I agree with Sam and Charmaine, this is one of the best video's demonstrating the use of Advanced Features for the Equinox 800. I like the fact that each function is explained and shows the sequence of pressing the corresponding tag/button. My wife bought me the new NOX 800 last week and it's been pouring down rain everyday since, so I'm trying to stay positive. This is my first Minelab detector and there is a slight learning curve, but nothing that takes a rocket scientist to do.

I'm there with you. My wife bought me one as well. Had the ATP. Ive done well at the beach. After watching the Gigs beach set up I got lucky and found 2 rings the 1st time at the beach. I've even dug 1 ring up next to my house. It loves to find rings. I'm more of a relic hunter at heart. I've dug 4 rings and have only used it I think 6 times...I've got the beach setting down but its going to take some messing around with the setting to get out in the field. I love to hunt around iron,so I got some playing around to do...love it do far. Need to get that 6" coil though

I just got my 800 Nox about a week ago now and love your videos in helping me fully understand how to use it at its fullest. I've only had two beach outings and at the first one I pulled a ton of really old pull tabs and a zinc penny that was disintegrating from the beach sand and salt. This thing finds the smallest bits of metal I've ever seen and really, really deep. (I am using the 15" coil). Thanks again for all the great info. Why do you have 2 - NOX 800 series? or is one a friends?

Thanks Steve for the info. Must be careful with that iron bias setting. Running a higher iron bias directly affects the machines ability to separate non ferrous targets amongst iron targets. I run my 600 on 0 because I don't want the machine to change or alter the way it responds to iron. Basically iron bias is another form of discrimination and we all know how using more discrimination effects performance and most importantly separation.

I am the ol gal that just watched the set up video which was wonderful. Thank you so much for these informative videos! While I can still swing my heavy CTX for hours I could probably push out to more than 6-8 hours with the lightweight NOX! 😏🤷‍♀️

Threshold is a wasted feature as is 1 and 50 tones. I dug a crater to find a penny, so I hope Minelab improves the pin pointer. I suppose the only way to eliminate targets 1-10 is to turn off the sound? My best finds are targets over 16. I have discovered that beach 2 works everywhere, so that’s what I always use.
