Actually fell asleep watching this video prior to performing this job. Then, while utilizing it again while doing the part change, I fell asleep again. The music is the only part of this video that should have been different. Thank you for a thorough video.
Well I have and 2004 PT and my tensioner pulley bolt does not clear the frame to come out. SO NO GO ON THE YEARS it can be done on like this Claimed LOL. Would like to know what year you are working on but all good, not a 04. Ps, Wrench size 15mm.
I got lost it looked like you just removed the tensioner pulley then it showed tensioner and the pulley was out together on the ground! I guess I’ll figure out when I get under there
Could have made it a lot more informative without the guys hands in the way and ratchet flat wrenches to cut the time down. Give the wrench sizes and perhaps a top view but still very informative. thank you.
Do you know if it's possible to put the belt on wrong causing the a/c to not work and possibly ruin the steering pump? Had a pump replaced and it failed within a few miles and a/c no longer works.
When taking the tensioner off did you have to loosen any motor mounts or anything else of the sorts to get the wrench up on the top bolt of the tensioner
How the heck? My pulley bolt is long enough to hit the frame when almost unscrewed fully. I stuck with having to move the engine some for the bolt to clear the frame. 😖 Simple job becomes a hard one.
Same here 04, what did you end up doing? Allready tried to lift the trans side, still not enough room... I hate removing the center motormount (again) 😑

Great video. This was very helpful. My belt slipped off the tensioner once I installed it, but I replaced the tensioner and all was well!

Seriously ! skipped the one part I’m stuck with lol
Same here. I got the bolt loose but the assembly won’t budge.

Any idea what size wrench needed to release the tension on the belt? That kx
albert re it is a 15mm
@@thesauce807 I used metric 15mm, I'm not 100 , PTC has some standard sizes. The 15 has a little play.

this shows taking off the tensioner pully bolt only, not the tensioner itself...misleading

No we didn't. Thanks for watching!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. VIDEO WAS GREAT.
Thank you for watching!
What size wrench was used?

I wanted to see the belts and pulleys in action. That's Ok, I was just told that you should check the A/C compressor pulley for rotation movement.
Thank you God bless you
You are so welcome!
Thanks for the video and easy explanation.

Well...I did see an idler pulley on here once.....where was the tensioner?
On my 2002, the pulley bolt hits the side framing before full removal. How do you get the pulley off in this situation? Thanks.
Have you tried a thin profile ratcheting wrench?
No. The bolt runs straight in to the frame. Gary did you figure out how to do it? I'm running into the same problem.
try jacking up the transaxle in an effort to 'tilt' the bolt down under the frame rail
@@jeffsmithfpv did anyone solve this?
why the belt coming out of the pully con you tell me
