The first time I took acid was in 1973, 18 years old. It was my first time away from home, at Uni. with a few good friends. It was a profound, mind expanding, uplifting experience. I learned that there are many different was to experience and see things. The world wasn't as black and white, or dull, as I thought. I took it 3 more times with the same friends, at the end of a semester. Each time was different, wonderful, taking me places I'd never been before. I'm now 68 years old, never have taken LSD since. I feel fortunate to have had those magical experiences when I was younger which have helped me in my life see the world in a different light. I would encourage anyone who wishes to expand their life experience to try it. The host of this video, Shelby, definitely has the right advice.

The last time I got hold of a hit i had such a good time i don't need to do it again. I would, but I doubt I'll ever find any that good again. It was 10 times better than any other trip i ever had. I was just hanging around with some friends and they weren't tripping but they kept me laughing and it felt so good just being with them. The whole time i couldn't believe how happy I was. The whole room was alive too. It was just incredible.
If possible, ask the purveyor how much (hypothetically) a full vial costs, and if it is closer to $600/700 then chances are it's probably top-of-the-crop premium stuff.

Thanks Shelby! I agree with you about the typical enjoyment of being outdoors and the different environments nature has to offer. Always super cool..like walking in a garden in a light rain..or sitting on a porch listening to a distant storm or birds chirping or people watching in a park..it's all good. Another thing that my brother, friend and I discovered to be highly entertaining and very funny is to trip (on acid) watching a program (maybe a sitcom) on tv with the volume turned down and adding our own random, totally unrelated dialogue until we were hysterically laughing/crying. It's so silly, yet so fulfilling.

I believe that practice has improved my enjoyment, and I look forward to skillfully reaching breakthroughs when I select. Variation will be interesting.
By my experiences , when you want to go out with friends and do stuff , dose on the low end. I have had amazing breakthroughs at home on heroic doses but there is no way to actually function because I can’t move around much because my sense of balance is just gone . I have also had a better experience on a low dose with people at music festivals. Just like with alcohol , know your limits and be responsible and certainly don’t drive.
My absolute fav time and place to start tripping with in the middle of the woods ( off trail ) at dusk nothing better than when the sun goes down and the shadows start playing with you mazing ( but advised more for advanced people or with a trip sitter )

There is only a handful of things I would not recommend doing on acid, such as; school, work, driving or eating dinner with your parents. Also dentists appointments are not much fun either.
No one mentions this, but I learned a 'bad trip ' happened when my innate psychic self was Seeing all the hidden corruptions that I ran away from home about. Like super triggered, I did not enjoy public places at all, and having been raised in Disney's underworld, ida never felt safe tripping there. I guess the fun part is all relative
I'm a veteran "psychonaut", so what I do is I make sure I have plenty of good snacks and drinks, then I set the lights to a chill tone and start playing my favorite music. I ping pong between music and videos while snacking. It's awesome, get comfy on the couch with a soft blanket. Always tell yourself it's just the "L" if you start getting paranoid, your body is fine its just the drugs Lol. Quite possibly one of my favorite entertainment drugs. It's also good for character growth, if you're trying to find yourself. (BTW it makes sex phenomenal)
Slow breathing exercises sometimes helps me with paranoia. Or calling a friend to chat about whatever to distract me. Thankfully paranoia just mildly annoys me.
Gf took me to Disneyland for my first time and we both tripped, never was more fun had, literally thought the day turned to night when we floated past the restaurant inside Pirates of the Caribbean 😆. Magical place for sure
I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian. I have been using psychedelics since the mid 70s.....for me it is now always a spiritual experience and an opportunity for spiritual and emotional growth. I always have everything in order, no responsibilities etc....I also practice the ancient Christian practice of heychaism (The Jesus Prayer) I usually will be outdoors with Orthodox chant playing in the background. Because I always take extremely large doses I never put myself in a situation where I am in public or have responsibilities. Occasionally, I will talk to a like minded friend, although that is usually a distraction. I have never had a "bad trip " I attribute this to being grounded in my faith. I have on occasion tripped while socializing or purely for recreational purposes (much smaller doses) for me that is a waste.....thank you for your informative video. I enjoyed it very much. music and movies... concerts are always a blast i do some every couple weeks or so on a saturday night or sunday during the day. day tripping can be so colorful and brilliant. first took LSD in 1986. probably 500+ trips since then over the years. love it!
I always tell people my favorite thing to do while tripping is nothing. Hell, I don't even like to move. I sit in a meditative state.And just let the universe come to me.
Shrooms changed my life...I managed to explore traumatic past memories with my current perspective and made peace with all that pain and let it go. I also would advise doing psychedelics with a trusted person in calm safe space...in or around nature is a good shout.
I listen to Alan Watts when I'm tripping sometimes Terrence McKenna but he seems a little too on the nose. My favorite thing to do while tripping is to eat mad weed cookies and let the thc and psychedelics and THC battle it out in my system. At about 500 mgs the cannabis kind of takes over but most people will find that dose harder to cope with than the acid or mushrooms.

