Ive taken methadone for almost 10 . Just a heads up everyone I discovered by accident that iboga root bark and probably ibogaine hydrochloride completely decimated my symptoms a chronic lyme disease which I've had for what is believed to be a few decades now period following my ibogaine treatment chronic Lyme disease symptoms disappeared entirely until I started eating poorly again and that was after about six months so definitely something to look into

I’m not gonna waste my time arguing with you but I personally know lots of people in my area that have dropped out and went straight back to hydrocodone. Methadone is equivalent to a nicotine patch at best, riddled with horrible short and long term effects that almost begs you to ask the question why even bother substituting one addiction for another. Ibogaine is worth trying for those people because they have a better chance for long term sobriety.

The only time I tried an opioid was doctor prescribed and i hated it. I went back the next day and got an anti-inflammatory that tore my stomach up, but didn't make me feel hot, itchy and sick. I think I am going to take an ibogaine trip anyways.

What I am curious about is whether the iboga bush is legal to posess and cultivate in the United States. Thete are many plants that contain DMT, for example, that are legal to cultivate, so long as one does not extract and concentrate the DMT. The reason I want to know if the iboga bush is legal, is that if ibogaine treatment becomes legally available, it will create a tremendous demand that could threaten the conservation of the species. By getting a head start on learning to cultivate this plant, if it is legal to do so, one could not only protect the species but also provide the needed medicine without the years of development it may require if cultivation only begins after ibogaine therapy is legalized.

I’m a physician in the states. I have patients on buprenorphine for opiate dependence. It really helps, and I can taper them to a very low dose, but only very rarely can I get them off entirely. My sister was addicted to OxyContin for majority of her life time. 5 yrs ago she was on her last straw and sought out Ibogain treatment in Alberta. . This is a tragedy and I am truly sorry for your loss. One reason to change its schedule would be to make it easier to research in US with the hopes of developing a semi-synthetic derivative that would be less dangerous and hard on the heart to people with known or unknown heart conditions so things like this would happen less. It is much easier to study a schedule 2 or 3 drug than schedule 5 while still keeping it highly regulated. Also standardized clinics would (hopefully) be required to test for substances before administering treatment and require medical staff on hand because it can be dangerous. Some clinics are sketchy at best.

I’ve been on suboxone for 9 years. I live a very normal life as a married mother of 4. I’ve never gone back to using..I was prescribed opiates for pain, and my doctor kept giving me pills. Until my doctor became my drug dealer. When they decided to change my medicine to a synthetic tramadol .. I bought my Percocet on the street. I was so bad in my habit that I didn’t care about getting high anymore.. I took pills in order to feel normal, so suboxone was perfect for me. However, I agree that many people go back to using.. most likely because they were forced to do treatment, they didn’t really want it for themselves. In order for it to work, you really need to want it for yourself. I wish there were other options for me at the time, because I didn’t know I would be taking suboxone for this long. But I’m totally dependent on it. The withdrawal for suboxone is way worse than anything I’ve ever felt before.
I quit after taking both for 8 years by easing off slowly. I would cut an Ativan pill in half than half again, went from one to 3/4 to half to a 1/4 to little crumbs to laughing because by than I knew there was such a small amount, it was like why bother? After that it’s easy because the last thing someone wants is to go through it twice.

How much longer are we supposed to wait? It's ridiculous that Americans still don't have access to this. She should have never received treatment due to a low heart rate prior to treatment. She was left unattended and having seizures from xanax withdrawal.

I have been taking 8mg buprenorphine 3 times daily for over 3 years, for pain. It has stopped working for me. My legs are on fire! My doc wants to do yet another epidural.... We'll see. What should I do for my pain? I don't want to go onto something too strong. I took 30mg Norco AND 30mg Methadone simultaneously for 2 years! I switched to Bup. because I was sleeping my life away.... Ibogaine works... end of story. some people may need to have an EKG and liver testing but a good provider can help with micro-dosing. I know few friends that was on opioids ( oxy) and they got clean in a day. end of story.
So do you also know about Microdosing Ibogaine if it works? I have severe PTSD / depression and nothing helps, and I have found a few cases (also scientific papers) that have been also helped by a course of microdosing. I was on methadone for two years,went to rehab to try and quit...came home and I was worse off then what I was before i started methadone...it was like i had never stopped...I was physically, mentally, and emotional defeated... contemplated suicide several times...which is why I'm now sitting in Baja California waiting to recieve my ibogane treatment...please pray i have a safe and successful treatment.....

The only time I tried an opioid was doctor prescribed and i hated it. I went back the next day and got an anti-inflammatory that tore my stomach up, but didn't make me feel hot, itchy and sick. I think I am going to take an ibogaine trip anyways.

What I am curious about is whether the iboga bush is legal to posess and cultivate in the United States. Thete are many plants that contain DMT, for example, that are legal to cultivate, so long as one does not extract and concentrate the DMT. The reason I want to know if the iboga bush is legal, is that if ibogaine treatment becomes legally available, it will create a tremendous demand that could threaten the conservation of the species. By getting a head start on learning to cultivate this plant, if it is legal to do so, one could not only protect the species but also provide the needed medicine without the years of development it may require if cultivation only begins after ibogaine therapy is legalized.

My sister was addicted to OxyContin for majority of her life time. 5 yrs ago she was on her last straw and sought out Ibogain treatment in Alberta. @@aaymathebest4705 it is an opioid, but an different type, one that connects to different opioid receptors. So the person consuming them won’t feel too much of a euphoric effect, rather something to stop the withdrawals and cravings
. This is a tragedy and I am truly sorry for your loss. One reason to change its schedule would be to make it easier to research in US with the hopes of developing a semi-synthetic derivative that would be less dangerous and hard on the heart to people with known or unknown heart conditions so things like this would happen less. It is much easier to study a schedule 2 or 3 drug than schedule 5 while still keeping it highly regulated. Also standardized clinics would (hopefully) be required to test for substances before administering treatment and require medical staff on hand because it can be dangerous. Some clinics are sketchy at best.

I’ve been on suboxone for 9 years. I live a very normal life as a married mother of 4. I’ve never gone back to using..I was prescribed opiates for pain, and my doctor kept giving me pills. Until my doctor became my drug dealer. When they decided to change my medicine to a synthetic tramadol .. I bought my Percocet on the street. I was so bad in my habit that I didn’t care about getting high anymore.. I took pills in order to feel normal, so suboxone was perfect for me. However, I agree that many people go back to using.. most likely because they were forced to do treatment, they didn’t really want it for themselves. In order for it to work, you really need to want it for yourself.
I wish there were other options for me at the time, because I didn’t know I would be taking suboxone for this long. But I’m totally dependent on it. The withdrawal for suboxone is way worse than anything I’ve ever felt before.

I quit after taking both for 8 years by easing off slowly. I would cut an Ativan pill in half than half again, went from one to 3/4 to half to a 1/4 to little crumbs to laughing because by than I knew there was such a small amount, it was like why bother? After that it’s easy because the last thing someone wants is to go through it twice.
