If you have a blender, make a smoothie. Recipe: Two cups organic baby spinach, half an orange, 5 chunks pineapple or mango. Chop up some fresh ginger to add. One cup of orange juice or water. Blend till smooth and drink. You can also use blueberries or strawberries. Strawberries are good for the lungs too. Make sure if you eat eggs, get the pasture raised eggs. The yolks are a beautiful orange color full of more vitamins and minerals. The commercial eggs come from chickens in cages or crammed together in pens. They are fed soy and corn diet, also injected with stuff. Pasture raised are roaming free eating of the grass and bugs. I get the organic Vital Farms pasture raised eggs from Whole Foods. You can also make a nice vegetable soup with organic carrots, onions, garlic and mushrooms. I use organic baby Bella and Shiitake which is good for lowering blood pressure. Also get some organic bone broth like Pacific unsalted chicken bone broth. Sauté veggies in extra virgin olive oil in large soup pot or Dutch oven. Add bone broth and bring to a rolling boil, then turn down flame and simmer with lid on for 30 minutes. Add peas towards the end or spinach or kale. Forgot about canned Salmon and Tuna good for eyes with Omega 3 fatty acids. Also canned sardines which have good source of iodine. Get the Wild Planet salmon and sardines. All there canned fish is wild caught. Don’t forget avocados, good source of vitamins E, A, C, b7, b5, b12. 58 milligrams of magnesium, and more potassium than a banana. Not to mention biotin’s. Mash it up with sea salt, chopped up garlic and fresh lime juice. I spread mine on a toasted whole wheat club roll. You can put slices of eggs or lettuce.

I just want to say something:
I had poor eyesight when I was younger but I tried to ignore it because I didn't want glasses or contacts.
I did my research and started eating more healthy foods such as red meat and tons of fruits. And my eyesight did improve to the point where I saw very clearly. I had really bad malnutrition so my eyes weren't working like they should have been, so when I started eating all these nutrients they returned to normal. I'm pretty sure it works for some people if they're still young and suffer from the same problem

I used to eat tons of carrots as a kid, voluntarily - loved them and growing up, my mother used to say I would always have great eyesight. Grew up on sardines, leafy greens, too. Mediterranean diet, basically. Fast forward to now - 60 year old with thinning retinas. A retina break was found last week and I have high Myopia, too. This sucks. No one else in family has this. What the heck happened. Non smoker, too. Is there Anything we can do at this stage to preserve what is left??

Moringa has 10 times as much vitamin A as carrots. Even though it's a green plant (tree).
Aronia is also a lot higher in it's antioxidant effect than orange. It has a substance called OPC which boosts vitamin C (which it also has) by a factor of 10. Aronia is a lot more potent than orange in it's antioxidant effects.

Recently started green smoothies and added sardines and more sweet potato. almost immediately the flashes stopped! If I skip 2 days, they return. She gave good advice on nutrition, but she left out one huge fact that the world is never given by doctors. The body has a number one enemy that is the main source of numerous health issues, and that is processed sugar. When you eliminate all processed sugar from your diet, you will begin to reap the health benefits beginning with weight loss. And if you remain steadfast in this plan, your eyes will begin to work better as well, as long as you haven't gone too far in your sugar consumption, and caused permanent irreversible damage.
Stop drinking all soda. Stop eating sugar filled desserts, candy bars, and anything that contains sugar.
This the best medical advice a doctor can give you, and many of them are trained to NOT tell you this.

Hello. I was recently diagnosed with Dry Eye Disease. Along with taking Omega 3 supplements, I am eating more tuna fish. I like the StarKist Lunch To-Go packages containing light tuna in water. I also have the Bumble Bee Lunch On The Run Tuna Salad Kits. I also have the StarKist Chunk Light Tuna in vegetable oil which I use to make sandwiches. Tuna is really the only type of fish that is convenient for me. Am I doing a good job or should I learn to cook salmon, etc. Thanks!

Could it be that the eye muscles loosen with age? But I do need glasses for night driving. I eat sardines and salmon..avocados, etc...all the good stuff....but will add more green leafies. I found Intermittent fasting (IF) helps me to reduce the black imagery of floaters on my left eye. two weeks back i was having circular small black floaters on my left eye that were bouncing all the time. But now its gone. There are some scholarly article on fasting which are having impact on the general eye health. Could you please elaborate on this part ?

YOUR SPEECH IS SO EASY-FLOWING. I'M NOT USED TO THINKING OF DOCTORS AS PEOPLE WHO IMPRESS ME, BY THEIR WAY OF SPEAKING. I HAPPENED TO BE THINKING, TODAY, SINCE I GOT UP, THIS MORNING, OF A FORMER CLASSMATE, WHO'S AN EYE DOCTOR. WELL, HIS WAY OF SPEAKING DOES GET ONE'S ATTENTION. THERE'S A WORD HE'S KNOWN FOR, MOSTLY, IN FRENCH, MEANING "PERFECT", WHICH IS "PARFAIT", FOR THE WAY HE SAYS IT, AS IF AN ACTOR IN A DRAMATIC PLAY, RATHER WITH A FUNNY EFFECT. IN SCHOOL, I KNEW HIM TO BE QUITE ELOQUENT. TODAY, I WAS THINKING ABOUT THE TIME WHEN I WAS "CLASS PRESIDENT", UNDERTAKING THE TASK OF PUBLISHING A KIND OF CLASS MAGAZINE, A TRADITIONAL THING, IN THAT CLASS. WHAT DID I KNOW ABOUT HOW TO FULFILL THAT TASK, AS CLASS PRESIDENT? NOTHING. LUCKY FOR ME, A FEW STUDENTS OFFERED THEIR KNOWLEDGE. HE WAS ONE OF THEM. WE MET AT HIS HOUSE. AND, THINGS GOT ORGANIZED. I ONLY TAKE CREDIT FOR THE EDITORIAL. AND, NOT QUITE : MY TEXT GOT TRANSFORMED, A TEACHER EDITED IT, MADE IT BE DIFFERENT, IN ESSENCE. EVER SINCE, I ALWAYS WONDERED ABOUT EDITORS. WHERE'S MY TEXT? SO, THE MAGAZINE GOT PUBLISHED, WITH SUCCESS. THANKS TO BRIGHT FELLOWS WHO KNEW ABOUT THAT SORT OF THINGS. THAT LEFT A POSITIVE IMPRESSION, IN MY MIND, ABOUT THAT CLASSMATE OF MINE, WHO'S AN EYE DOCTOR. THE REASON WHY I THOUGHT OF HIM, TODAY, IS OTHER THAN EYE TREATMENT. AND, WHEN I SAW YOUR VIDEO, I GOT INTERESTED. SIMPLE COINCIDENCE. OR NOT.
