Hi. I've got 6 of these cars, as well as a few that are the same but branded by different manufacturers, 1 is new in the box. I also bought a load of New Old Stock spare parts from the US. I really love them. All of it is in storage at the moment. They're cool buggies with really long travel suspension that is great for rough ground, but is also it's main weakness. The problem is it quickly develops play in the linkages and even worse is that there is way too much flex in the shock mounting points meaning the wheels can move around a fair bit without actually activating the shock/spring itself. I see whoever had it before has mounted what look like aluminum oil dampers. If you can remove any play from the linkages and stiffen the mounting points those dampers should help it handle loads better. Looking forward to following this build 👍 subscribed

That's a lot of cars! In fairness I have not noticed that little mod, I assumed it came like that originally. And yes I love the suspension design on this one. Many thanks!

I had one of these as a 12 year old back in 86, hated it to be honest as I had asked for a Tamiya or Kyosho kit. Took this to the local RC club and it handled so badly I couldnt get round the corners. It's a toy not a proper RC. Props to you for bringing it back to life though and it did spark some memories!

Feelings are still hurt. I lost a few of these in a storage years back.
