I still own my 99 Accord V6 Coupe and remember dreaming of installing a CT Supercharger on it back in the day! If memory serves they were $4600 and that was just for the kit. To then install and tune it was another $1500 on top of that! I was way to poor at the time so that dream died. But I still have her... 278k miles on the odom. I'd love to rip her apart and completely refresh. And with her being 20 years old I don't have to worry about emissions to pass inspection. Skies the limit! Awesome little build sir. Thank you for sharing! Trying to learn as much as I can.
@@jay7264 I'm in North Carolina, so it's 20 for us. I'm trying to sell my old turbo kit that was for my Genesis turbo. If I can't sell it I might just slap it on the Accord for fun. lol
Hands down one of the gnarliest Honda engine swaps I've ever seen. It's so obnoxious and I love it. I'm sure it will be wild to drive down the strip. That is if you can see the tree. Lol
I can’t believe the insight crash was already 10 years ago. My coworker wants to supercharge his Ridgeline and this is going to really motivate him since he’s looking at the CT kit as well.
This is so awesome! I absolutely love the j series honda motor so much that I actually make custom harnesses and axles for these swaps into 90s hondas. Love seeing them get popular, hasport mounts are king for the swap as well!!
Pretty damn wild! So nice to see Brian still doing it…. And doing it well. I used to sell to them a bit here and there way up from Vegas (Acura) back in the day. Mainly linkages since those were hard to source. Brian had me test on of his solid rear mounts on my EM SI coupe and it was amazing. Good people to work with.
The throttle body will be your biggest/cheapest power adder on this setup. Too small a TB really hurts power on these blowers, so a big radiased wntry is tour friend. Can't wait to see it!
Wow after you mentioned your crash I had to go see it. Glad you are doing great. Just got my EGK5 Mounts last week love em other than having to modify the passenger side mount since there was no room to tighten the bolt without grinding down part of the mount
Id love to see you do a 6 speed manual pilot keeping the awd and keeping it looking stock.my wife loves her pilot but dreads the day the auto takes a dump.
Suggestions: For the aero for the supercharger I suggest a cowl a simple 7 bend sheet metal that attaches to the hood. You can either weld it on and that would eliminate 3 bends. Next is a inner cooler. and last but not least complete the build on my Nissan 200 SX. I'm disabled and can't work on it anymore. It has a one off body kit that I installed. Gutted cat with 1 to 4 exhaust. It's a 95 model that has great sentimental value to me. It Came right before my daughter did. She's the reason for the car. I can't find a shop that will build it with all parts supplied by Sponsors. There are so many car give aways I don't understand why a You Tube shop won't do this for the content. Any help with my dilemma would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I dont think thats a 07-08 tl base 3.2 motor. Looks like the slightly newer 3.5 motors just looking at the valve cover design and the pcd design as well. Likely a j35z engine. Those engines make solid power until about 6200rpm and then die out
@@VTECAcademy ya those j series got some good flowing heads. well all Hondas hahha..I always wanted to do a Rotax j series ... a Rotax b series now that would be some fun hahah.
I think J would be way more popular if people could make them AWD also, as far as I know only some Acura J had AWD. AWD J swapped RD1 CRV would be a killer winter beater, and super reliable.
@@TrackSol I think you misunderstood the ?? Wich would be better a j swap ot k swap, me I think a J makes more power stock, so I feel it's the better swap but we will see as he makes more videos💪
That crash was insane. To be alive from something like that is truly remarkable
*_These J swapped hot hatches are such unique builds… It's awesome to see these swaps getting more common these past years 🔥_*

The grin on Brian's face when he "HA HA" while the car was idling, I do the same when a new project of mine turns on again 😂
Very interesting, I owned a TL in 08 and always thought it would be a beast with some boost!
Probably looking at somewhere around 397hp before swapping the pulley. Just a guess though.
Wanna see more of this already!! lol thanks for sharing all that info as well
The smiles when it fires up is the best haha
It sounded so raw in person.
Would love to check that place out; I have an accord and I can’t imagine this engine in a Honda eg hatch
I saw this at eibach in irwindale like a decade ago!!
Thought it was gonna be a heaton glad it wasnt I do wonder if the zzp intercooler would fit under an m90 on there
TVS EATON SC for the win. i have a 1.9 blower on a 5.0. its no slouch
420 HP! Love the videos!
Could you please do a series about what it takes to put a manual trans in a 2001 up style odyssey? Do you sell the mounts?
Best build yet! So excited for this build love it!!!!

I love it when someone does something other than a B or K turbo setup. I had contemplated a H series build for a rear engine Del Sol.
Cool stuff. Nice work.
Thanks for watching!
I think it's pretty cool that you hired that homeless guy to be lead fab at your shop 👍🇺🇲...great video cant wait to see this thing run!!!!

488 hp. Just my guess. Love this build!!
Looks crazy !! Love ur guy’s content keep up the good work 👍🏽👍🏽
Awesome… 14:02 sounds exactly like a ported rotary engine, lol
What shifter setup are you running? I have the cl-s shifter that came with my motor but a bolt in option would be nice

420 hp, 69 ft-lbs of torque!
Patiently waiting for you guys @VTECAcademy to continue the RD1 K auto swap.
Lets not forget the civic you brought onto pinks with the turbo B series? , or was it a D series?
B-series CRX. Full Race had the D turbo Civic
455 hp sounds amazing.
That is definitely cool. Very tall very cool
Nice work guys. Guessing 450hp/400 tq before pulley swap. Which axles are going in?

I hear your plight we are just Honda guys though.
When your done getting that SC broken in, you should switch gears and turbo it. That things going to be spincity with slick's.
I'm sure you could get an intercooler brick in that plenum if you were tricky enough
Is there any application that supercharger actually fits under the hood??
Ridgeline
holy shit youre alive after that crash is the craziest thing
What's the difference between the Tl and the pilot V6
Absolute legends
Can you do a swap putting original engine back and fully restoring a Honda to stock
Great video!
@Vtecacademy do you believe the J swap and will be the kryptonite of the K series? J2k ?
Phoenix PD must love you guys 😂😂
this is a great channel and video
Pretty dang cool
How hard would a manual swap be in a rb1 odyssey??? I’m wanting to do it as it would be the best daily. Help me plzzz
More j series vids on wiring would be dope
The ridgeline had a supercharger? Wow
Aftermarket. Not stock.
Come to nky race my crx its a j30 full motor got about 360 wheel

Yes
What hondata ecu you using ?😊
The new JSwap ECU. It’s based on the 07 TL ECU.
J SWAP ARE GREAT AGAIN!!! LOL
420hp ftw
Looks like it’s straight out of Mad Max lol. I’m guessing 500-550whp with the right pulley combo.

Ok so with a 90mm TB giant supercharger with a tiny pulley, bigger injectors plus e85. Should be around 505hp. Good luck fellas

458 on pump gas, 530 on E85
When is this going to be on this vs haters
586hp final
that throttle body looks awfully small for that combo
Now we just need a j to K comparison. U feel J series you get more bang for your buck🤷♂️
There's a bunch of Ks to compare to. We'll have to see what it does once we get it tuned and track it.
I think J would be way more popular if people could make them AWD also, as far as I know only some Acura J had AWD. AWD J swapped RD1 CRV would be a killer winter beater, and super reliable.
There are J series engine to K series trans adapters. People are working on making J2K AWD:

402 HP
375hp is my guess
Really that’s it ? I’ve seen naturally aspirated J series motors making north of 300.
With a TON of torque. That seems like a reasonable number.
That’s a pretty low number. I guess it all depends on how much boost they can make with pulley changes.
