really good despite their lack of care, but maybe because she was constantly on all those rocks? She may just have good feet too. Foot quality varies wildly by breed and genetics, same with goats.
Foot rot is caused by an infection. She would not have had access to it. Foot rot is only a big problem where there is poor management: it is controllable and can be irradiated. My brother made the mistake of buying a mob that had it. Had to work hard because he had not inspected the mob. This worried dad as he never had this problem in his merino flock.

She stood up and then, after two stumbles, she suddenly raised her head up, like she was feeling the wow of this sudden freedom. Almost 10 kilo's of wool off her back. Magnificent! This is actually worldnews worth watching.
Despite narrating for us, he keeps reassuring her.❤
I love the way Cammy always talks to his sheep!
Fiona is adorable. She ran after the shearing then stopped short as if to say “ how did I run? Where’s all that heavy weight, I feel fantastic”
So true! I noticed it after I read your comment
Something that really gets me about Fiona is her temperament, alone for years and dodging humans yet she's so calm and friendly! I wish her nothing but the best life from now on, no more overgrown wool and some friends to hang out with plus a lot of food in her belly!
It's as though some people think they'll live and die unnoticed by the world unless they can get attention by finding something stupid to fuss about. You did a good thing here. Thank you for helping her. 😊
Not enough superlatives to describe the team who rescued Fiona!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎊🎊🎊👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
She IS Absotively Majestic, Cam! You guys did a FANTABULOUS job rescuing her wooly little fanny and as a sheep owner/lover/immense, fan I am grateful!!! ❤🐑🇺🇸❤🐑🇺🇸❤
Her woolly little WHAT???!!

What a amazing story and I'm glad she's happy with companions in her new forever home
Die Geschichte hat mich tief berührt! Ich freue mich für das Schaf! Ich kann nicht verstehen, wie man Tier so verwahrlosen lassen kann !
That smile at the end and her calm demeanor throughout says it all 😊. Fiona was so happy to be rescued then relieved of nearly 10 lbs of matted, stinking, dirty wool. This guy did an amazing job in the matter of minutes while making sure Fiona was as comfortable as possible the entire time. Thank you, sir, for caring and putting her health and safety first. Anyone with the ability to comprehend things can see she is in the right place to live her best life here on out. People really should do their own thorough research before protesting things they don’t truly understand; and, don’t forget to fact check your sources.
Over 20lbs!
@@andrewallason4530 more like 200 lbs.
8.6 kilos is 19 lbs.
@@nancyfairbrother716 I think they meant the sheared wool, not her weight.
What an absolute sweetheart. She is so calm and trusting. Thank you all for rescuing and caring for her.
You did amazing job on this sheep. I’m sure she feels 1000 times better. Thanks for caring for the support animal in need. ♥️😂
So happy to see Fiona at her new home and with her wool trimmed. I really appreciate that you all took into consideration that she would need a layer of wool heading into the winter. She is lovely. I hope that her fleece can be salvaged, but it will be a huge job to get it cleaned and prepared for roving or spun into yarn. A huge thank you to everyone involved in getting her rescued and settled in at her new home. 🐑🐑🐑
Great job Cammy ,Fiona is so chilled out ,she trusts you because she knows you're trying to help her . She is such a majestic girl ❤️
I have never seen anyone be so gentle when shearing a sheep. God bless you.
Awww, she looks beautiful now❣️ She even paused for a few seconds once she walked, as if to think “Oooo, I feel so light now!” Did she just wink at the camera at the very end of the video?😮😁 She was so perfectly behaved throughout her whole shorn. I think it helped hearing your calming voice and she might’ve sensed that you were helping her. God bless all of you who rescued her!😇🙏🏼🐑
With the grass and availability of water she was not going to starve and eating grass can put weight on - gorged on grass but that fleece needed to come off.
Thank you Cammy and your mates for the ‘rescue’
😃😃🏴🏴❤️❤️👍 👍
Thanks for being so kind to Fiona, rescuing her and then shearing the heavy wool off.
How lucky is Fiona to have everyone looking out for her welfare, she seems to appreciate all the care she has had!❤️
I learned about Fiona from Graeme the Hoof GP and I'm really glad to see her get tidied up with a nice shearing -- she looks fluffy and lovely. Watching from Utah, USA.
likewise, but from Australia
Not sure if you saw, but Graeme was there for the shearing! That’s him in the Hoof GP hat. Looks like his boys came along for the ride.
