The Bob's Burgers Movie | Official Short | Hulu
• The Bob's Burgers Movi...
My favorite part is that each of them has their own reasons to do the song. Tina loves talking about butts. Gene loves to perform in front of a crowd and louise loves to create chaos. This performance is the perfect combination of all three.
That’s a good point
Very good point
YES!!! That's my favorite part too! All the kids got to show their strengths and interests!
Yes
If you put it like that, their performance doesn’t felt forced.
Bob - “Ooh oh god.”
Linda - “Interesting”
I love how Linda always goes along with the kids crazy antics and finds it adorable/charming. They really get their wild side from her 😂
We all know Bob is a stiff when it comes to his children's shenanigans. They do go too far from time to time, but he wouldn't do anything that would oppress them in any way.
@@jefferyhanderson7849 Bob gets crazy sometimes too. He just tries harder to control his impulsiveness.

This short is actually very well animated, the team at Bento Box is very impressive!
It sort of looks like the same animation as the movie
@@Sadin15 because it is
@@thepincult2763 Yup! :)
It was supposed to be in the movie but the scene got cut so they decided to release it as a short
@@tamiamiracle382 It was actually supposed to be played before the movie (a little like a Pixar short) but it really confused test audiences so they cut it.
I'm crushed that they lost Dave Creek (the memorial at about 5:50). He was their lead character designer from the beginning, which represents an absolutely delightful, stunning body of work, along with the rest of his distinguished career. That treehouse illustration is a nod to his hobby of building exquisitely detailed little treehouses around Bonsai trees.
He would be proud to have worked on a show that had an amazing movie
May he rest in peace
Rest easy legend
Aw I didn’t know
His work lives on; many more generations can appreciate his genius.
The kids' dance routine was choreographed by Megan Mulally -- Aunt Gayle on the show and a top-level theater veteran, among other interesting stuf. Very impressive. Expressive but still believable for the kids to be able to pull off, and so charming.
Also married ron swanson
@@canadianmoth Lucky man
Given the wackiness of the dance, the in-universe explanation could very well be that Aunt Gayle helped them come up with the song and dance.
@@Spoot401 o i can see it
So bring in the cats ...
This show and cast are on a whole different level. It's a short only like 5 and half minutes long but it has all the heart and passion and effort of a full 22 minute episode and the new movie. I can honestly say I hope Bob's Burgers goes on for many more years.
M
@@SnargGloof I'll probably still watch it, TBH
Bobs Burgers is going on for higher than a 15th season
@@SnargGloof like The Simpsons
I mean it’s been going on for over 10 seasons and the humors still pretty good I remember first watching this at 13 haha
I like how the band kids are always there for Gene like here and in Topsy. Wish there were more interactions between them.
The band kids and Ms. Merkin. They got his back musically!
Considering the Belcher kids are responsible for almost all musical shenanigans in Wagstaff, I guess they are quiet close. LOL.
He loves musicals; they’re kindred spirits
It was great to see Henry Haber and Peter Pescadero get more shine
If these were my kids, I would be incredibly proud! They put in a lot of work and planning to pull off an amazing show, and stood up to authority at the same time.
If these were my kids, l would punish them!!😠
I'd be both happy and disappointed.
"That was a great performance. But next time pick something more appropriate."
same here haha, i would be very proud of them
@Michael Huggins why they made a master piece
@@Alex-602 yeah but they got detention for breaking the rules!
I love how Frond realized Louise had a master plan in motion the second something didn't work.
And something about teddy instantly realising the same thing totally killed me 💀
