The name of the tool you were looking for is a pattern tracing stylus or ball stylus tool. I'm a paper crafter and we use the same tool on our score board for scoring the paper to easily fold and have nice tight folds and corners. Also you've inspired me to step out of my paper craft comfort zone and into the unknown of resin and how awesome it will be if I can learn to make bits and bobs and things for my junk journals and merge the two amazing crafts. Thank you for all the great info and inspiration ❤

Hi Daniel. The tool you are using to make patterns is a Pergamano ball tool. They use it with Vellum parchment work to "puff" out say a leaf or petal. In recent years it has been adopted by other arts to do dotting work with paint etc. Thanks for the AI info

I always see 👀it listed as a multi-purpose ball tool my for pottery sculpting and clay crafts.
I have seen it in sets for tracing, drawing, nail art, paper crafting, embossing and general sculpting. The tool your using is mainly used for working with clay, I have two if not 3 of them from different clay tool kit purchases, I think it is indeed called a stylus because it is used in SO many different crafts and in so many ways.
To sum it up, It's one handy little tool. Another handy dandy little tool is the "weeder" tool with Cricut. Love that tool, Get yourself one. I bought a Cricut and mine came with one, and I think most people that have one will agree.
I fell instantly in love and carried it over into my resin, pottery, clay you name it,. Do yourself a favor and get one today if you don't already have one...... You will never look back. 💓💓

So helpful! I been doing resin for 4-5 years now n I made some beautiful n unique items I haven't seen online yet but this was really helpful because I have many sinkers n thought they work the same. I didn't realize different ones make different effects actually. I ran out of my first one n bought pinatas because you can refill n I didn't wanna keep running out. So many people stood by it but Its not my fav because it can skip color n you get pastel or white petri look too depending what inks. I have many tim holts n several fade without the sun actually. I don't know if some people get paid but I'm not a fan. I do love let's resin just started they're resin but had many inks. Thnx for the honesty because I probably would have saved so much money if I seen this sooner. Thank you so much!

I really hope you see this, even though this video is a year old...LMBO,
Better late than not at al..... The little rounded end tool you were asking about is called a ball stylus. A quite handy tool mainly used with clay. They come in a large array of sizes and are amazing little tools for both clay, when you need to create curves, indentations, and subtle texture depending on the size of the ball and pressure applied to the tool. You can actually do the same with resin when you catch it right before curing ion that soft stage. Endless applications for the ball stylus.
The larger the ball the greater definition and larger piece you will be working with. You should try working with clay if you haven't already, (I know you have) you will be hooked!
All of the the different tools that are specified for each craft are SO interchangeable on a lot of others, the possibilities are endless. Like the weeding tool for Cricut vinyl, Yes love my Cricut too.
But, How did I ever live this long without such a tool in my life I will never know, and don't want to, as it is the most versatile tool ever all crafting. I believe I own 4 now. :)
Coming in quite handy in a wide variety of ways the possibilities are endless.
OK now, I didn't set out to write a eBook on crafting tools. So hope you see this and hope it helps. Try the many sizes of the ball stylus out in your resin, I would LOVE to see what you could do in resin with them. ...... Challenge? perhaps?

I apologiz(s)e once again for being late to the dance but Imt4ying to catch up on your technique videos. Yiu are absolutely the Dr. Frankenstein of the resin world and I'm getting so much from each one (except uv resin....I had a negative reaction to it and ended up in hospital)
When it comes to mixing colors, as a makeup ans fashion girlie, I am well versed in "warm" vs "cool" colors so when adding colors to resin I stick with either warm or cool colors NEVER both! So hopefully that will make it understandable for the other makeup and fashion girlies!

It’s a stylus. Some people use them for darling, mandalas other people use them for clay work. They’re a handy tool with multimedia.

It’s a dotting or marbling tool. I used to use one for designs when I did nails.

Hello Daniel! I'm new to your channel and found you by searching for the best way to use alcohol ink and you were first. Excellent explanation and tests on color and inks. I'm very very happy to be able to achieve the patterns I've been trying to get !! Thank you!

The Pinata ink is pin-yotta, like what you beat at a child's birthday party and break, filled with candy. I really thought the yellow and purple one was going go be awful, but it was actually very pretty, even without the white, lol.
