The Corvette was pretty Rare! That was a FRC (Fixed Roof Coupe) which shared the Body Style of the Z06 and had the Z51 Suspension and they weighed 80 Lbs less than the Targa Top Models. They were only Produced for the '99-'00 Model Years.

@@AutoAuctionRebuilds Really? Sweet! Think of the FRC Fixed Roof Coupe as the predecessor to the Corvette Grand Sport which has the same (Wide) Body Design of the Z06 but still retaining the Base Corvette's Engine.
It actually has an airbag hence why it’s has SRS on the steering wheel!
Mercedes was one of the first auto manufacturers to use airbags.
Yup, the S class had them from 81 on, afaik all 560 SL from 1986 on had it.
But that's a typical Randy - it very obviously says 'SRS' on the wheel but he doesn't get it.
To be fair, given the age of the car - the R107 debuted in 1971 - it's probably a confirmation bias issue.
Randy, my 80 year old Bigma (grandmother) who watches your videos, just said "Oh Lord, I hope that young man doesnt get too hot out there in that yard. I had the exact same model.... Ran great. The cluster would stop working do to a bad connection. That model Volvo was none for the cluster shutting down.
Drivers side airbag only on the Mercedes. They are also notorious for the odometer to stop working after awhile so I would'nt be surprised if the mileage is inaccurate.
Volvo gauge clusters from the 2000's always brake, its a common problem. Most of the time repairable. Besides that really reliable cars.

Yep the 560SL was in fact the first Mercedes to have a driver airbag as standard equipment as far as I know, it was optional on all other SLs

fyi Mercedes first used airbags in 1985
True for U.S. but for Europe the W116 had one as an option.

@@craigwoodhouse1674 I'd have to check this but I believe the U.S. cars all had standard driver's side airbags in 1986. Optional on some models in 1985.
There is a recall on the dashboard there is a short somewhere where it goes out. My Volvo have the same problem
Hi randy im a big fan but i found 2 cars for your son 1 is a honda accord 1991 wagon needs paint but in decent shape its at copart at Oklahoma city. And there is a 2009 toyota camry with 60k miles that camry is very clean and that one is at iaa Oklahoma city. But i think the honda is nicer it just brings alot of memories and they last 300k miles and more you should check it out and buy it if its good. And same with the camry its clean check them out they would be perfect for your channel and for your son🙂👍👍

That’s when there’s still an investigation ongoing. It’s to protect it from the elements. I don’t know if it’s the police or insurance investigating. Those cars cannot be touched by Randy.

I had that happen to me before and it was a totally different car but I know they had to take apart the steering wheel column to replace a sensor🙆♂️
On the silver Corvette it looked like the exhaust was misaligned. Couldn’t it have under carriage damage. 17:34

Pickup a Camelback wide mouth backpack water container, put some ice cubes in it and you should be golden for hours at up to 120*. Used to do in AZ with frequent soaking of my hat to keep my dome from overheating.

Being a Volvo I think the repair to the instrument cluster repair might cost more to repair then what you paid for the car.
Randy, the car wizard traded his "rebuilt title" Viper for a Scat Pack Charger.
A common problem with those Volvo instrument clusters - cold solder joint on the circuit board. Fix that and she's good as new.
You can also send an info to Mike on the Volvo as well

No it did not sell but they have not relisted it yet.
I’ve had that model Volvo same color too with the cluster issue the connections go bad and need re-soldered or just throw new cluster
I'll like volvo wagon. mismatched tires helps with rotation. column shift better than floor shift. gets hot in Missouri😂.

Love the XC70... Those gauge clusters do go bad. If you'll search on some forums you'll find out. If you can get it for a low price, I think it's def a good deal. Those 2.4t aren't the best btw..
Hello Randy. The 2902 Volvo V70 Station Wagon is a good looking car. The 1986 Mercedes 550 SL is a decent looking car even though it's got some front end damage.
My Volvo did the same thing.. it was the ignition switch