Heartwarming story. She’s got a beautiful face and her temperament shines through! 💕
Que triste ver esse animal assim. Coitadinho😢
She was soft eyed from the moment you had her. What an incredible story and a talented team. ❤
What an awesome video. Thank you Cammy and all concerned in the rescue and ongoing and forever care of Fiona
Beautiful sheep! Glad she’s alright, thanks
how awesome it must feel for her to do something as simple as scratching that itch!❤️
that close up of the wool at ~6:00 was so beautiful. the textures are just magnificent.
I guarantee you this darlin is so thankful..thank you for helping her
She’s such a good girl oh my goodness. Her temperament is just like a calm puppy. I love her 😄
So what if it's not the best-looking shearing job. Every action & decision ever taken has always been about doing the very best for Fiona. Plus, going to Dalscone Farm to live with sheep friends has benefitted Fiona so much. She's such a lovely lass with an amazing temperament, especially for a sheep who has never been used to human contact.
Thanks again to everyone for rescuing Fiona & showing love & kindness towards her. Also, thank you for the updates on FB.❤😍
Wow Fiona baby you are lucky for such kind hearted men rescued. Your life is precious girl. You are safe and happy rest of your years
What a beautiful lassie she is! Amazing to see all that wool come off her Cammy! The rescue have done such a fantastic piece of work. Thank you all❤️🇦🇺🏴
Clearing out sheds on a derelict small holding we bought, we found antuque hand shears, and also an iron push-along potato / seeding "pram", and an old Welsh oven (iron pot and lid). Seeing these old skills in use is great, and good to see Fiona getting in the groove too.
Such a beautiful story, she is now safe and in good hands.
Fiona is precious. Bless the rescuers and the kind shearer.
I am so glad you where the one that got to shear Fiona. I could see that she really trusted you. & how happy Fiona was after you where done. I loved all you & your friends did for Her. I seen there Your friend Sandi Brock was talking about what you all did for her. & Sandi has said she would love to have her to. My vote was ether you or Sandi take her. But I know Fiona is in a great home. Please keep us up to date with Fiona. Thank you Cammy.
She was smiling at the end of the video. She's happy and I'm happy for her. Great job with rescuing her. ❤👏🏾🐑
Although her ‘hair’ cut wasn’t the prettiest it was the best way to do it, much better than the electric shears buzzing away and you were able to leave her with a coat for the cold weather. Great work by all those involved in her rescue and care ❤
Saw the rescue, and a few other vids and hoped we would get to see this. Love to see the manual shears. I cannot believe the protesters have turned up there as well - seriously FFS what do they hope to achieve? Go Cammy go. Doesn’t she look good now!,,and two friends all for herself!!!!!
You know, she was so good during the shearing that I have to think she *knew* in her sheep's brain, that something good was happening! The shearer was amazing with her; his calm demeanor no doubt was calming for her! Great job, to all!
She is so chill for not being around humans for years. So glad to see she is thriving.
You're a grand man Cammy, you and all the team have done a wonderful thing. I used to farm up in Cromarty nearly 50 years ago and I know what it's like getting sheep back up those cliffs 🐑🐑🐑
she does seem quite content. she was very calm while being sheared. so glad she now has friends and feels free enough not to look for a place to hide. you guys have taken great care of her and she really is adorable. 🐑🐑🐑🌷🌱🌷🌱
Thank you all for everything that you did for Fiona. She appeared to know what you were doing with the shearing and was happy to enjoy the pampering session
I’m glad that Fiona has been rescued and is back with other sheep. It’s reassuring to see every being, including one sheep, being cared for.
You are all good, kind men. You all handled her with gentle respect. Im thankful she went to your farm. Blessings on your heads..😊
She’s quite the adorable sheep! Congrats on her safe rescue and I’m glad you got that huge blanket off of her, what a relief it must have been for her
Bless your heart Cammy. The people that are protesting must be ignorant of the help and relief Fiona is getting. I believe she is holding so still because she knows you are helping her. Fiona is so pretty.
Who would want a herd animal isolated and weighed down by filthy matted fur? Yes,they are ignorant.