Yes but I also noticed scenic nature, (and the denser it is too) tends to attenuate and subdue the 'stimulating' qualities of LSD in a sense and make it more relaxing. But I also don't find high quality LSD in general to really be stimulating/energizing at all, and instead to be mostly just chill or meditative. The synchronicities that start firing off or bounding forward when doing, especially acid of all psychedelics in an outdoor setting can get a little overwhelming though, and sometimes even objectively dicey or turbulent. Especially when you're walking around and being spatially mobile, that's when all the random happenings really start getting charged up and start even becoming more 'interactive' and.. pedagogical, as well as just logically and genuinely off-putting. I mean the actual troubling and trying times were mostly just in urban settings with acid for me, as opposed to in nature. But with these urban/manmade areas *that's* when the LSD coincidences and strange synchronistic happenings frequently took on a disconcerting; often hellion tone. Nearly always stringently pedagogic as well though nevertheless. Very straining on the sensibilities. I mean, I would see things happen on acid in my normal, mundane part of town that I would only see when I used to have an architectural office assistant out-in-the-field job of guarding abandoned buildings in downtown. Only seen people using phencyclidine for instance on acid, and when guarding the California Theater downtown. But even with that time downtown, there was no one ripping doorhandles off doors.
I have been running the woods since I was a child. At five my sister and I chilled out in the woods for hours while Daddy went to get Mama. It was great.
I took my LSD in the 80s, the real stuff that was sold at Grateful Dead shows. Now I am hesitant because the drug supply is contaminated with unknown research chemicals and possibly fentanyl. I'll take it again but only if I can find a trustworthy source that does proper testing on it. AFAIK there's only one dispensary in Vancouver BC that tests all their psychedelics.

I seen my friend's face smelled I'm too hit to doubled up blotter and the trip was at 180 was fantastic there was a few dark moments but I had trip sitters and also I know somebody who took a half a head of micro Dot and there were 16 years old it was at a party and now they're like 45 and can't drink or smoke weed or nothing😢😢😢 I've always had fantastic experiences but never never take a high dose by yourself
This was super interesting. It’s been about 40 years since I once tried it but the information was so negative that I never tried it again. I’ve recently become interested in it looking for an expanded mental state to help me get over writers block. If I can find some I’m thinking of starting with very tiny micro dosing to see how much it takes to start to get going.
"tripping" means that you will be forever changing what you want to do, at the present moment . Any task does not last more than just a few moments, before you lose interest.
Mushrooms are way more adjustable. You can eat a little and trip a little and eat a little more and trip a little more then eat a lot and trip a lot or keep eating a little and keep your little trip going. Acid is take your dose, enjoy the trip till it's complete. They are very different.
My buddy and I went to see 2001 a Space Odyssey when it came out. Donald Duck in Math-magic Land blew our minds and the main feature was too much. My buddy couldn't take the monkeys going ape and we had to leave. We wandered Boulder totally lost until rescued by a housemate. Those orange drums were unbelievably strong.

LSD trip seems to last until you fall asleep. Hard to fall asleep before 6-8 hrs, but you can be tripping all night and all the next day if you want to... It will not be like the peak that whole time, but still noticeably high... Me and my friends and those I have mentioned this to have all agreed that it seems to work like that...

In the 70s i drank light flowerpetal tea from local fresh datura. Once was enough and very scary as i 'came down' from it. Wierd how 20+ yrs later my teenage son and his friends snuck off and tried this plant on 2 occasions, hardly affected by it❤

I guess I'm really sheltered, or was. I'm 52 now. But, I STILL don't understand just how easy it seems for people to find all these substances. I've STRUGGLED with this. I don't even know where to go that is reliable, so I don't get some weird cocktail that someone just "made" or whatever. HOW and where would a person in a farming state even find these things? Obviously I don't want to get "in trouble" with the L A W. But, I just want suggestions on WHO or where to ask or check or whatever.
just use weed if it's legal where you are at. Maybe ask the weed dispensary if they have mushrooms... stay away from mushroom chocolate tho unless you know how they are made bc they might have synthetic compounds instead of actual mushrooms.
Stopped doing acid in my early 20s but my favorite activity always included my girlfriend and her station wagon at the beach at night or in the woods with lots of water 😊 PS i still love growing and eating mushrooms but my wife doesn't 😂

In my experience, you don’t do things on acid. Acid does things and you go along on the trip. I mean you and your trip mates might have every intention of watching a movie. 2 hours later you are playing with the remote, or just laughing at how funny the word “remote” sounds. Or you might find yourself in some “remote” location because you wandered off, maybe in your mind or maybe for real and maybe you can’t tell which it is. Acid, it’s in charge, but just for 12 hours or so.

Because I always take extremely large doses I never put myself in a situation where I am in public or have responsibilities. Occasionally, I will talk to a like minded friend, although that is usually a distraction. I have never had a "bad trip " I attribute this to being grounded in my faith. I have on occasion tripped while socializing or purely for recreational purposes (much smaller doses) for me that is a waste.....thank you for your informative video. I enjoyed it very much. So much I could say here . . . but for all you trippers out there, wait until you come up, like an hour or two into the trip, and go to RUclips and stream it onto your giant TV and surround sound stereo , get your popcorn, and sit down and watch " Star Trek Acid Party" ". You can thank me later.

