This brought my high school days back and this was one of my favorite cartoons to watch before I went to school and at night before I went to bed. Thanks for uploading
Me watching in 2024
Same here from Vantaa, Finland 🇫🇮 😹😺👍.
I'm 63 yrs old and still enjoying 😉 😌 😊
Me too! Been watching for 55 yrs
So am I...👍😃
So I'm watching it in 2030 you late who cares it sounds stupid 🤮
The Flintstones was on Prime Time and designed to be like the show The Honeymooners. It was NOT designed to be a Saturday morning kids show like in the 70s and 80s, hence the commercials where the characters use adult products and some of the more adult relatable themes.
It wasn't made for blacks neither 😮
These old episodes are gold !!!! Thank for sharing 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I really love watching the Flintstones cartoon.
Who doesn't love the Flintstones?
Oh my goodness Welch's jars that were cups.
I remember seeing a ton of these at yard sales in the 80s °~•.☆.•~°
Amazing that you had these old episodes 💕. Thank you for sharing
I watched this as kid. I was not the only child to do so. How did they get away with cigarettes and beer ads!?
Exactly!! I always watched the Flintstones when I was a kid. It's disturbing to see the cigarette and beer ads now. 😲 The Honeymooners was a show for aduts, not kids. It didn't appeal to me back then.
It wasn't a kids show initially.
I think the cartoon was meant to be for adults but mostly kids watched it
YABBA-DABBA-DOO 😹👍!

@@vickilanger1228 Hello 👋 ❤️
cutest family in cartoon world.
Awww i love the flintstones
me too. There are a bunch of cartoon channels in the tv package I have, one or two even show old cartoons - but not flintstones.
"Wilma! Wil-ma! C'mon Wilma open this door! WILMA!!"
This is classic entertainment! The Flintstones have been my second favorite cartoon since I was a kid. The Bugs Bunny/Road-Runner Show was my number one favorite. I used to love watching these as a kid. But even back in the early 70's when I was a kid they never showed these 🚬Winston🚬cigarette🚬 ads. I was lucky enough to receive a Flintstones📀DVD📀 set that has every single episode beginning to end. It's one of my favorite DVD's. I WISH that they'd release a complete set of the Bugs Bunny/Road-Runner/Porky🐷Pig, Tweety, Sylvester, Yosemite Sam, Elmer Fudd, Foghorn Leghorn, and the other Looney Tunes characters in a 100% complete set, as well as a Merry Melodies collection as well. We've tried to get every new 💿DVD💿 or 📀Blu-Ray📀 that they have released. These classic cartoons bring back so many wonderful childhood memories. 🌄🌄Saturday🌄Mornings🌄🌄 sitting in front of the 📺television📺, watching your favorites all morning long. It was such a great time to be a kid. Then at 10am came the Bugs Bunny/Road-Runner Show, and then came Professional Wrestling with the AWA's All-Star Wrestling show. Then Mom took over the 📺TV📺. Star Trek was next followed by Kung-Fu with David Carradine. Ah memories! Thank you for sharing these amazing clips with us. A really great group of cartoons! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I have a large collection of Warner Brothers,MGM and Hannah Barbara cartoons on DVD...from the 40s and early 50s,when studios used full animation.I know they have collections of the more recent offerings..actually,last time I was looking in a DVD store,I was surprised at the sheer number of TV series offered.Just keep looking, don't give up.
im a 1961 baby, flintstones were my favorite, but i dont remember the cigarette commercials and beer? I musta been blind but still it's my favorite
Elizabeth,
When ' The Flintstones ' first aired on September 30th, 1960, it was in primetime at 8: 30pm.* It was meant for adults watching not for children, hence the adult commercials throughout the program, until 1969. Thereafter, it was changed slightly for children to enjoy with proper children commercials for example toys and dolls, things like that. Plus a new time and date for watching.
*Children back then were usually in bed by 7pm.
the Busch clip was strictly an industry promotional film and was never aired on television. its a fun bit of flintstone cartoon history. thanks for posting this rare clip.
900lllll000
It was horrible.
Those were addicting commercials
Winston cigarettes? Busch Brew? Barney and Fred working at the same place? Totally new to me and I'm 60 yrs...😲🍺🚭
I see y they lost their jobs 🤣🤣🤣🤟🤟🤟🗽🗽🗽🌃🌃🌃🌉🌉🌉😵💫🤢🤮
Thanks for sharing!
❤❤😂😂 I miss watching these cartoons every day, awesome upload
The Flintstones smoking!! wow never thought I wld see that
I don't reckon it was right to advertise smoking on a kids cartoon commercial. Why couldn't they have just put it on a normal tv commercial made for adults? Were they trying to get kids of 7 or 8 to go out and buy them???? 😤🙄😒
@@outtherelivinginthepub1973 The tobacco industry targeted kids as late as the 2000s.
Damn this sucks how much corporate world targeted kids to their demise with all the tobacco promotion good grief
@theduke7385 True. You could smoke on airplanes, in hospitals, teachers kept an ashtray on their desk, it was definitely a different time.
American smoking 🚬 company big wigs back then and even now didn't care if people of ages to 10 or 11 actually smoked and got hooked!!
