Amazing riffs and tone like Candlemass!!!
It's like I just have to keep listening to it no matter what... I said no matter what!
Its wild how well the katana works for drone/doom the acoustic channel has the most headroom out of any of my amps. Your channel has really helped me have a lot of fun playing in the past year.🧙♂️🐌
Nice! Did you use an attenuator and if so which one? Do you recommend any brand/model attenuator?
no attenuator here. the crush pro is plugged into a cab, and the master volume is silent. the dark terror is going into a loadbox (Twonotes torpedo captor) so the whole rig is completely silent. I do own an attenuator though, i use it when im playing in the room. Bugera Power soak. works really well, although it does color the tone a little.
I really dig your stuff dude. I love my CR120. I’m able to get exactly what I want out of it. What does the Two Note do for you? I’m not familiar with them and not sure if it would help.
thanks. the twonotes allows me to capture the Orange Dark Terror power amp, that the CR120 preamp is going into.
Sounds great and now I've got a new band to check out!
I finally got to play through a Super Crush yesterday and was totally floored. I gotta get an Orange.
Which IR are you using?
Thanks! I'm using Ownhammer Low Tuned
Amazing ! Graves At Sea is the best !
This Sounds gnarly brah i never knew you could use the fx loop like this
cant remember seeing you using drop tuning. sounds brilliant. thank you :-)
thanks! this one would be a little too difficult for me to play in standard tuning.
Someone stole my cr120 and my '93 Gibson Les Paul 😢
sorry to hear that, hope you find your gear eventually somehow. ☹
Lowlife scumbags, may they be judged for what they've done to you
It's gone , I just have to replace it. Cr120 should be easy, it's the Les Paul I'll have a hard time replacing.
Awesome tone!
Sounds very unusual for my ears, very specific distortion) i like it)
thanks
Awesome
Love you channel and always use your drum loops
awesome, thank you!
Beautiful!!!
thanks
I bought myself the crush pro last week and it’s aaaawesome af! Nice job man 🙌🏻 I probably will use it with the return of my OR15.
thanks! yeah, crush pro is a dope amp, people say its like 80% of the rockerverb tone. Love your channel by the way! awesome content!👍
@@DoomTones oh man thanks 🙏🏻 i appreciate it!!
This is killer bro!
thanks!
All I can say is yes
I see so many people running such small strings, and getting good sounds, properly intonated. I just can’t understand how! I’m running a 27 inch scale guitar in drop a, and that to me felt like a 68 was needed. You’re at like 12 lbs of string tension, which just feels like i’m playing yarn. Killer sound.
Just try 56-60s for A
I like 13-64 on 24.75 and 25.5". For long scale 12-60 in drop A is pretty good
Baritone scale are not for thick strings, it's for same tension (as 25.5) with thinner strings
@@deadwhip I’m right around 20lbs per string. Which is the same tension of a E standard guitar with a standard 48 gauge string. Going down in gauge just starts to feel like noodles. So floppy.
@@gregnelson9335 did you check DoesItDoom video about Iommy's string ? He used so tiny tension) I do not recommend it just maybe should to try some lighter tension ? I was used thick strings too, like Nile's 12-70 on 24.75 and 25.5" in drop A, but it sounds so bassy and kinda tube-ish, bit lighter = bit brighter for me. I also use 10-54 + 64 on my 7 strings 25.5" Dean Vendetta for drop F#, and I like it a lot. Not for fast and technical (death metal for example), but for stoner doom it works well)
@@gregnelson9335 it's very depending of your picking techniques, lighter strings require faster pick attack
thanks. i started out with heavier gauges like 56 and above for C and B tuning, but i have moved to lighter strings. I feel that the loose strings sound way better when playing doom power chords than heavy gauges. One of the best drone tones i have gotten was with the Epi SG in drop B with 48 gauge.
Sounds soooooooo nice man!
thanks
Nice man, sounds great!
appreciate it!