Something I really enjoyed with the animation style for this short and the movie is they did an amazing job capturing EVEN MORE CHARACTER with the smoother animation. Little head nods, shoulders, body language, even facial expressions. The voice actors have always done an incredible job getting across emotions for animated faces and bodies that didn't move very much but the movie really flushed these characters out in a really cool way. Louise's quick and decisive movements, Gene's expressive face and dancing, Tina's more stiff and awkward movements. A great example is actually at 4:45 when all 3 kids shout "MOVE BUTTS!" Louise jumps almost a foot in the air! Gene almost matches her at half a foot, both with their arms up, and Tina just kinds of bounces with her arm at her side, but they all jump to the same height. Teddy and Mr. Fronds movements are great indicators of character as well. Mr Frond is frantic and angry, Teddy is lumbering, nervous, but capable. Just really cool stuff!
Not relate, but for some reason the way the characters mové reminded me of The muppets, that made me very happy
I disagree with facial expressions, I felt strange when their eyes and mouth didn't really move the first half of the movie, (the second half is much better) the movement and choreography was great but their faces didn't really move much, 1000 yard stare feel
The only thing that threw me was Bob's sharing Linda's panic about missing the kids' show. Usually he is so negative about attending their events. Well, he is almost almost negative negative about his whole life.
That's what I love about it too, the kids all move in their own ways (5:03), Tina's awkwardness, Gene's performing energy and what I really love is Louise's dancing - it's sometimes easy to forget how young she actually is with all her complicated scheming but here her dancing is very much indicative of her age and I love that, it's a sweet energetic reminder that she's still a little kid at heart. And of course Gene's passion when he's in the spotlight is really shown
Teddy’s little hum and the way his face transitions from blank to a soft smile, SUPER in character for him, so cute
This actually bops! I already know how they made it. Gene wrote the score, Tina wrote the lyrics, and Louise was the producer.
My guess is Gene and Tina wrote the song and Louise teaches the choreography
Gene recruited the band kids, Louise got Teddy involved.
@@cartoonsvel8167and louise is responsible for teddy helping them out, and being able to keep mr fronds from ruining the performance
@@lonkbonk5859 true
This was a real passion project for Louise.
3:14 Look at how coordinated this is! This has to be most effort the Belcher kids have put into anything! Them dance in sync most of the time puts it over-the-top cause Tina's the most awkward of them and Louise has no rhythm, but _GENE_ is the one looking down to make sure his hips are moving correctly!
why is no one talking about Rudy's juggling routine? Taking a shot of the inhaler mid juggle is amazing
Edit: This is my most popular comment ever, 2.3k likes in 3 months. Thank you everyone.
I love his third-hit rush at the end. That's not just to cap off the act -- Albuterol will definitely do that to you. The usual two hits is generally enough to give me a jolt of tachycardia and agitation. He's going to be walking that third one off for about 20 minutes...
Also it’s a great idea to juggle them. He needs a hit from juggling that well.
Enjoy ☺️ that ☁️ Weather@_@ Breath EaZ -_-XoXoout
Love the little lean he does
Regular-sized Rudy is a true inspiration
i think my favorite part of this (and the show in general) is how distinct the belcher kids are from the other. they all run and dance completely differently. tina doesn't use her arms much, gene is full body grooving, and louise punches and jumps. and their run cycles, tina doesn't use her arms, gene is arching his back into it, and louise is charging forward with he head and arms leading. it would be so easy to animate them to be the same, and logical since it's supposed to be a dance they put together, but instead they all have their own way of doing things. it's such a sweet little detail to include their individuality into everything that they do. that carries though the movie, shorts, and the show as well and imo makes it stand out from others. LOVE this.
Yes omg I said the same thing during the Sunny Side Up Summer - when they're all crossing the street to go to school, their dancing is all different and I thought that was a BRILLIANT detail
Mr. Frond is so insufferable that it's so refreshing to see him unable to stop the kids from doing something fun and makes everyone happy.
And then he starts singing it, too 😆
I love the relationship of the Belcher siblings. The effort and time that went into this production- they did it because they like spending time with each other.
they also sing in such harmony

