Although I often talk about health and safety in my videos, please make sure you do your own research and take the relevant precautions to ensure that you are protecting your health. I am not responsible for anyone using resin and not taking the correct safety precautions. Resin is a chemical and as such should be always treated with respect and the manufacturers safety advice taken.

We use let's resin mix. Just got my wife everything she needed to start including vacuum chamber. Tons of colors including black light sensitive colors. To many colors to list. But it was worth it to see her smile and having fun.
Thank you for using your leftover resin to make something! I hate that some people seem to just let (whatever their choice of art supply) go to waste. Its nice to see someone using the leftover materials.
Thank you for emphasizing the safety portion. Liked the no waste part too. Good video!
The music tip is great. I always become impatient when mixing 😅 with the music on, I get to sing while waiting so time flies quickly
I am new to this resin stuff and am trying to gather as much info as I can before I actually start making things, and this video is so helpful. Thanks so much for sharing-I greatly appreciate your time, education, and expertise!

Hi Steve, another great video, love the art piece at the end. Other things you can use to colour resin are spices......cinnamon, paprika, turmeric are gorgeous and herbs can produce nice effects too. Great point to recycle and reuse plastic food pots 👍👏 . Xx
That resin painting turned out beautiful! I love all the colors and the cells!
Thanks for sharing there is still a lot I don't know about resin. Your tips and tricks help a lot.
Thank you so much for your explanation of resin differences - it helped me a lot!

So Steve, you recommend putting the cups of resin in the hot water, over the resin bottles ??? It makes more sense, as heating and cooling the bottles over and over doesn't sound like it's best 👌
Really well explained. Found it very helpful as not used resin before. Many thanks. The craft resin starter kit looks good. Hoping to make some coasters from reclaimed wood with some small items cast into a resin coating 👍
Steve, thank you for sharing. I really need this kind of tips and trick because recently I've been thinking starting to do resin art. Today I'm found your video and I'm really grateful. The way you save the waste I really love it. Thanks from malaysia. ❤
Glad to know I can use eyeshadow to color, I have a ton 😂

Lovely video, thank you. I applaud you for taking time to speak about safety!
I’ve always wanted to make things with epoxy resin but have zero experience with it. I love your videos! I’ve learned a lot and I love your personality and how you aren’t “putting on a show” and acting like someone your not. One of my favorite things about watching the videos!! So THANK YOU all the way from the state of Maine USA💗
Just starting resin- was so helpful to watch!!
This is a brilliant video, definitely made me want to try it. I've seen some love marble and crystal ones that would make really nice wall art 🎨
I’m in America, Thank You for the information.
Hi Steve and thank you so much for your frank and honest explanations that will save so much time and money! Xxx
Just want to say u helped me out a lot I’m looking into making some fun lil project to make some extra $ an u are the best teacher !!
Awesome job !! No waste No haste! Enjoyed the lesson.
Thank you! I have been so excited to try resin and have watched a lot of videos on it. I have everything I need to get started but I'm scared and nervous to do it! lol. It's stupid, I know!
Loving this too! Resin is amazing & always looking for more tips on it. I learned a lot from watching Archangel. One other tip is if spraying any alcohol on it, be careful torching. I did that once & my whole board was on fire. Obviously, I didnt think that one through. I have seen others torch with the alcohol mix in it or sprayed on & it worked out fine. But, I won't be trying that again soon. Ha!
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts ha....just have an extinguisher handy!
This helped so much. Thank you! I'm a total newby and all my searches just gave me more questions.
I started using the Amazing Clear Cast resin that you can order from micheals for pretty cheap to test and practice on new molds so I don't waste money. I do love the Clear Cast from Amazon.

This has been the most helpful video I've seen yet. I'm wanting to start doing these types of crafts. Do you have a video on just the types of mediums you use to create art on? (ie: flat canvas vs framed canvas, can you use wooden boards).
Thanks!

Thank you so much! This was so informative. I am definitely subscribed. :)
Awesome Indeed😁👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💯 thank you so much for sharing
Also you're the 1st person I've seen to not waste all the spillover whew🤷🏽♀️ I would always ask the video Instructor Artist through my phone of course, 🤣🤣What are you going to do with all that paint spillover? Seems like a waste of materials! Art supplies can be quite Expensive and I'm a Queen of re-purpose, recycled things😀
I'd never seen an Resin pour WOW❗
EVERYTHING was Fantastic and Beautiful!
I always learn so much from you keep it up💯❗😁👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thank you for the information very useful😊to me
Thank you so much. I want to include resin in my artwork.
Love your tutorials. About to start using resin, have ordered mask and gloves. Looking forward to having a go 🤩
Thank you for this upload. I'm so interested in this never used before and am looking into it so this was very informative 😊
Hi there, I'm brand new to resin. I have just purchased pretty much everything. I just have not played with it yet. I did see online somebody suggested heating up resin, but they did not say to heat it in the water like you suggested and I think your idea is fantastic! They suggested heating it in the microwave. To me. I think that's very dangerous. I could be wrong, but that's my thoughts on that. Anyway. I just subscribed to your channel and I can't wait to watch more of your videos. Before I dive in and start playing with resin.
Steve McDonald Arts and Crafts hi how are you .Please can I ask for your help my daughter who is also a young carer for me would like to start resin as an outlet. Please could you advise me of what to buy her to start and practice with first as cheaply as possible. I really want to support but is seems so confusing she is just 15. I can give you my email if easier to communicate thanks so very much. I am sorry to bother I understand if you can’t help but I just want to buy it and let her get start especially for all the extra she’s done lately xx
Superb Sir👌👌
Hi Steve I have just w your video on how to make a bowl out of feathers. I have never laughed so much 😂😂😂 great video Namiena
Is everything okay my friend? You don’t seem like your usual bubbly person… you need to bring your spark back (I know moving is tough, but you can do it, there are so much exciting things you can accomplish in the new place, you just need to believe in yourself 🙃)
Thanks
Thank you for the info awesome🥰🥰
Comparing prices sometimes it’s cheaper to get liquids from hobby store rather than Amazon .. just a lesson I have learned with doing art
Very helpful videos thank you
So beautiful and helpful, thank you 💕
First time viewing of your excellent channel. I'm just researching before dipping my toe into all things resin making
Very useful Many Thanks
I love that painting -- the colors you chose are so lovely, they remind me of stone. I'd love to have a counter top like that. Will you ever do a counter top pour someday? That would be really great. Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
Gorgeous!
Thanks Steve great video,very helpful
Hi Steve, thanks for explaining all of this! I am looking at creating some resin key chains and jewellery as a new hobby- Which of all the resins would you recommend? Thank you
I know this is an old video, but you showed your peice, "Dancers in the Moonlight." Can you do a video showing how you used the alcohol inks for this peice? Really awesome look.
Such a joy to watch would you say 1to1 mix is best for a beginner I’ve been using 75+25% but finding it hard to get a good cure … lovely doggie btw TY