What a wonderful story! Good for you, Fiona! You've gone to the good life now. XXX
She’s a lovely girl, our Fiona. Thank you all so very much for helping her and rescuing her.
Well until the cameras had all gone. They don't care at all otherwise they would have done their research!
To true lat1419 ,me two I said all the above with my tongue firmly pressed upon my cheek ,as in a few hours I face the cold again to feed the world ,as apposed to the protestors who will not be doing any of what I said or anyway near of what u or I and countless others will do day in day out .keep safe and be proud of what you do .
What a magnificent lass .Head up, able to carry that ridiculous weight of wool about despite what must be real discomfort and who knows, probably pain too . Terribly hot in summer and so forth . Well done you people taking care of that burden for her❤
Very well done video as usual!!! She couldn’t be in a more perfect home with the Best people ever!!
Thanks for posting the shearing video. She looks like a million dollars. The resume team and the new home couldn't have been done better. Sorry protestors you don't look up to the job.
Protesters....
Ahh.....what do they know?!?
They're always griping about something.
Maybe they should have to do this kind of work for a little while.
That might shut 'em up!!!
So wonderful to see kind and gentle men, taking such good care of this adorable 'lass'....such a heartwarming story!
She has such a lovely temperament, and the most beautiful face...a real life Sheep Superstar!!!!!
Great job Cammy and everyone involved in her rescue. She seemed to know she needed the help of a shepherd(s). ❤️
Fiona has such a calm attitude and temprement to her. What a beautiful ewe. Well done Cammy, Graeme and crew....
I grew up on a farm with 200 sheep. Never realized anyone would let a sheep suffer like this. Poor thing was surely miserable. TY for saving her!
I have loved watching her journey to Dalscone Farm (my favorite farm) where I think she is more in love with Farmers, Pete, Ben and Conor than her mates Amy, Dozey and Curly Sue next door. You can actually see the love in her eyes when they come near her pen. Thank you to Graeme from the Hoof GP, whom I have been watching for a long time, as I saw the rescue through him. So much love from this Maine, USA girl. Did the man that wanted to do something with her wool get the ok?
Thank you for taking time and for leaving a short amount of wool left on her. I’m sure she feels liberated!
When Outsiders put their minds to do something they can do Anything.
Thank you all for giving her the life she deserves.
God bless you all💜
Fantastic hand shear job & great to leave her in her undies - not naked! Cammie you are so gentle & caring & I love the way you talk to the sheep & explain what you’re doing.
The rescue clip was great - my favourite bit was her nibbling at the grass through the hole in the bag on the way up! Beautiful temperament. Greetings from S Australia

As an Aussie, I'm busting to know how her hooves are!? Foot rot is such a huge problem in Australia. Fiona's feet look amazing from the sides
Her feet do look really good despite their lack of care, but maybe because she was constantly on all those rocks? She may just have good feet too. Foot quality varies wildly by breed and genetics, same with goats.
They also don't have to cut the tails off in the UK because of fly strike. (Do I have the right ailment?)
@@roslynpittoni5475 but most sheep farmers dock the tails. I think in the Netherlands it's forbidden, and fly strike a real issue.
@@roslynpittoni5475
Yes, you've got the ailment right! 😉
You are all so awesome. I can't stop crying
Look at that gorgeous girl🐑 I'm so happy she's safe now.
That was a fantastic job, you did with all that wool🌟
Did you weigh the wool?
Really good job everyone involved in Fiona's rescue and new life❣️
It's so sweet to see her treated gently and I am sure she LOVES having friends much more than having freedom. I can't believe how stocky she is! Well done.
Brilliant well done thank you on behalf of beautiful Fiona you are wonderful people.
Thank you so much for saving her and giving her a beautiful life.
I just LOVE the way the shearer handled and spoke to her!
Cammie is the best!
Fiona is a miracle sheep! You did a beautiful job shearing her. I think she’s a pretty girl. Good luck Fiona. Be well and be happy!! 🐑
You did such a good job on her even if it wasn’t your prettiest shearing. Great shearer, great sheep, great video! Thank you.
I don’t know anything about sheep but it’s amazing how calm she is. What a wonderful rescue! Love this❤️❤️
Wow! amazing story. Thank you for sharing and showing so much kindness to her.
Thank the Lord for you people. You saved her, she's such an intelligent girl. Bless you from Canada.