I wish this was the song they performed at the end of the movie, Gene was so anxious about it throughout the story and this would have felt more thematically appropriate than the song they did at the end. That was my only gripe with the movie, this is so upbeat and catchy and feels big, the ending of the movie feels sort of rushed. This would have been a way better ending scene
I definitely agree with your idea! It would be pretty cool if this was the song that for the end, although I do enjoy the movies credits music too!
I wish it started before the movie started, like a Pixar short!👍

The animators on the Bob's Burgers team have always delighted in animating the characters dancing, particularly the kids. So many end credit sequences have involved the kids dancing adorably.
But this - naturally, given the resources and the longer format - is their masterpiece. I fall in love with the Belcher kids all over again, every time I watch this. I'm up to about 10. I don't know how this only has ~10k views so far (one day after release).
Perfectly worded! The way they animate them dancing is so awkward and charming - seriously unmatched in how just purely joyful it looks ☺

I agree! The animation was so SMOOTH
According to the special features, the shot at 4:01 is CGI'd.

The people who created this are geniuses. So happy for Tina, love how Teddy protects the kids, love almost everything about this short!
4:04 That was a pretty big gambit the kids pulled off here, had the teacher simply stop chasing, they would not be able to return to the building.
4:07 Gene: GO,GO,GO,GO,GO!!! 🏃🏃♀️🏃♀️
The more i've watched and listened to this the more I realize this is a perfectly wrapped showcase of personalities for the fans!
The song involves 3 things:
Performance: Gene
Rebellion: Louise
Butts: Tina
Meanwhile the hardworking parents rush to make it to the talent show because they care for their kids, and Teddy is helping the kids cause while being slightly conflicted.
It really is a perfect showcase for dedicated fans. What a treat!

The movie was really good. Like a regular bob's burger season finale episode but longer. I don't know why it didn't sell well. It was rrrrreally freaking good.
Probably because of the pandemic. I personally would've gone if not for that.
@@Kentama it actually could be because it came out the same weekend as Top Gun Maverick. That is grossing so much, it still is in theaters
Because it was a cartoon. Animation gets no respect.
I love it that their mics have a chord. I dunno, it's cosy and nice. Also the piano player getting really into it and standing up. And their harmonies. I just love this. 12/10 would watch every 4 hours.
Most under rated, beloved family show ever!!!!!! ♥
They're so much fun to watch. They may have their disagreements and even little fights. But they always come together as a family and care about each other. Bob may not truly understand all of his family's eccentricities but he does try to learn about them and appreciate them in his own way. One of my favorites was when he knew the right name for one of Louise's toys.
3:52 It’s such a small touch, but the way Gene dances always cracks me up.
He was also looking at Mr.Frond and was about to chase them

I watched the movie 8 times and the short over 20 times
This show brings me so much joy. I wish it would never end. It was awesome watching these characters grow.
It'll also be really hard to go back to the regular style of animation, but nonetheless all content will be welcomed by us fans.
Can we take the time to appreciate how good and ridiculously fluid the animation is?
Best adult show movie ever sorry the Simpsons and South Park movie
4:25 You're welcome!

This is why I love Bobs Burgers. Even the shorts are so good it brought tears to my eyes. WE LOVE THIS SHOW AND ALL THE THE AMAZING CAST, CREW, AND FANS ❤️
That was a catchy good song. Surprisingly, I liked it
I love the dynamic of the Belcher kids! they are a team and they show it! Its still so refreshing to see sibling characters who actually like each other!
I love how Tina is smiling after being worried
I think the reason this video doesn't have more views is because of the thumbnail.

The animation of this movie is AMAZING
I didn't even know it was possible to fit that many frames into a second
I love how angry Mr. Frond gets throughout the song. But, it's his own fault for being so easily manipulated by the Belchers.
Indeed. Because I think he should the judge of the talent show who presses the red buzzer button.

How come the talent show wasn't in the movie?
Just noticed: "My feet need medicine / They need aFEETominphen." Brilliant.
This movie has the same thing Klaus does where some shots look EXACTLY like 3D animation work where in reality it's just REALLY GOOD 2D animation
I’m sure it’s a mixture of the two. The part where Louise tells everyone to get up certainly looks like 3d animation

Yep!
It absolutely crushed me that this movie was a flop. It was so amazing and deserved way better numbers than it got
It fits the theme of the show though. Bobs burgers is an under rated gem
Too much singing in the movie and you could kinda figure out early who the bad guy was gonna be. But it had the right amount of teddy (not over done) and the right amount of mort (which is none) and the plot could have been better. They kinda made Tina a one trick pony in the movie and gene really had no point in it and the subplot with bob was ok but kind of lackluster should have had a little more to it and. Definitely could have been funnier but not the worst movie.
absolutely love this. people talk about the kids (all awesome) and Bob & Linda (also awesome) but the teachers. Ms. LeBonz with her chip dipping game (great call back) and Ms. Merkin not wanting to be left out and jamming at the end on the piano are amazing details. love this show!!
I'm SO excited to watch the movie again! I saw it in the theater twice and now I'll probably watch it another 80 times, and I'm saying this as someone who doesn't really watch movies, Bob's is already my favorite show, so the Bob's movie is my favorite movie!
