The fiesta has a DPS6 trans. That is completely fine about it going into gear. The brake pedal makes it go into neutral. There is no torque converter. It uses a clutch pack. So, that is what it does.
Yeah there junk. I replace the clutch packs all the time at the dealership I work at. Got so good at doing them that I can do the fiesta and focus clutch packs in less then 2 hrs.
fords are known for slow transmissions. id go for it only if you go back and look under that fender. it was taken of for a reason and that could be why its totaled

I think the tensioner for the chain is the weakness for those cars. My 04 maxima is at 175K miles and pretty sure the timing chain is original. I don’t know what model years apply for the tensioner weakness but just putting that out there

I'm watching this a bit late but the Euro Van is a hot ticket truck. Big money for those who love them. YES, the top lifts up so that you can stand up inside it. Used as a camper style truck, I wish you had bid on that one!
That 2000 Maxima has a VQ30DE engine. I learned something new today... I am a Nissan guy and I thought I had a good grasp on the engines, but I had to look that one up. I didn't know they even made a 3.0L VQ engine... The VQ series are timing chain. The older VG series engines were timing belt.
for any viewer who doesn't know what stink bait is: Most stink bait needs a doughy substance to hold it together and keep it on your hook. If you're using something that's already soft and gooey -- such as chopped chicken livers, fish parts or melted cheese -- add flour, oats, crushed crackers or cereal until you achieve a dough-like consistency.
Randy, I don't know if they sell well in OKLAHOMA, but that VW Eurovan is a model MV Weekender with a pop-up top. Not many made and in demand by T4 enthusiasts. Do a search and you'll see what I mean. That one looks to be in pretty good condition. I'm not sure what the pop-up top fabric looks like. Maybe that's why the dealer couldn't sell it.
Gidday, You are my favourite youtuber. I have 5 episodes of Goonzquad, yet to be watched. None of yours. But I am a grumpy, 62 yr old fat man, beaten down by life. I can only take so much happy, youthful, optimistic, positive, before wanting to dry reach. Keep up the good work, and let us know how much that Silverado sold for. Gidday from Australia.
1:36:00 that VW Euro Van is like the Westfalia. Except no kitchen. And yes the top goes up and expands into another sleeper up top. Basically beginner's a tent on top of the car plus the conversion bed in the back so they usually sleep 4 to 6 people. Those vans sell TOP Dollar Right now because so many people want it for camping, and also got people who want to do the whole VanLife thing that's really popular right now. You can make more money in that car then any other car in this video. Especially the way that thing was running.
Man, there were a lot of cars to like in this one! I REALLY liked that Eurovan. That was very, very nice, I am pretty sure it is a camper van like the old Westfalia VW micro buses and there are a lot of people who live in their vans nowadays so I bet there is a great market for it. I also liked both of the MKZs that you showed the Fiesta and the Spark. The Focus might be worth a gamble, too. I can't wait to see what you end up buying!
I have always been interested in cars and your videos are awesome. I enjoy seeing your choices for fixers and carnage. I have a '17 Nissan Sentra which has a key as well. I hate this car; I bought it brand new, in Feb '17, with 12 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. Today it has 75,590 "on the clock". It was stolen, out of my driveway, 4 months after I got it, recovered 5 day and 625 miles later and $7,000 worth of damage; they did NOT total it! reason for not being deemed a loss because Georgia decided to change their law about thefts. Used to be if a vehicle was not recovered in 24 hrs, it'd be a total loss, then it was changed to 2 weeks, so I got screwed. Anyways, I love watching your vids...keep up the good work!👍👍
At last a Maxima, thanks Randy you lived up to your promises, a bit old but it's a start Luv to see a new one we don't get these models over here any more but great cars had two different generations of Maxima, my choice to you would be the Mazda 3 I don't think it's a car you can go wrong with and easy sellers
The fiesta and focus have a dry dual clutch transmission (automated manual) and thus do not have transmission fluid and the fiesta doesnt exactly go into gear like you'd except with a conventional fluid drive transmission. When you have your foot on the break and inching forward it's slipping the clutch I hope this helps
Thank you for your hard work mate great content as always that Porsche will be a good buy for the channel it will pull in the viewers. Great work man love the channel.
