Of course they won't make a third movie with the title "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice", otherwise the audience would've been kidnapped by the Beetlejuice for saying his name three times thanks to the title 😂😂
Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara still slip into their roles effortlessly, as if 36 years haven't passed. Jenna Ortega is perfect casting for Winona Ryder's daughter.
I think it's probably because of two big comic book movies releasing in the same month Joker 2 and Venom 3 which may overshadow this movie and people might forget about it soon enough. For example how Mission Impossible dead reckoning part 1 was forgotten soon after 1st or 2nd weeks of its release when Barbiehemer both were released same month. I guess Tim Burton didn't wanted that with Beetlejuice. It's Superhero based movies too thats going to releasing around Halloween time so it made sense.
Perhaps it prepping for a streaming release near or on Halloween. Plus the movie is going to be on people's mind when prepping to buy Halloween costumes which is a good idea financially. Yes, they could've hyped it up for the release on or near the 31st but I think they wanted to play it safe just in case the movie is not heralded.
Another reviewer mentioned about Keaton's voice being deeper than the first movie too, kind of intriguing in a way, he was in his 30s in the first movies, he's in his 70s now, it would deepen with age.
I absolutely loved this movie! While i still like the original more, this one came pretty close to being just as good. While I agree that there are too many storylines, I personally wasn’t bothered by that. I just go to a movie to have a good time, I typically don’t judge a movie based on story because that’s just not what I look for in a film. Especially when it comes to something like Beetlejuice, which is meant to just be a fun and crazy experience. Story has never really been the focus of these movies. While the is an overarching story included, it’s not really meant to be the focus. This movie is a solid 9/10 for me.
THAT isn’t a good impression? that was awesome wtf 😭 jokes aside, great review - i just got back from seeing it, and I surprisingly loved it. Had me laughing out loud multiple times
7/10, too many storylines, some characters could've been cut out of the movie, the last 15 mins were a little weak and having Lydia as a TV show host doesn't completely fit for me but still fun overall and better than most sequels/reboots.
I think they could’ve saved the ex-wife story for a 3rd movie (perfect opportunity to give it the full name, if you know what I mean) and it would’ve had a healthier pace. But all considered, I absolutely loved this movie.
I kinda wish they were doing an adaptation of the Broadway Musical instead as I think it’s a lot better than the movie. And the story structure is different enough to where it wouldn’t be considered lazy
@@NostalgiaStudiosinc96 I think a movie based on Beetlejuice: The Musical would be much better received (especially if advertised correctly) as it is very different from the original project where the Mean Girls musical is mostly just the original story beat for beat with songs added. Also, lyrically, it’s just a much better musical in general
I love this, and I know he is meant to look all really old/dead, but MK was a lot younge then and didn't have none of them crow feet etc They could of edited that all out in post production! I'm seeing this on Sat at 6pm in UK-England, can't wait!!!!!!!!!!

I loved this movie so much i just saw it a few hours ago. But i do not understand how it’s pg13 i mean the language is border line r but still pg-13 but the gore was way more than I’ve ever seen in a pg13. But don’t get me wrong i absolutely loved the movie
Almost as good as the first movie if it wasn't too overstuffed but it's about as good as I could've hope for a Beetlejuice sequel. Awesome to see that Keaton hasn't missed a single beat with this role after not playing this role for 36 years
The first act was rather flat and draggy. There were too many plots crammed into this movie that felt too convoluted. And I agree that it could work better as a series rather than a single movie. And I believe thet tried to make that church scene like that dinner scene in first movie. But it felt flat. Somehow I believe they rehashed the material used in the Broadway musical version into this movie. I'd not seen the musical version but somehow it does feel very Broadway-musical style at times.
I definitely have mixed feelings here. The original is in my top 25 movies of all time but the writing and humor felt off in this one. Way too unfocused and didn’t utilize the main characters well enough.
Happy 73th Birthday Michael Keaton
Im just happy to hear Danny elfman’s incredible score again. Seriously underrated
It's Michael Keaton's birthday today!
No way!
Bet you it’s way important than your cousin birthday.
Of course they won't make a third movie with the title "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Beetlejuice", otherwise the audience would've been kidnapped by the Beetlejuice for saying his name three times thanks to the title 😂😂
LOL
He doesn't kidnap people.. just terrorizes them.

Just got out of the theater from seeing it. A really solid sequel, and Keaton steals the show again!
Same
Love the new background. Please keep it.
Missed opportunity to release this movie during the Halloween season next month, it really felt like a full Halloween vibe

It is halloween season. I'm confused lol
@@amy_yoshikawa Venom 3 will bomb but Joker 2 will be a big hit.

Looking forward to the Movie Mode on this one! Personally, I was also surprised by just how much I enjoyed it!
Loved it. All of the elements of the original with a new story. Classic Tim Burton with amazing music and an amazing cast.

Another great review. Also are you going to be reviewing the front room it seems like nobody is talking about this movie.
Hmm I’ll check it out!

Jermey is a good twist villain

After Mean Girls 2024, that wouldn't be reccomended.