I'm not even a smoker and I'm craving a Winston cigarette!
Heehee same here. Subliminal messages 😃😅🤣
I'm gonna start smoking.
I am on edge of asthma i reather take the jam.
I remember watching the Flinstones as a kid in the early to mid 60’s as a kid, on Friday nights my brother and I would have special snacks and watch these shows when they were current, it was a big deal when Pebbles was born, I watched them as a teen in the 70’s when they were in syndication I don’t remember this pilot episode though and yeh cigarette commercials were all over until 1969 when they were taken off TV
I use to come home from school and the flintstones came on at 5 same as supper time lol. I think my favourite was when after Fred put the cat out for the night and then he put Fred out and then went in and shut the door on him then Tred hollers "Wilma!" hahaha.
You will make me cry now😢
1) This was the "demo reel" {with grease pencil marks on the film} that Joe Barbera shopped around to various Madison Avenue ad agencies (and potential sponsors) to sell interest in the series duirng the winter of 1960. The scene was later used- and partially reanimated- in "The Swimming Pool" {October 14, 1960}. ABC insisted on using a laugh track, because they considered "THE FLINTSTONES" a "sitcom".
2) The initial sponsors that Barbera found were Miles Laboratories [Alka-Seltzer, One-A-Day] and R.J. Reynolds [Winston]. After the first two seasons, other advertisers included Carnation Evaporated Milk (1962-'63), Keebler/Kitchen Rich cookies (1962-'63), Welch's Grape Jelly/Jam, Grape Juice and Welchade (1963-'66) and Skippy Peanut Butter (1963-'65).
2:35- *original* closing credits for "The Soft Touchables" {October 27, 1961}.
7:17- 1966 sales film, produced for Busch Beer's sales people, distributors, and executives only {it was screened at a special sales meeting, and *NEVER SHOWN* to the general public}. Gerald Mohr is the narrator [Edward Binns speaks for Busch in their commercials]; Alan Reed, Mel Blanc, John Stephenson and Gerry Johnson provide their familiar voices. However, Jean Vander Pyl was not available, so Gerry doubled as Betty *and* Wilma. Music by Ted Nichols.
29:48- 1971.
Barney is a punk for eating Fred's sandwich after popping his inner tube.
I told him not to, but he did it anyway hahaha! joking of course lol.
Brilliant love this 60 70 what a great cartoon
The flintstones was great. This, however is absolute shit.
Timeless cartoon ❤
I remember seeing a version of the Busch promo where the announcer talked about the "frequent beer drinker" and said that 80% of all beer was consumed by 20% of the population and that was the group they were targeting. In other words, the alcoholics.
That Busch promo video with the tear away can tab sure brought back memories. I cut my foot on one of those razor-sharp little things more than once as a kid.
Does anyone else remember the push button tops that first replaced the tear away tabs? Not really a button more like a nub that you would press to release the tab
This was a great video.
Promoting smoking and drinking in a kids cartoon. Must have been back in my days. Didn't seem odd then.
Seems there were minimal limits back then
It was a prime time program when it debuted in the early 60's, so it wasn't specifically marketed to children....but they sure as hell still knew kids would be watching!
The Flintstones was the first adult focused cartoon.
They targeted adults rather than children, it's just written the way that it is due to the sensibilities of the time period.
I remember when I watched The Flintstones Christmas when Fred was taken over Santa Claus's work and made me cry because of the animation, the beauty of how they made Christmas it was very enjoyable and I'll always remember that very emotional they made it so beautiful how Christmas should be The Flintstones were my favorite, still are! What memory of a childhood animation, and The Bugs Bunny Road Runner Daffy Duck hour where my favorites!
I wish they’d included those cigarette and beer plugs in syndication-I would’ve started smoking MUCH earlier!
Oh man , that Barney Rubble , what an actor !!
From the movie night shift
@@ronchase1673 Michael Keaton. 🤣
I loved to watch Flintstones since age 5 now I'm 30 still love Hannah Barbara cartoons I guess they are simple and enjoyable
Same here, and I JUST turned 34!
❤❤❤fred and pebbles eating Welch's grape jelly
Really cool !
Memories back with that b/w images 😢♥️
Thks for share
That pilot episode was actually called “The Flagstones” with Daws Butler as the voice of Fred Flagstone.
L love this cartoon 😊😊😊
I didn't remember that this cartoon show advertised Winston cigarettes. Maybe when I did seldom smoke, I chose Winston over other brands.
Fred smoking Winston's. Back ground music later used for " Bewitched" series. Flinstone theme song developed later. Fred and Barney teaching all the kids to drink "Busch" beer. Cool stuff.
episode starts @ 7.50
I am also loving Flintstones july 9 2024.
amazing - i had a mega laugh on this
Hey!
I have EVERY SINGLE EPISODE on DVD!
If my memory serves me correctly, I believe that they included these commercials, in the “Bonus Material” section on a couple of the discs.
As do I, I got them as an Xmas gift
@@iananttila There MIGHT be one difference between your set and mine though…
In 90s didn't understand much English but it was still entertaining to watch
Wow really cool thank you 4 the upload !!!!