At 29 minutes surprised to see someone review a maxima , I got one recently for $300 cdn or just under 200usd good car that one has a 3.0v with timing chain
You can go 2 hours and I would still watch it I enjoy watching you go around with cars it gives me a lot of information so if I go buy a car I know what to look for and how to look for it so even if it was 3 hours I would watch it but I watch this one in different times of the day but I watched it a little bit of all day long thank you for the videos that you do make good day
You know I was watching you put the phone under the car and said “I can’t see what’s on the screen but maybe y’all can tell me” and I just wanted to let you know, I have an Apple Watch and you can do that with your phone to see the damage but just look at your wrist and your watch projects the picture back to you. Turbo...With drum brakes...Holy moly! I like the big Caddy. For us in the UK that is interesting..Even if you don't like it. Is this the series/chassis that dynamically has decent manners?
That Malibu frame rail at 22:34 - that's high strength steel - you can't straighten it. You have to replace the front half of the rail which goes back far enough on these that to do it properly requires the drivetrain to be removed. That adds about 10 hours of labor. Also the transmission computer is low and in the front and may have been damaged by the crash bar. Seen it on Malibu front hits.
I find it super interesting how you get excited about the stick Cruze (loved that interior too by the way), which we got in Europe normally. And then even the super mega epic cool and reliable T4 Transporter California (called EuroVan in the USA I guess) in this mega nice shape with the top opening up and with bed in the opened top, tables and everything. Man I wish you knew more, but thanks a lot for even including it, would love to come across one in this condition in Europe to be honest, would just live in it to save money renting a flat near my university. Such an amazing car that one is. Also, you don't need to apologize for "wasting" our time, you entertain us and that's why we watch. I love just watching these Copart videos lying down in bed or just chilling, but I even was productive today and worked on my stuff while watching the vid on other monitor. Every time I watch I want to move to US, wish we had Copart and less laws about selling cars here. Anyway, good luck going onwards and definetly don't get unhappy just because a few haters. Have a good day, Randy! ;-)
I'd go for the fiesta. That car received a face lift in 2014, but the car is essentially the same since the introduction in 2011. I have a 2018 base model with a manual transmission and it's a great car.
Buddy of mine bought a truck where someone had committed suicide inside the vehicle, the body wasn’t found for a few days, completely redid the interior and is using it as a daily to this day
On the Fiesta, the transmission is Ford's PowerShift DCT, so it does feel different, and it does take a few extra seconds to go into gear, plus by 17 they've worked the issues out of it, my mother in law has a 2011 Fiesta and it's been a wonderful car minus the powershift being replaced by Ford at 80k, but it shifts great now.

John nope I have not but my old corolla has started every time I’ve tried in over 9 years. Even when it was -40 outside. You could put a gun to my head and if it didn’t start you could shoot me lol
nissan maxima had cam chain since the A32(also nissan Cefiro shared the same A32 body just re-badged) body back in 1989 before that they had 2L and 3L v6 SOHC motors that were cam belt and they were in the nissan Bluebird U11 body/platform also called a maxuma and these engines had 2L turbo VG20ET they went from VG20E/T and VG30E to 1989 then they went to the modern VQ20DE, VQ25DE, VQ30DE, VQ35DE some had and didn't have variable valve timing
VW van is a westfalia and they are worth BIG $$$ that one is very clean. Yes the top goes up and it has a small bunk area and help you stand up. Several friends have them and will never sell them! The other people are right that model is very desirable.
The fiesta would be a cheap fixed. You can get replacement head lights for 120 on eBay . Priced it all out including from bumper support and braces for around 1200 bucks
the benz has a soft close hood and thats why it hissed at you, its the hydraulics sucking the hood down the rest of the way. theyve had this since before 2003. my benz does it with every part except the hood.
The 81/82 Vette is by far my favorite but this one has some major frame damage. I can tell you from experience (I've built several) that the only way to make that car right again is to do a body-off restoration and thats a ton of work and very expensive. On the lighter side, the damage is not horrible and to the person who wants to take his time and do it right, it's a perfect.
The eurovan is a good driving van. The biggest problem with the eurovans was the timing chains and weak transmissions! I've replaced A LOT of those timing chains! The reason dealers don't want those vans is usually due to the high repair costs. They were great vehicles when new, but they're just not wanted by the dealership anymore! The VW dealership I worked for will not sell them used anymore!
