- Guys this is Part 4 of a 7 hour day trip from my home in Bucuresti (Bucharest) in Romania to Silistra in Bulgaria for lunch and then back home! This is after lunch, loading on the ferryboat at Ostrov just next to Silistra, to cross the Danube. We both didn't know that crossing the river here is not crossing from Romania to Bulgaria, or vice versa, it is actually crossing from Romania to Romania. The border here changes from the middle of the river and heads 90 degrees to the South and back onto land. So both sides of the river here is Romania.

Its only a 90 min drive directly South to the border crossing at Ruse, or 75 kms. Then drove from Ruse to Silistra, about 120kms East. Left at 0800, got to Silistra about 1230, had lunch and headed back to Bucharest by 3pm!
The ferry or bac in Romanian, to head back is located at 479J+G2 Ostrov just clear the border check, turn left at the T-junction and follow road. Price has gone up to 70 lei from 50 lei or about 10 Euro per car, but fuel has gone up too so it is what it is.

@@BitsofEurope It is ok, you are showing the life how it is, not editing/ fakeness. Something we are swearing, we are irritated, and it is fair enough , because real life is not like on Instagram : only smiles and sunny days. 😉
Correct. I hate political correctness. Its not so much the swearing I edit out, that's life like you say, but occasionally we may be talking about things like religious or political beliefs and as you know so many people ready to complain or report you these days. But I agree, life is tough and swearing is not always nasty, for Australians in particular and Romanians its used to emphasize things in a good way 😅. I have said before too, nobody swears like Romanians, so many different ways to do it 😁

Yeh about 15 minutes...very strong current, so it sort of goes sideways partly with it, then cuts back upstream a bit.
Great series - but the next time you compile a video of a road trip please interspace the road video with at least an insert map with the journey's progress indicated.
Yes mate I did in some older videos but stopped I don't know why. Future road trips etc, I will do so ....I like seeing that in others videos so noted and taken on board....ty for comment.