Shrooms changed my life...I managed to explore traumatic past memories with my current perspective and made peace with all that pain and let it go. I also would advise doing psychedelics with a trusted person in calm safe space...in or around nature is a good shout.
I listen to Alan Watts when I'm tripping sometimes Terrence McKenna but he seems a little too on the nose.
My favorite thing to do while tripping is to eat mad weed cookies and let the thc and psychedelics and THC battle it out in my system. At about 500 mgs the cannabis kind of takes over but most people will find that dose harder to cope with than the acid or mushrooms.

Yes but I also noticed scenic nature, (and the denser it is too) tends to attenuate and subdue the 'stimulating' qualities of LSD in a sense and make it more relaxing. But I also don't find high quality LSD in general to really be stimulating/energizing at all, and instead to be mostly just chill or meditative. The synchronicities that start firing off or bounding forward when doing, especially acid of all psychedelics in an outdoor setting can get a little overwhelming though, and sometimes even objectively dicey or turbulent. Especially when you're walking around and being spatially mobile, that's when all the random happenings really start getting charged up and start even becoming more 'interactive' and.. pedagogical, as well as just logically and genuinely off-putting. I mean the actual troubling and trying times were mostly just in urban settings with acid for me, as opposed to in nature. But with these urban/manmade areas *that's* when the LSD coincidences and strange synchronistic happenings frequently took on a disconcerting; often hellion tone. Nearly always stringently pedagogic as well though nevertheless. Very straining on the sensibilities. I mean, I would see things happen on acid in my normal, mundane part of town that I would only see when I used to have an architectural office assistant out-in-the-field job of guarding abandoned buildings in downtown. Only seen people using phencyclidine for instance on acid, and when guarding the California Theater downtown. But even with that time downtown, there was no one ripping doorhandles off doors.
I have been running the woods since I was a child. At five my sister and I chilled out in the woods for hours while Daddy went to get Mama. It was great.
I always set an intention mentally concerning what I’d like to work on during the trip beforehand.

I took my LSD in the 80s, the real stuff that was sold at Grateful Dead shows. Now I am hesitant because the drug supply is contaminated with unknown research chemicals and possibly fentanyl. I'll take it again but only if I can find a trustworthy source that does proper testing on it. AFAIK there's only one dispensary in Vancouver BC that tests all their psychedelics.

It's up to you, but after using most acid available a few times a week, purple microdot ended my use. Use of all drugs. 😢 Which was better for me.

I seen my friend's face smelled I'm too hit to doubled up blotter and the trip was at 180 was fantastic there was a few dark moments but I had trip sitters and also I know somebody who took a half a head of micro Dot and there were 16 years old it was at a party and now they're like 45 and can't drink or smoke weed or nothing😢😢😢 I've always had fantastic experiences but never never take a high dose by yourself

This was super interesting. It’s been about 40 years since I once tried it but the information was so negative that I never tried it again.

Acid is take your dose, enjoy the trip till it's complete. They are very different.

dilute some tabs in alcohol and you can adjust the dose very precisely... that's how a lot of people microdose when they have tabs.

My buddy couldn't take the monkeys going ape and we had to leave. We wandered Boulder totally lost until rescued by a housemate. Those orange drums were unbelievably strong.

LSD trip seems to last until you fall asleep. Hard to fall asleep before 6-8 hrs, but you can be tripping all night and all the next day if you want to... It will not be like the peak that whole time, but still noticeably high... Me and my friends and those I have mentioned this to have all agreed that it seems to work like that...

I seen my friend's face melt on two hits of double dot bladder however I didn't know they were double dipped until about 4 hours after I took them both so technically that's four single hits and the trip last at 18 hours I had a blast 90% of the time but there were a few dark moments where I had to just sit back and tell myself it's going to be over with eventually and it was and I'm fine other than I got bad anxiety and ADHD which I was born with that so😂😂❤❤❤

I guess I'm really sheltered, or was. I'm 52 now. But, I STILL don't understand just how easy it seems for people to find all these substances. I've STRUGGLED with this. I don't even know where to go that is reliable, so I don't get some weird cocktail that someone just "made" or whatever. HOW and where would a person in a farming state even find these things? Obviously I don't want to get "in trouble" with the L A W. But, I just want suggestions on WHO or where to ask or check or whatever.
just use weed if it's legal where you are at. Maybe ask the weed dispensary if they have mushrooms... stay away from mushroom chocolate tho unless you know how they are made bc they might have synthetic compounds instead of actual mushrooms.

In my experience, you don’t do things on acid. Acid does things and you go along on the trip. I mean you and your trip mates might have every intention of watching a movie. 2 hours later you are playing with the remote, or just laughing at how funny the word “remote” sounds. Or you might find yourself in some “remote” location because you wandered off, maybe in your mind or maybe for real and maybe you can’t tell which it is. Acid, it’s in charge, but just for 12 hours or so.
I "saw" Led Zepplin in the day but mostly remember snow flakes accumulating on the car windshield and my friends dragging me into the concert.
