I'm SUBSCRIBING. My mom has a microwave. It doesn't open when you press the button at the button she said she don't like it she's going to buy another one. I told her don't throw it away I want to take some parts. The parts I'm going to take out is the fan, the power supply and the electric keyboard.
Always discharge the capacitor FIRST before touching a microwave, just in case it's holding a charge, and as long as you dont crack the beryllium or try and grind it out, the magnets inside are worth keeping. Just be careful, I think I it's best for people to know how to take them apart safely, otherwise they'll never know.

That's exactly what I did. Also kept the magnets, being really careful about the beryllium. Thanks for useful tips!
