You really have a love and a talent for shearing. The thought of working in the heat while handling wool and an animal just makes me think of sweat and itchiness. Glad I’m not a shearer!

Great job! That really looked like a workout! Poor girl! About a decade ago, three sheep were in a field that I drove by every day for 5 years. I never saw them shorn, they were out in all kinds of weather here in Nebraska. I called the sheriff's office to complain about the sheep every 6 months, but nothing was done. Their fleece was dragging on the ground, they could barely move, and you could barely see their legs! I took a video of them when they got close to the road fence one morning. I took that video to the Humane Society in the next county and the sheriff's office there, and FINALLY some action was taken. The next week they were gone. I always wondered how much fleece came off of them. Two years later I finally heard why they were in this condition, the old man who had them passed on and the living family members just abandoned them. I am glad this girl is going to see a second life somewhere.

I have started to love sheep so much since starting to learn more about them from watching you shear them. They're beautiful animals. Fergie is lovely. Please don't neglect her again. Have Katie work her magic every year. Xoxo Fergie