Betty sounding like my Chatty Cathy.
Full episode promoting cigarettes smh 🤦🏽 it use to be one of my favorite toons but watching it now around the age of 32 years, watching it from a different state of mind and it’s sad how they were promoting things right before us and was building our minds back in the days. But is still one of my favorite and thanks For posting ❤
Bring back the good old days-what a pile of shit.
❤ yeah I agree, I'm 42 and I'm like whattt, but I did see that the bush beer wasn't played in the show itself, but in the commercials during the show. & some of the comments are saying the same thing so idk but I still love the Flintstones They were the back nd day family guy etc... They started that kinda cartoon for the whole family to watch not the Simpsons in the late 80's like I thought.... you learn something knew everyday.
Those were the days when you could watch cartoon advertisements . But now these days it's been removed from programming .
Woww! Busch actually tasted GOOD back then!
Alka seltzer 😅😂😅😂
Wilma-"Fred, what you been smokin'.?"
Back in the day ignorance having cartoons promoting alcohol and tobacco 😩 but complained when a kid was caught smoking or drinking. Rare episode? This was everyday kid's show!
Totally love The Flintstones ❤❤
How can pebbles be born already when it was a pilot and old commercials in 1959?? I don't think she or he was born until the 2nd aired season?
Only the pilot was from 1959. The commercials were from various years
Right. There was even a, name the baby contest, for when Pebbles was born.
The pilot is obviously a work print.
Watching 2024 in the front with my favorite I always watched it every day after school
@2:30 We used to have those glasses at my grandmothers house. I remember drinking out of them.
Why I believe this based on almost true events🥴🤦🏾♀️😂😂
I remember Fraser Thomas announcing the Flintstones coming on channel 9 WGN TV
I wish we could go back to 1967 BUSCH ADVERTISING!!
Fred and Barney looked like they were members of a different lodge in the Alka seltzer commercial.
The realest old school ever
😂
Hannah and Barbara almost got sued by Jackie Gleason because the idea of the Flintstones was taken from the Honeymooners show. But a wise associate told Gleason "do you want to be known as the one who butt-canned the Flintstones"? So Gleason decided against the lawsuit.
Yeah. When I was a kid we had the candy cigarettes while there pushing cigarettes on children in cartoons
Reminder Reminder lo the flintstones
Having been required to watch The Flintstones and not the Jetsons everyday at noon for as long as the show aired I can tell you this is not an example of the program content normally seen
Thank you °~•.☆.•~°
After the Flintstones the was an adult prime time cartoon called Wait til your Father Get,s Home way before the Simpsons, King Of the Hill ,and others.
watching till i fall aslp🧡
You know what I think about it feel like fred was like Jackie Gleason, I guess that was the inspiration for The Honeymooners, for The Flintstones!
Not the jab at NBC from ABC. 😂
the flintstones came on at dinner we all wacthed them remember when wilma got pregnant and they had a contest to name the baby and later betty and barney found a baby on there door step they named him bam bam because he had a club and alway went bam bam loved the flintstones where great even the commerciacs notice that is not williams voice i don't remember who took it over
Now that is the ending of the flintstones that I remember oh so well maybe if you see television network
Wow, los Winston que fuma papi son prehistóricos.
Fred and Barney never smoked during the episodes, they only did that during the commercials.
Although, I’ve seen some examples of Fred smoking the odd cigar…
i grew up with the Flintstones myself, cant remember the cigarette add , kids watched it,why advertise smoking to kids? I dont get it ?
The flintstones was a show for adults at the start of its life but after sometime it became a kids show and before 1970 there was no law on cigarette ads
The Flagstones! No Alan Reed yet!
I never get tired of this cartoon. But who broadcasts it anymore?
ME, TOO!!!❤❤❤😊😊😊
Ancient skool!! 😉🤟🤟🤟🗽🗽🗽🌃🌃🌃🌉🌉🌉😼💯💯💯🦴
How refreshing Fred and Barney find Busch is pretty creepy.
it's loaded with advertising
I'm sure I've seen this episode
Cigarettes in a cartoon gotta love the good old days
Wow they wore those cigarette commercials out
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Two words for Busch beer that is "brewed straight", Dylon Mulvaney
Fred as a bartender?That I can see!
si Los Picapiedra anuncian cigarrillos, quiere decir que fumar es bueno para los niños
I found this interesting enough, please consider changing your misleading headline.
Dabba-Yabba Oodv🍺🥴🤢🤮😵🍻🤣🤟🗽🌃🌉😵💫
They had Welchs grape in the stone ages
they way they made and barnyes everday items i think my favorate every day gadgsts were intercom , garbage disposial , lighter and the crane all very cool i still go around singing there theme song s.d.k. spelling don't kount
Drinking Bud Light, watching Steven Crowder crossdressing in his little comedy skits, admitting his Bi experience, berating his pregnant wife and then trying to make himself manlier by wearing a pistol bra is classic as Anheuser Busch.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
None of these are "Rare" btw. Were released on cheap videos back in the day.
Wow they really pushed the adds back then, seems like a half hour of adds
Lol ❤️
What accents or dialects do they use in this show?
