Hi, just started lyra. I have a bout 7 classes under my belt and a week ago I installed a lyra where I work. I work at a cool place!! Ha ha. I love it. I'm having trouble sustaining pointed toes without cramping in my foot. Any tips? Thank you for your great channel.
cool video. sometimes you are getting so into mastering the difficult, more advanced, cool looking moves that you forget about the basics :D the first position I was taught was the man/woman in the moon and it is still one of my absolute favourite positions
Hi Cara, this video was a great idea and I think most of us realy needed it. I love the move to change the legs! It's looking so great, that I will even use it when it wouldn't be necessry to change legs. Can you do a video about how to exit the amazon position greacefully?
Glad you liked it - I love that move too :) to exit amazon the simplest way and I think the best way is just to take the leg that is on the outside (farther away from the hoop) put it through the center of the hoop and hook it on the bottom so that you are in cradle - You can see it in my "beauty roll into Amazon" video
Hey Cara the hoop at my club is suspended about 8 feet in the air. Can you show how to get up there and how to bring your torso up once you get your legs in
I had a coach try and show us how to get into front balance by rolling and when she did I failed to understand you roll on your upper thigh. Not hip. Did 3 in a row on my hipbone. Most painful thing, I had a bruise for weeks.
The secret is to be able to feel the best place to put your foot on the ground under you, if you are swinging it's probably because the foot on the ground is in the wrong place try moving your foot a bit more to the side

Is it normal to 😅🐱fart when you go up to grab the hoop after doing the knee hook😅😅😅only sometimes
It's because you're using your core so yes. Nothing to worry about!

Off topic question. How did you become a house sitter.
Oh, I was just doing it for a friend while she was on vacation
how can you do that you don´t rock swing sway , just spin. Sorry for bad english, you know what I mean.

New sub
What keeps the hoop spinning?
Just momentum
Is it hard to do aerial hoop?
I know mermaid is not a hard move but for some reason, I’m scared of trying it. I can do more tricky moves but I struggle with mermaid :(
It can feel a little weird sometimes, if you can try it on a double point hoop that might help - the hoop won't move as much so it might feel easier
That second move is not easy 😂 I keep falling of the hoop and it's very painful 😅
