  • I have reacted to both of these bands on their own, but I NEVER imagined I'd be reacting to a collaboration of theirs. ‪@BABYMETAL‬ and ‪@ElectricCallboy‬ both really wailed here. I think this song really highlighted what makes either of them awesome while holding on to what makes them unique. Cool stuff!

I've mainly seen your AMK reactions, so I think you might just need to see a different side of Electric Callboy to ease into it. Like their "Prism acoustic version", "Neon" (album or acoustic), "Supernova live" or "Everytime we touch". they're awesome musicians and it's easy to just think of them as goofy, but the main reason for that is that they want to have fun and bring fun to their listeners, which I think is a much needed thing these days. "Arrow of Love" also has a great message and they always give their all to bring people together.

Well this was from the getgo a Collab between the second biggest Misicmarket (Japan) with the third biggest Musikmarket (Germany, Austria and a small part of Suisse). So both Production Teams knew that they would have to try to defend their local influences. There were rwasons why both sides werefighting so hard and in the Endrun both Parties would have to live with the compromise. There was a reason why they ended around Version Number 22.

Welcome back to the Foxhole, it's been a while.🦊🤘🐭
This single just reached Number 1 US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands!
If you see comments talking about how cool was one of the singers turning around at the end, that's a reference to a video reaction they did last week. But the one who really looks cool are oc the ladies striking a pose near the end which is also the pose they used when performing live right from the beginning.💃
Last weekend of May they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab of the year and hit of this summer. They recently released the official live if you don't wanna stop and keep pushing it to the limit.
Also last weekend played together once again at Rock Im Park in Germany twice, one during EC show and the other one during BM show wearing cool new outfits. After that they played again at Rock Am Ring and we already got cool proshot clips. Yesterday they played this song in Amsterdam but without EC on stage.
Pretty sure they will play this at Download Festival too, at least that's my guess.
Polyphia were also at FOX_FEST playing a set and the guitarists Tim Henson and Scott Le Page played together with BM the song Brand New Day, they're special guest in the album version, they were looking for this since a very long time ago and also fans waited for this.
Next suggestion to enjoy another super collab they did prior to this:
    - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV.
Hope to see you around with more BM songs.
    See you next time 🦊🤘🔥

I'm Japanese. Thank for your reaction.
BABYMETAL is not metal band but 'METAL DANCE UNIT'(in official). And they are already adults now. 😁
The vocalist is always selected as one of the top rock singers in the world by famous music magazines in the United Kingdom and is called 'Queen' in the metal world.😍
Now, let's embark on a journey to get to know BABYMETAL with us.😄

When I was introduced to EC through Hypa Hypa (probably around the end of 2020/ beginning of 2021), I was like "I can tolerate the heavy and the screaming, because it's catchy and funny and it has some sounds I'm used to (from EDM/ Techno)". Now I'm like "It's fine if Rave is your religion (referring to lyrics from "Spaceman") but shout it at me HARDER!" 😁🤘
I absolutely enjoy their humor and comedic approach but I also love that they do a serious song every now and then. Somehow, it seem to even slap a bit more when they stop fooling around. Soundwise, Parasite and Mindreader are closer to what they usually do, Hate/Love is a bit different, Fckboi is the least serious one of the serious ones and very different to the rest. Fckboi features Conquer Divide, an all female, US based, multi national metalcore band, they were the support band on EC's 2023 North America tour.
You might also enjoy "Drum Solo/ Kurwa Song Live in Cologne Lanxess Arena 2023", their drummer (obviously) David Friedrich plays it over a remix of Darude's Sandstorm (the Kurwa Song title is an inside joke from their bts/ tour vlogs).

Oh I didn't expect you to come back to EC (which would’ve been fine of course) but I am very happy that you're considering to listen to more of their music now :D
They definitely opened my ears and heart to some edm and even pure techno music :)

Watching Nico and Kevin dancing behind Babymetal is like watching brothers/dads dancing with sisters/daughters in a tiktok video, was the best comment I've read in comment sections 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛. BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 18 concerts at 15 venues.
I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (and group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!)
★ You can find the official LIVE video in RUclips !!
The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. Now the 3 girls and 2 boys are doing this song with EC band in EC shows and with Kami Band in BM shows, in two ways, in some European festivals 💛。
(Just FYI, BABYMETAL also performed "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA in the festival. That was beautiful and soothing.)

If you'd enjoyed this drum fill you should definitely check out Sleep Token. I know they may be heavy at some points, but they have quieter songs as well and they are very intriguing lyrics. Like Atlantic, Fall for me, Telomeres, Levitate, Blood Sport, Aqua Reagia, Are You Really OK - and of course Euclid (which you should listen to only if you have listened to The Night Does Not Belong To God and maybe more songs). I would really appreciate it 😊
As well as you listening to Kummer feat Henning May Live aus der Wulheide - Der Rest meines Lebens.

I'm not sure where BABYMETAL got this reputation of always being serious ... in some MVs like 'Karate' they may look serious, but that is because they are acting, in others like 'Megitsune' they were literally playing, running round and having fun, in 'Iine' they dressed up in hoodies and sunglasses to do a hip hop section, in 'Headbanger' Su was jumping round on a bed (she even fell off), in Metali they were kicking over tea tables having a festival and ended up sitting on top of Tom Morello's guitar smiling and waving. See them live and they're always smiling, having fun, trying to make each other or the Kami Band laugh. Those bits don't make it onto the DVDs I guess.
I think both BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy take their music seriously, but they like to enjoy themselves too - and OK EC do deliberately make their videos etc more humorous.

Babymetal caught so much grief in the early years about how they weren't "real metal" and I think that, in part, drove their very serious presentation. I suspect that now that they're older, much more well known, and a trio again at last they'll be able to demonstrate a more playful side. Metali had elements of that as well.

BabyMetal is about 10x bigger than Electronic Callboy.
