I drove one of these for a week as a loan car, it felt just like a $45k car to me. I used to be a big brand snob but this car changed my mind, the Chinese car companies will own most of the market within 10 years.

I've been living with MY21 Jolion, here is what I find
    1. People complain that they can't permanently turn off the monitoring camera in the new Jolion. I turned it off from the system, and it turned off permanently. You can use duck tape if you want if you use newer one. The new one use real dashboard buttons instead of capacitive touch, which is great.
    2. There is a shortcut to change several settings. Just swipe from the border of left screen to the right. You can turn on/off heated seat, driving mode, wireless charger (ultra only), and sound settings
    3. Changing the aircon is tricky. Just click any aircon-related button and the aircon setting will show up
    4. Changing gear is easy. You don't have to look at the dial. Turn it left for several clicks will go to "R". Turn it right will go to either "D" or "M". If you hit "M", turn it right one more time to get "D" or vice versa.
    5. Turbo lag is annoying. Just install the throttle controller, and it will cure it. Unfortunately, there is no cure for the dual-clutch confusion :(
    6. Fuel economy is 9l/100km urban-traffic, and 6.5 l/100km for freeway driving. On the average, I got around 8.8/100km when refuelling.
    7. The most annoying thing about this car is: no telescopic for MY21 and a capacitive touch panel. I agree that the keyless door handle is annoying as it's only available on the driver side. However, you can still open the boot since there is a button there.
    8. Overall, it is great value for money (at the time of purchase). There have been no issues so far after 3 years. I still use the original parts (including the tyre and battery). I will keep it longer. Will I consider this brand again? Yes, if they offer a PHEV.

Agree with you. I bought the Jolion Lux Launch Edition in May 2021. Covered 70K KMs already. Just changed a pair of tyres. Absolutely love the car.

I own a jolion lux 21 model and going from reverse to drive is simple a quick twist flick to the left puts it in reverse then a quick flick to the right puts it into drive ,works every time ,a salesman told me this trick as I complained to him what a pain the dial change was, and this solved it.

Hi! In Russia, Haval Jolion has an all-wheel drive configuration using haldex V. And thanks to this, it became the best-selling car with all-wheel drive. I have one myself. A cheap and unpretentious car with a lot of electronic bells and whistles. P.S. Translated via Google.

The Jolion for me is great. I like the adaptive cruise in my opinion better than the Toyota Corolla. Duck tape has fixed the monitor system. Has heaps of room, can even fit a single mattress in boot with seats down. Fuel usage only slightly more than a Toyota Corolla but way bigger and more fun to drive in my opinion.

If it had a torque converter auto it would be very compelling. As it stands, if you need cheap transport buy a 2 year old one cheap, keep it to the end of the warranty, rinse and repeat.

Use a hybrid and all these transmission issues go away including the fuel efficiency. With the DCT and Turbo engine, the car fuel efficiency depends a lot on the driver. In my experience, use the car on eco mode and you will see a low fuel usage

    • @pwrrpw319
      @pwrrpw319 25 дней назад

Yes bugger all DCT,CVT, & traditional Auto Transmissions, they all have there problems & sap energy from the engine, Honda's latest Hybrid has two Motor generators, one attached to the engine & one attached to a simple single gear ratio gear box which drives the front wheels, gets around 4L per 100k in the Civic no accessory drive belts, everything on the engine is electric, it runs in series and or sudo parallel hybrid mode, either way always running on electric drive only, so smooth & instant!, & waaaay less to go wrong!, all cars should be made this way, with the option of plug in & bigger battery!.

Have had a 2021 for a few months. Petrol eco is dire but other issues less so. You can adjust most if not all safety settings, you can access some via a swipe gesture from left side of screen, and you can lower indicator volume. The camera is a stand out. Turning circle not great, seats are ok but not great for tall folks, lots of cabin space and noise is no worse than my 2008 bmw. If I had the $ I’d buy a hybrid but right now not an option, but do I regret this car, no, it does what it claims, it’s not a rally car or a luxury and I’m all good with those being how it rolls.

Pony up a little bit more and get the Haval H6. GWM spent a lot more money on the H6 development especially the H6 Hybrid because it had to go against the Rav 4 Hybrid. It's a vastly better car for a little bit more.

Question for you and your followers.
While using cruise control the car decides to just to pull up for know reason at all. 4 limes this happened to me. NO other cars in sight. Just me and the road. And believe me it's frightening.
To over come this I just don't use cruise control...

While I see why you didn't like it, I do think the S grade had some merit from its independent rear suspension which IMO made it handle slightly better (despite being firmer), and the higher output engine was more efficient and faster.
In other words it should have been the base engine & suspension in this update.

I’ve read that there is a long wait on parts, perhaps that could be a topic in reviews, how good is the after buy service.

I dont mind the new front grille, not fully a fan of it(better than the new H6 who took Cadillacs DRLs) but hey. Overall while its a good car I wouldnt take over a S Cross, the boot while its the same capacity in litres the one in the Scross is way more useable as you get more height and width between the wheel wells. With that said Suzuki priced that car ridiculously high, but I digress. The new Jolion and a new to a good value proposition but with the same old niggles (no reach in the steering wheel and the poor fuel economy). one last thing, the Seltos is a better alternate to this as its in the same class, the Suzuki S Cross is also a good competitor as well.
