@@mbrontiBut it maxes out at 720p, 25 fps. That's poor quality for tennis video. Tennis TV encodes their highlight videos at 1080p, 60 fps, and it's a much better viewing experience than the WTA videos.

Collins is on fire. It's a shame it's her final season.
Never be so sure when a player says it’s their last season or when they’re going to retire. So many times players extend their careers or come back (ex. Wozniacki, cornet, barty). If she’s still making bank and does good this year, I would assume she would keep playing. We’ll just have to see

@@tennisfan1706 I wouldn't rule out a comeback, but Collins has been open about wanting to leave the tour for a while now, and it seems she's finally decided her health issues has caught up with her tennis. It seems regardless of how well she does this season she wants to step away

Well Florida is a very big state and she’s not from Miami. She also left UF to go to UVA where she won two collegiate championships, not like Ben Shelton who won twice for Florida

Unforeseen rise from Danielle Collins. One one was surmising that she was literally going to dismantle the resilient rivals in these types of appearances and progressing into the higher rounds in the beginning of this noteworthy WTA tournament. She has definitely made a huge difference with her presence and efficiency. From time to time, she can be steady and stable in some international events but she must retain her this consistency and mastery. I figure out this advantage and dominance of Collins on home soil. It is one of the most substantial contexts to see the glory of Collins.

Me too! I feel like she could be a top 10 player with better mental toughness and a little more patience. Absolutely devastating power game and probably one of the best two handers on tour. Just to clarify, I’m talking about Collins. I assumed you were referring to her impending retirement after this year.

Why is Collins retiring??? I'm not updated on the tour scene. I would describe her style as "violently beautiful" 😁
I think it's been brewing, but I think losing to Iga at the Aussie after having the match on her ratchet might have just been too much. It's hard work to compete at that level.
She has RA. It’s very difficult to play at this level consistently when you have RA.
An article I read said Caroline was having trouble with her shoulder but I didn't notice any flincing. Dani is playing so well and probably relieved she doesn't play Iga in the next round.

Garcia actually winning tournaments is so rare, what a shame. She just can’t seem to go all the way despite some good performances along the way.

Match ups can be so weird. Collins was 3-0 against Garcia before this match. Garcia has never won a set in 4 matches.

It’s not a scar it is cupping
Cupping is used to increase blood supply. She is probably recovering from shoulder injury.
Garcia was literally foot faulting on every serve but was not being called on it. She had been, Collins would have dusted her 10 times faster.

Age is catching up to her and her losing to Swiatek the last 5 meetings
She said she was ready to start a new chapter in her life and since getting diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (last year I think) she says while she has it under control she doesn’t know how long she can play health wise.
