I can confirm, nitro engines do not need an exhaust to run. I had the exhaust come off the engine and still run for a minute or so before i turned it off
Nice little score!..😎👍 I noticed that you had to tighten up the header an that end piece of the muffler , those leaks probably caused lack of pressure to the tank ,also be weary of that type of fuel line because the inter dimension of the tube is tiny an may restrict the fuel! I have fuel line like that an cant use it because the hole is too small an it does not provide enough fuel flow!
Nito engines had been around in racing for years but in the late 80s a young man desighned the first nitro 2.5 cc engine for rc followed by the 3.3 which were the first TRX engines. The mans name was Keith Danieal Robinson. Keep in mind nitro engines already existed he just desighned the first for RC.
Mystery solved. Hmm.. might be how the back pressure flow of the exhaust is out upwards then use to seeing the side. Maybe it's not getting good pressure to fuel tank and yes I learn something new from you today. Thanks dude.
Looks like a kyosho rampage or a sand master with different tires. The sand master mkII was my first car my dad bought me for Christmas. I've been looking for one for years to purchase for nostalgia.
Believe it or not I got that hoodie when I was 8. It was massive on me, I’ve worn it daily since it started to fit me when I was around 15 😂 best hoodie ever!
OMG a OLD 90’s Traxxas Nitro Bandit. What the HOW did you Get that. oh MYYYy the luck you got bro. Are you a Lucky. Do you Have a Pot of gold at the end of the rainbow to ☺️👊👍👍
@@HaggardRC That is so rare. There is only 1 other video on RUclips. Make sure you get a good buck for it. It’s worth a bit I’m sure. How much I wouldn’t even know 👍☺️
It is funny how you always say:"Is it a Traxxas?" and i read Traxxas at the spoiler the whole time😂 p.s. i think something is maybe wrong with the back right wheel (maybe bearing) because it stops immediately after you let go of the throttle
@@AlfieFury I just said a nitro bandit that they didn't make the bandit vxl is awesome tho! I have one of those altho the vintage nitro rustler back in the day did have a similar bandit chassis so I can understand why some people would mistake it for the bandit.
I know exactly what that model is & what company/country they originally come from. (I have one brand new! in a box) but yours is a miss-match of other 1/10 scale nitro models. Shell/Spoiler looks to be from a traxxas bandit electric buggy, wheels/tyres & what looks like a Vertex VX .18 engine are from Acme/HSP Models. Shocks are not original either. The Tank, Chassis are original, you have a plate missing from the RX/battery area, the servos look as if they've been swapped too! alloy pull-start provides extra cooling IMHO. Right, they come from: Australia! made by a company called GV Models (Great Vigor) No longer around as they are 30-5+ years old. What you have is a GV Panther 1/10 buggy. As for the person whom 'Thinks' Ferdinand Porsche made nitro cars in the 30s is Wrong! he designed Full Size Grand Prix cars & Land Speed record cars. Not models/toys! RC cars are thanks to RC plane flyers, it all started in the 1920s when modelers/hobbyists found they could use an RC planes fuselage with wheels & a 2 stroke glow engine, on the ground, by tying a string to an arm, sticking out of the fuselage & the other end to a pole, then they'd start the glow engine & let it run round & round, they were called 'Tether cars' they went from the 1920s & way up to into the 1960s Still used/collected to this day. (they are not cheap!) You need deep 1000++ pound pockets 😲 Nitro RC Cars started there journey at the start of the 70s after all the tether craze, I believe it was 'Team Associated' whom put out the 1st Nitro/Glow engine RC car. M0*** (sorry on-air only) Steve. You looking forward to your 10watts going to 25watts this month? I might catch/hear you at last 73s back to you Ben/Uncle Bulgaria/Mr Bean - M6XSZ
Your a foundation license holder right ? max TX power was 10 watts, it goes up this month. Ofcom upped it to 25watts. Beats the chicken banders on 12 watts SSB 😁
That is indeed a Traxxas Nitro Bandit , very very rare! They were fast can't wait to see you run it
You'll never believe who invented nitro engines. Ferdand Porsche in the early 30s.
Tether car wasn't it
I wish I was as good as you at diagnosis of nitro problems.. Man ur a genius 👍
I can confirm, nitro engines do not need an exhaust to run. I had the exhaust come off the engine and still run for a minute or so before i turned it off
Your a genius when it comes to these nitro engines
Yeah this is not his first Rodeo

Yeah I agree but have had success using it for the back pressure line
Real impressive diagnosis man well done.

I know some of those mufflers were a mess with back pressure. They look good but I don't use them
May also have some parts from a duratrax nitro evader BX buggy installed on it
You just opened my eyes to why my nitro has been running lean specifically when tank gets half way I’m taking that stupid thing off thank you
Some engines will run fine with a filter, others won't 🤘🏼

Well this one is for sale...
Haha I have done that same thing with the exhaust line. Sometimes they need some help
Nice video mate. I really enjoyed the video. I love surprises too😊💯👍always before play. Therapy . Stay safe mate👊🏻
Mad how i find info i need. Im starting my cars that not started in 4yrs, 2 more left back pressure is an issue glad i seen this trick when i did
Glad I could help 😊
Use a fishtank pump to pressurise the fuel system for testing purposes so you dont have to use your mouth 😉 Gotta love the taste of nitro 😁
Haha well I'm not that bothered about a bit of nitro 😂
Long live nitros.. love the content

Looks like a Protech, with wrong body / wing on it.

Looks like a rustler mate , I might be wrong but don’t think traxxas made a bandit nitro , anyway watching from Canada🍻🍻🫡
Canada oooo pleasure to have you here!
That is a duratrax sc truck, traxxas never made a nitro bandit
Very true, it’s a Duratrax Maximum BX also traxxas did do a bandit but only a electric one 👍👍

It says on the wing traxxas
I want to say that is the Traxxas Bandit, but not sure? Its a Traxxas chassis
Your guess is a good as mine 😂
Buggy
Way too much metal in it for it to be a Traxxas :)
I'm pissed I got scammed for a losi nitro a few days ago I wish I would have got mine
How on earth did you get scammed?
It is a traxxas bandit bud but the front shock towers have been changed. That's why the shell don't fit right pal..
Least got it running dude know it's old
Runs like a dream 👌🏻

its not traxxas but don't know what it is
It’s a UFO
Looks similar to the duratrax maximum st chassis
It might be a Rustler Nitro Sport.
A modified Traxxas nitro
Bandit from traxxas hmmmmm