Black Chevy pickup next to that VW van looked interesting. Funny that there's apparently two red third gen Corvettes out there, that is not the same one that was next to the burned out van last week or the week before. I don't think anyhow. The other one was intact in the rear and looked to have early 70s taiilights.
2000 Maxima and newer (even the 3.5L) have Timing chains. I'm not sure how far you have to go back to get a timing belt engine but it's more than 4 years.
RANDY - if you get the Fiesta, check to see if Ford does what Toyota does... Toyota casts in replacement mount bosses in their headlights. On my Prius, you buy a set of mounts for less than $10, they press into the bosses, then one bolt (included with them) holds each on. The headlight mounts are designed to break in a low speed collision, and break in such a way to avoid damage to the main housing. Then they can be reused with the replacement mounts. Most body shops don't do this, they just buy new headlights, I'm guessing because of the increased profit from markup on the new lights.
hey i like the pickup with all the bulletholes a good cleaning plus to pine tree air cleaners am think nobody will cut u off again so want does it sell for i think the only thing i will if the windshield and just look mean a good work truck

Love when these walkarounds come out!
Oops lol
Loved the Porsche, love to see it fixed and ripping down the road, and those vans are hot items for the right price, would sell easily, keep it up no risk no reward
I would bet my life that the corolla would start! My 1990 has a battery from 2011 and it starts in the winter.
John I’d bet my life that my corolla would start any time of the year first try
John nope I have not but my old corolla has started every time I’ve tried in over 9 years. Even when it was -40 outside. You could put a gun to my head and if it didn’t start you could shoot me lol
nissan maxima had cam chain since the A32(also nissan Cefiro shared the same A32 body just re-badged) body back in 1989 before that they had 2L and 3L v6 SOHC motors that were cam belt and they were in the nissan Bluebird U11 body/platform also called a maxuma and these engines had 2L turbo VG20ET
they went from VG20E/T and VG30E to 1989 then they went to the modern VQ20DE, VQ25DE, VQ30DE, VQ35DE some had and didn't have variable valve timing
green vw transporter ,is a camper. roof raises up 2 sleeper bed. slightly different from uk ones. but they fetch big money in. uk.
big money in the US too
Nigeria will fall
VW van is a westfalia and they are worth BIG $$$ that one is very clean. Yes the top goes up and it has a small bunk area and help you stand up. Several friends have them and will never sell them! The other people are right that model is very desirable.
The fiesta would be a cheap fixed. You can get replacement head lights for 120 on eBay . Priced it all out including from bumper support and braces for around 1200 bucks
Love it. Let's buy some. You. Lol. 2019 Malibu, don't forget the crumple zone notches in frame. Looking forward to the next video.
Lol that employee stalking you in background!
I have a 2014 z71.. I highly recommend it.. been a great truck.
nice to see such a long video, there a good cars out there this time! And i followed you on instagram to see how the shop is going :D
the benz has a soft close hood and thats why it hissed at you, its the hydraulics sucking the hood down the rest of the way. theyve had this since before 2003. my benz does it with every part except the hood.
Randy if u are interested in the focus the passenger side a arm is broken as well
The 81/82 Vette is by far my favorite but this one has some major frame damage.
Im sure you noticed but that focus also has a broken control arm
The windshield on those Mercedes S classes start at 1200 up to 2000 bucks easy. Definitely a deal buster
I'd be buying that vw camper in a hartbeat great flip potential
Agreed, could sell it to a #vanlife person pretty easily
Randy, the VW is a camper van. If the price is cheap I would totally jump all over it. A rare find and when you come across one they are EXPENSIVE.
Would love to see the red MKZ in the distance (1:22:14) when that one comes up for auction ...
The plug on the battery on the Porsche is for a battery tender. Keeps battery topped up when car isn't being driven a lot.
Thank you fir the PSA Randy.
These walk round videos are very watchable.
That MKZ looks reaaaalllyy nice! And that Mazda definitely had its Pretensioner fired
The white Lincoln car. The sticker that says Jim Golden , is a dealership in my home town
Love the long copart walkthroughs
