I don't know why this movie gets so much hate. I loved it as a kid and it's still enjoyable watching this now.
practical effects rarely ever age poorly this movie is a testament to that
this movie was and is the best real life adaptation of a cartoon to be ever made..
It's crazy how well the ladies nailed the laugh!
This movie was so amazing as a kid and still looks great today. Disappointed Jetsons never got a movie like this though.
I'm sure there will be someday! I'm still waiting 4 a live action LAST UNICORN!
@@trevorblue4531 I respect your opinion and I think if they ever do a Jetsons Live Action Movie I think it should be directed by JJ Abrams in my opinion
4:26 the essays question was how would you expect a quart manager to spend most of his work time and Fred’s response was a game of tick Tac toe against himself that he lost lmfao!!
The fish taco always makes me chuckle 🤣 This movie is honestly amazing for the production and cast. Huge part of my childhood. Forgetting about cost, this had to be so much work to make the sets and props.
I was one of the last millennials. I’m glad I got to enjoy owning this movie on VHS.
I saw this movie live in drive-in in 1994, as a little 5-year-old boy with my mom. To call it a phenomenon was an understatement. I still remember the McDonalds Happy Meal toys - little cars with houses, to collect the entire village of Bedrock. They did an amazing job with this movie!
And Lion King’s phenomenon was in 2003 and still going strong
7:30 I'm pretty sure that dinosaur tail was visible in the VHS version.
may have been a fullscreen open matte version to avoid pan and scan, some films did that
vhs was 4:3 and this is 16:9 so they cut bottom and top to make this panoramic
That is so dumb. This is basically the ecquivalence of today's high-demand on IMAX-formatted releases.
@@CinemaRescored if IMAX had been used for movies back then all these spherical shot films could have been reformatted to full screen IMAX
Pretty sure the sound design of this film gave me ASMR as a kid. All the rock chiselling and moving.
Too bad there wasn't a the jetson's live action movie
It would have need a interesting movie to watch
@@Arvyn992I think if they did a Jetsons Live Action Movie I think it should be directed by JJ Abrams
@@jonmcinnis1645so basically star trek
@@krtlkid the only reason I think JJ Abrams should direct a Jetsons Live Action Movie is because JJ Abrams did both Star Trek and Star Wars that’s the reason why I think JJ Abrams should direct a Jetsons Live Action Movie
@@jonmcinnis1645 he should your right.Kinda like how peter jackson should do a live action legend of zelda
My dad acts so much like the real version of Fred Flintstone. God bless him.🙏
0:18 That fish taco tho 😂
I love the live action flinstone movies. The props and settings are just chef's kiss.
This must’ve been so much fun to film and make. These actors probably had so much fun
Unfortunately not, John Goodman did not want to be Fred
@@zrspangle that's a shame they could have made a couple sequels in the 90s instead they waited years and recast everyone
@@zrspangle How did he get the part if he didn't want it?
@@ThePrincessCH Spielberg wanted him, he didn't dislike the part but he didn't want to do it. He felt like he was bullied into the part of Fred instead of a different role
@@zrspangle He wanted a different role?
This movie is so underrated, i think if did well Steven Spielberg who was a executive producer, we could have a Jetsons movie
May not be the best movie but dammit the production of this movie was beyond crazy good. Love it
I couldn't appreciate this movie as a kid, so many little jokes went over my head 😂
Never noticed how well the guy was cast at 0:14
these got to be the best sets i've ever seen on a movie
I remember this scene I love the flinstones❤❤
I was 8 when this movie came out and I watched it at least 20 times when it was out on VHS. Truly the best times as a kid.
Holy shit I forgot about this movie, this brings back so many memories haha
