Last year during my senior year of high school the entire choral program sang this song at the holiday concert. Little did we all know that this song would be the last song we would all sing together for the rest of the year. Listening to this song reminds me of the great family that the choral program really is. I miss all of them so much and would do anything to be able to sing with them again.
we sang this song in high school after our choral teacher had open heart surgery. this was always one his favorites to conduct, so it meant a lot to us just to be singing it and knew it would mean the same to him, maybe even more. little did we know, he was there to surprise and support us. he was brought to tears. knew him my whole life, and never saw the man cry.

We sang this for my Graduation Ceremony. I was in the school choir throughout the years. Still brings me to tears to this day....
Why'd they slow the tempo though
The director was anal about the tempo being as written in the arrangement. I’m 90% sure she used a metronome at the concert.
