Im so glad they dropped the "we dont do that anymore" stale marriage dynamic. Bob and Linda are one of the greatest cartoon couples on tv
Yeahh the stale marriage dynamic is so overdone. It’s nice to see a married couple who are actually in love and supportive of each other. People act like getting married kills your spark. Bob and Linda remind me of me and my boyfriend in a lot of ways and I appreciate all the sweet moments.

They found a way to keep it realistic where there's downs and ups but now it's the opposite problem where everything's too positive and not an issue.
I love that they didn’t change Tina’s voice at all, it fits her so perfectly. Also I’m glad they have Bob a shirt.
Well, he has a tank top on but from the front (which are most of the shots in a show) he looks shirtless, so glad they changed it to a t-shirt.

Fact: Daniel was replaced by Tina, because the writers felt like he was too similar to Gene, and the crew also felt like the idea of 2 sons would not work too well, so that is why we now have Tina instead of Daniel.

Making Tina a girl was a very smart move. There's no animated character like her- a horny, socially awkward 13 year old autistic girl with a deep voice... Daniel just wouldn't be as good as Tina

Wouldn't it be interesting if they brought Daniel back for one episode? Tina could have a nightmare that she was a boy (Daniel) or maybe she met Daniel somewhere and they had a one0time romance. Or maybe just him as a random one line character.
Or a flashback episode about when Linda was pregnant, the doctor told them that it was a boy and they named the baby Daniel, bought all the clothes and toys for boy ( the episode could start with Tina discovering all the clothes and toys), but when Tina was born they were surprised ( in a good way), which would be a very wholesome scene at the end of the episode.
And think of all the pregnancy jokes would Linda crack!

@@ChristopherSobieniak Yeah, same here. That's why i watch Bob's Burgers. My childhood was more like the Belcher kids than any others ive seen. I have a 6 yr old nephew who shows much promise. i use my cool Auntie powers to stuff him full of all the creativity and silliness I can. Fingers crossed!

glad for a LOT of changes, but mainly, glad it's not just another show where the dad is a mean idiot and the wife stays with him for.....some reason.
That’s one reason I love this show more now than Family Guy and American Dad. You can only watch so many episodes revolving around Peter and Stan treating their wives like crap, having a realization at the end of how they take them for granted, making up…and doing it all again on the next episode. The wholesomeness and kookiness of this show is what keeps me hooked.
@@brandikins11it’s awesome seeing a character realize at the end of the episode that they’ve been taking their wife or partner for granted and that they learned a lesson, but it’s not that they’re bullying or treating their partner like crap, it’s simply that they were being selfish or not paying attention for a silly or selfish reason. It’s just a more realistic depiction of a relationship and it’s makes the show that much more endearing.
@@TemperVoid it’s funny I made this point just last week, because the newest episode of Family Guy revolves around Peter forgetting his anniversary. (This is what, like the fourth time now?) And in peril he saves himself but not Lois. It’s just been done so many times. The show really is dying…but I’m glad Bob’s is still going strong.

I haven't watched Bob's Burgers in a while, but if they ever bring back Daniel in some capacity, I think it ought to be a whole family of Belcher-opposites. Maybe even hint at the opposite family being cannibals since the show was originally going to be about a cannibal family.

Even though I know that Tina's voiced by a guy and therefore, so was Daniel, it's weird hearing a guy's voice come from Daniel.
I prefer the new version so much more. Bob doesn't seem to care about Linda, Tina has a witch's curse placed on her and so does Louise because she's too sane
This is word for word the pilot episode. The only difference is Daniel is Tina. And the animation is different. Everything else is exactly the same.

I'm glad they change Daniel to Tina. I was so glad to finally see a girl character that reminded me of me when i was a pervy awkward teenage girl, except less anxious and a little less perverted lol.
Yay! That's exactly how I feel. We've already seen the gross and creepy version of pubescent boys. They usually skip the messy, embarrassing part of being a girl and go straight into the miniskirt wearing, vapid, and sex seeking teen. Having Tina be a little "extra" makes me feel better about myself when remembering those years. Lol!

Both made by the same guy Loren Bouchard (but home movies was also co-created by Brendon Small who also created Metalocalypse) Loren Bouchard also made another amazing (but short lived) Adult Swim show called Lucy Daughter Of the Devil

There was an original concept even before this one, where Linda and bob were grinding up human meat and there’s a hand with a ring on it and Linda thinks it’s her anniversary gift. Pretty insane, esp compared to the final version.

Yeah, when Loren Bouchard originally pitched the concept, he wanted them to ve a family of cannibals, serving people burgers. The studio thought it was too grizzly. The pilot episode is a wink to that. Honestly, I like that original concept better.

The words may almost be the same, but there are subtle differences in the voices and the acting that gives it a more welcoming vibe.

Funfact, they were originally a cannibal family lol check out the earlier pilot concept! In the meat grinding scene linda is upset but finds a ring off a finger and assumes its an anniversary gift! The animation was also way creepier
Wow I’ve never enjoyed Tina more in my life. She’s a much better character. Gene is always on point. As well as Bob and Linda. But wow. Never knew about Daniel. I wonder if they’ve ever referenced him in any episodes as an Easter egg to this.
