Hey mate. In future. When switching parts over from one to another like the pull starters. Try show us the work being done. It’s more enjoyable to watch. Love you mate
Thanks Haggard mate! I was worried when the engine started making that noise I was sure something had broken inside! You got it going though nice one! Look forward to seeing it perform!
Well I just got the same motor of eBay for around 80 amazing but 28 look totally different. I was hoping that he would run well. I’ve only pulled it apart and cleaned it. So interesting to see how it goes. Thanks for sharing.
Nice engine ,I think the engine has not been broke in ,the sleeve is so tight that the piston is damn near getting stuck in its pinch ,an that is probably what happened! I would try to find the factory carb sets an get some proper heat to the engine even if you have to put a sock on it as there is such a thing of an overly pinched sleeve!..😎👍
The engine had had about 2 tanks through it it in total does need running in I put it in a buggy and after ripping my fingers to shreds trying to get it started I put a roto start on it, I found after a while it seemed to be leaking fuel I removed the head and it has a very tight spot at the top of the sleeve as most engines do especially when new. I had one of these engines before and thought that it was probably a one off but I found that it was the same as the other one it wouldn' t tune right and there was always a puddle of fuel around the engine so I guessed it was coming from around the front crank bearing and maybe allowing air to get in aswell which may also have been a reason as to why it wouldn't run right and would not run at low rpm very well. Glad to see it running though and it looks great in that buggy hopefully there will be another video with it running and with no issues.
You changed the glow plug after taking it out? I reckon its the carb too. Maybe an air leak? p.s. the neighbor would like some revs for sure🤣 there is nothing better than the high pitched nitro sound😀
don't seem to run too bad sounds like a air leak that is causing it not to idle correctly could be the carb or sometimes the from bearing can leak which causes issues too but best to tick stuff off as you go Awesome Video :D
Yoooo my guy always getting killer fkn gifts man! That's awesome keep up the good work brother I'm heading to the Uk in a few months Maybe I'll look you up and stock you Hahaha!! Just kidding Cheers m8!
Hello Ηaggard! I have put 2 return rubber bands on the carburetor but they are not strong enough to push the servo back if it stops working! I have the impression that even a return spring wouldn't help... the servo is: HB-5518MG and it's quite hard just moving it by hand. Is there anything else I could do to get the servo back to idle if the servo breaks? Thank you very much! And as always your videos are very entertaining and educational about RC cars! SUMMER IS COMING!!😎
You can feel when they’re tight enough, perhaps it looks like I’m doing them tighter than I actually am? The one in that Nova was a bit seized in there I don’t think I’ve ever taken it out 😂
hi aill went out my car runing nice then hit my car in to a tree steering column and front arm to but got spares so be back out again with it//// hope aill good// fun haveing rc car it went flat out // nice video 🤣🤣🤣
I got two hypers one a pbs and the other not sure that's got a sirio 27 in it..the pullstart is fitted to that but when i took of its just a fixed pin coming out of the plate and it got a one way bearing aswel on the shaft csn u get one for this one
I got an hyper 21 nitro. It got no pulstart and its jus blanked of the shaft is not even there for one way bearing..do yiubhave these bits to fix so saves using start box
Hey Haggard, I have a question/issue you might be able to help me with. I bought an ftx carnage and zorro a couple of months before xmas, I'd say I've been out with them about 15-20 times, maybe got through about 10 litres of fuel between them at an estimate (so about 5 each). Both appear to have lost a lot of compression. One of them has lost almost all compression and there's no pinch that I can feel when I try to revolve the fly wheel (hope my terminology is correct). Does that mean they both need a new piston and sleeve already? I expected them to last a lot longer... Bit puzzled if I'm honest... Any help anyone can give is greatly appreciated
That's odd, unless you abused them they should last longer... Are they dry? Try putting some oil or even just Nitro in them through the plug hole and see if they feel better.
If the engine is tuned for very high RPM, in other words running lean, the nitro engine time is limited. Do you know what the temp the engine was running? You can kinda monitor the temp by occasionally wetting your finger with saliva and wiping it on the cylinder head, if it boils off immediately it's too hot. Open high speed needle 1/8 turn, and try from there.
@@stevehilligoss4982 Appreciated your response. I havent abused either of the cars and they've only been used lightly. I've been following others advice to run them on the rich side for longevity, so they've hardly been leaned off after break in which is why i'm so puzzled by them. I dont have a temp gun unfortunately but on occasion i do put my hand on the head to see how hot it is, and i havent burnt myself yet I dont think they've overheated, or been run lean.
Sorry about that last message but shouldnt you richen the low and high speed jets and start from there I never really seen any smoke come from the engine thew whole time you were messing with it. I think it was lean from the start.
Those mini battery testers are also alarms. You can leave it plugged into the battery balance leads while you're using a model, and set a 'minimum' on it.. when your battery reaches the minimum the alarm goes off until you unplug it. Mainly for flying models, since a dead battery would mean a crash.
Hi just wondering if you could help me out as I have got a shengqi hummer with no steering servo and I am just wondering if you could help me out with wat I need thanks 10:27

She's a tight one that's for sure... We'll see when I get a chance to run her 🙂

How you doing bro I like your RC car looks cool
You're welcome bro have a good day

The bands aren’t to move the servo, just the throttle if the linkage pops off. If the servo itself goes then, there is no answer… 😎
Nice buggy
Like that car
I know you know your stuff but I am surprised how tight you do your glow plugs up. You have a big plug wrench so the torq must be huge
You can feel when they’re tight enough, perhaps it looks like I’m doing them tighter than I actually am? The one in that Nova was a bit seized in there I don’t think I’ve ever taken it out 😂
Look like a 3.3
looks like the mid range screw is turned in rather than being flush that will mess tune up alot... it it has one as cannot see very well on video
There is and it's flush, I ran my finger over it and it feels flush too.

Are you sure the pin doesn’t come out? They usually do.
Come on people stop giving this guy broken engines lol 😆. You deserve a spanking new one.
With any engine that you got from anyone sho
#wonkyshelf ❤ love it ❤
Most things made in Japan are top notch
Yeah I agree, didn’t use to be that way though lol
I got an hyper 21 nitro. It got no pulstart and its jus blanked of the shaft is not even there for one way bearing..do yiubhave these bits to fix so saves using start box
Some crank shafts can’t be used with pull starts. My hyper 21 is starter box only.
Hi yeh got a few rolls hw mny u after

Is it possible I didn't get them up to temperature when I ran them in (as it was obviously cold before xmas)?

@stones4879 have you tried the oil yet?

I see what you mean, I think the some doesn't always show up on film... There was a fair bit, she was definetly lean though.
Having same issue with SMT engine in ssk Thunr Tiger running dies run like 20 minutes die
That’s engines for ya matey!
